After five years of being lost in the Amazon, archaeologist Chaz Vincent has finally come home to his wife, Kelly, only to learn that she has had him declared dead. When he attends his own funeral, Chaz finds out that Kelly married another man just that morning. Now she has to choose between them. Who will be her favorite husband?
the plot does not thicken
Too coincidental for me to believe the premise.
Poorly written, plot really plods and too much repetition, also story line kind of stolen from an old movie
If I could, I would give this book a negative star. My advice to the author – explore career options other than writing.
A wedding and memorial in the same day is the way this book starts out. Kelly makes it through the wedding but during the memorial for her husband, who was recently declared dead after missing for five years, he, Chaz appears. So Kelly, Chaz, and her brother, Scott, all load up in the limousine her current husband, Spencer, had waiting to whisk Kelly to their honeymoon. What you might think is going to be a comedy ends up mind numbing boring. With full disclosure, I ended up skipping from chapter 14 to the end chapter 18. There just is no good way to describe this book. Kelly is never really in love with Spencer. Spencer is oblivious to Candace’s feelings but is welling to stay with Kelly even when she tells him she is still in love with Chaz. Chaz respects no boundaries. Scott is the only comedic relief but it is brief. Amelia is annoying and doesn’t add to the book. Grace, Scott and Kelly’s mom, is just ridiculous and overbearing.
Not able to connect with the characters
Entertaining book!
Even though it was a little too predictable I love the way the author played up the prdictablity with humor and romance. Reading this book reminded me of watching Doris Day and Rock Hudson movies with my parents on Saturday mornings…I love it!!!!
Not worth the time.
Enjoyable but clearly not great literature. It has a predictable outcome but was a good quick read.
You never knew until the end, which was the favorite husband!
Reminded me of classic black and white romantic comedies. It was a delightful read that had me laughing out loud.
Very well written. Happy ending but a little too graphic at times.
Funny enjoyable read
A fun, interesting read with humor and a welcome change for someone who usually reads crime fiction and thrillers. Well done!. reads s
I thought this was a well written book until near the ending. The “wedding” was very far-fetched, even from a whimsical standpoint. Overall, it was a fun read.
Unexpected. Good read.
interesting rialisting and funny
Plot started out entertains but I felt that ultimately the story became less and less believable. Some funny moments though.
I liked the book. It was entertaining, funny. An easy read.
