Vegas screwed me. That’s the only way to explain the ring on my finger and the man attached to my hip.Sure, Cody’s hot. I could rip his clothes off and lick him like an ice cream cone. But it’s not about my heart pounding lust or the magical night I can’t remember. We’ve got a problem. Two problems, actually. One, he’s my best friend’s brother. And she’s about to murder me.Two, I’ve got a … about to murder me.
Two, I’ve got a television contract that voids everything I’ve worked for if this leaks to the press.
But hey, annulments are easy, right?
Except Cody doesn’t want one.
He needs me to get his billion-dollar inheritance.
If he wasn’t such an jerk, maybe I’d help.
But he teases me. Makes me think he really cares.
Really loves…
This isn’t a game. Cody’s gonna have to choose. It’s me or his money. He can’t keep us both.

What do a Bachelorette party, a Pay-Per View Fight, a chance meeting between old acquaintances and Las Vegas have in common? That’s easy… Alexis Livingston and Cody Gleason! My Favorite Mistake is a wonderful example of the truism that sometimes the best things in life happen when we aren’t looking! Alexis and Cody’s relationship builds throughout the book based on a healthy combination of conversation, connection, chemistry, and compatibility. As with any whirlwind liasion, the couple experiences the trials and tribulations that happen as a result of two people transitioning from being independent individuals to being part of a couple. From a the start, the career aspirations of the couple is the central focus of the storyline and guides the way in which the relationship unfolds. It is the opposition of professional goals that sets the stage for series of internal and external conflicts which are complex and realistic. The characters in this book are ones that I found myself rooting for from start to finish. The book is well written, the characters are genuine, and the plot is not only plausible but well-developed. This book is truly a sweet romance and a great read.
I couldn’t stop reading this book! It drew me in the moment the two characters meet and the chemistry was so strong between them that I could feel it thru my kindle.
This is the story of Cody and Alexis who get reacquainted on a wild weekend in Vegas. She is there with a bachelorette party and he is there with a couple of buddies for a pay per view fight. His sister is her best friend from college and Cody used to come visit. He is trying to figure out financing for a new hotel he is wanting to build, and he runs into a hiccup with his inheritance from his dad. She is working as an actress just getting her soon to be big break. Not going to reveal anymore as I do not want to spoil story. I really enjoyed this. It is a solid, fun read with lots of smoking hot chemistry, a little angst, and characters that you just have to like. I give this 5 stars.
Alexis is in Vegas for a Bachelorette party where she runs into her best friend’s brother Cody. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, not all the time. Sometimes life takes turns that surprise us. A marriage for love or did he do it for money? Great storyline full of drama, secrets, a Vegas adventure, humor, passion and twists that pulled me into the story.
Shelton and Quinn story is full of drama, suspense and a lot of angst that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A great fun read. Can Shelton save Quinn? Can they have an HEA? A fabulous wild rollercoaster ride of emotions. I honestly volunteered to review this arc.
Sage and Melody are friends before they become lovers. Sage has a lot of issues that he needs to work out before he can commit to Melody. The story shows the highs and lows of the struggle they endure before they can find their happy place. There is lots of steamy action as their relationship starts off on mostly being a physical one and Sage seems to only be able to express himself in that manner. Eventually he learns to open up and find that life is better.
My Best Mistake:by Sarah J. Brooks is a beautiful and emotional story that breaks your heart but then sweetly pieces it back together. Jason and Brooke are great characters who drew me in and kept me caring about them. There is pain, joy, lust, fear… so much emotion. And I loved every moment.
Loved this storyline. Loved the connection between Cody and Alexis.
Cody is in the hotel business, but in order to expand and do a new hotel that no one has ever seen, he needs backing for that investment. But when the bank says no and there is a trust stipulation, what will Cody do? Will he find a way to secure the future for his hotel?
Alexis goes to Vegas for a bachelorette party, but when she sees Cody there, it is a happy coincident. Cody is Missy’s brother who is Alexis’s friend. So when they spend time together, it is natural, but what happens when they see each other as adults? And when Alexis talks to Missy, she finds out so much more. But what will happen between Cody and Alexis? Will love survive? What about her career?
This is a great story of love and, like the title, mistakes that turn into happy ones! This is full of drama, love, lust, romance and so much more. You will love it. I received an ARC of this book from the author.
A drunken night in Las Vegas with your secret college crush, what could possible go wrong? Just ask Alexis and Cody. My Favorite Mistake was a great story of love, passion and secrets all wrapped up with a happily ever after.
An accidental marriage story when done well is a true joy, and that’s certainly the case with Alexis and Cody in Sarah J. Brooks’ My Favorite Mistake. It’s a real pleasure following along as these two slowly figure out just how well their chemistry and personalities fit with each other, just how well they actually do belong with each other. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
Cody is a businessman and wants to expand into hotels in Las Vegas but he’s told to use his trust fund. To do that he must be married and he hasn’t got any woman in line for that! But then that weekend, his little sister and her friends are in Vegas for a hen do and he meets Alex. The really hit it off and there is steam heat whenever they are together. During a drunken night out the=y wake up to realise that they said “I do” to each other and are now officially married to each other. Oh boy! Great for Cody but Alex has just signed up for a new job and she must be single! What’s she to do? Absolutely great characters and a fun storyline that is a must read as it draws you into their lives. So believable and realistic that it seemed as if I almost ‘knew’ them. Sarah . Brooks really is a fabulous author and knows how to capture your attention and maintain it from first to last page. I look forward to her next book with anticipation. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. However, as I enjoyed it so much and knew that I would be re-reading this again, I purchased my own copy to support the author. Most definitely recommended
Two people running into each other unexpectedly, VEGAS, a bachelorette party, add alcohol and VEGAS!! What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas. A great read!!!
