This is a lovely story about two people who once loved each other then went their separate ways only to be unexpectedly reunited a decade later. They have history and misunderstandings to work through to see if they can get a second chance. This book is well written and there is a lot of emotion for them both that the author seems to effortlessly take us through. Nicely written book.

This story of Liza and Connor has it all. All the emotions and feels that you need in an oustanding book. This starts out as a second chance romance, but it becomes so much more. You can feel the hurt, fear, and love between all the people in the book, especially between Liza and Conner. Two people trying to overcome the past, only find that they just needed each other along.

I had to stop a few times due the emotional pain I felt from reading this. This one was a lot more bang, then book one with Leah and Scott and I had to have some tissues around. I’m won’t reveal anything but it’s a HEA from both POVs and we also get to catch up with Scott and Leah and little Caroline.

What a wonderful story. It’s a wonderful story is of second chances for broken people. A story of how one choice can effect, not only your life but the lives of those around you. Learning how to forgive and move on, it was the theme of this book and it made me cry numerous times as Connor and Liza had to learn this lesson. This story has key elements that make the reader appreciate the history of the story setting of New Orleans and uses the stories as part of the main story. It’s seamless and doesn’t seem as though it’s being rammed down your throat but more like it’s enriching your life knowing more.

Connor and Liza had a history, their story ending almost before it started. Meeting up unexpectedly when she had to move to New Orleans they both had to face the past. And she learned that truth about his demons and also realized that she need to come clear about the secrets she has. Their story is one about two people who loved each other but was pulled apart by one of them having to deal with grief more that he could handle. It is a story about forgiveness, second chances and the triumph coming from that. I received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.

This is a second chance contemporary romance with amazing characters and they are so well developed also. I love that you can really feel what it might be like to be living in New Orleans. This author does a wonderful job of reeling you in with her colorful descriptions and wonderful secondary characters also. I can’t wait to read the next book.
