Lady Juliet is happy. Very happy. After all, she’s engaged, even if she rarely sees her betrothed. So what if her betrothed keeps postponing their wedding? Or that there are wicked rumors about him? Still, when the Duke of Sherwood doesn’t appear at a ball as intended, there’s only one thing she can do: discover the truth herself.Lucas, the Duke of Ainsworth, is exceedingly dull.At least, that’s … exceedingly dull.
At least, that’s what he desires everyone to believe. He makes certain to enter into conversations with the ton about obscure plants and to quote Latin tomes while fiddling with his spectacles. By night, Lucas is involved in a different task: bringing down criminals.
No criminal is as elusive as the person spreading counterfeit coin through the Lake District, and Lucas is determined to discover the source. When he sees someone sneak onto the man’s estate in the Lake District, he expects to discover one of the man’s accomplices. Instead, he is shocked to discover Lady Juliet. Lucas vows to help her, no matter how distracting her alluring presence is.

Another light-hearted and amusing Regency romance by Ms. Blythe. This is the second book in the Duke Hunters Club series and I enjoyed it as much as the first book. Juliet is engaged to the Duke of Sherwood but rarely gets a chance to see him. When he doesn’t show up at a ball that he is intended, she goes out in search of the truth. Lucas, Duke of Ainsworth, appears to everyone as a dull, boring person and gives the impression of being only interested in plants and science. But in truth, his nights are filled with finding and bringing down criminals. When he & his friend Sebastian go undercover as highwaymen, they meet Juliet and her cousin and the fun begins! Although there were a few sad elements, this was overall a fun and entertaining read. I enjoyed the interactions between Juliet and Lucas, they were such a wonderful couple and had great chemistry. I am really enjoying this series and I can’t wait to read the next book. I also loved Sebastian and Genevieve & look forward to reading their story soon!

A book may surprise us even if other opinions say otherwise.
Juliet was happy. She was engaged to a duke, but the strange thing was that her fiancé was not seen in London.
She realized that every time she mentioned her fiancé, the duke of Ainsworth, to anyone, she was receiving pitying looks. And what was her shock when she discovered that he never showed up at balls because he was with another woman.
Well, Juliet was not someone who expected her own happiness. She went after him – in disguise – to find out the truth.
And the truth was that Lucas did not like the frivolous life on the ton,the balls and its gossips. But when he recognizes his future wife in disguise, he immediately takes it upon himself to protect her – beginning by trying to find out why she was there on that way. And he couldn’t wait to make her his.
The second book in The Duke Hunters Club series a well written story that I enjoyed reading Lady Juliet and Lucas, the Duke of Ainsworth’s story. I hope there is more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Which duke? Cute couple. Juliet is smart, perceptive, and not afraid to go after what she wants. Lucas is investigating a counterfeit ring when he and his friend hold up Juliet and her cousin. Then a few days later he helps her sneak onto the grounds of her fiance’s castle because her fiancé never shows up at balls and she is afraid he is sick. And the adventures continue between them until she starts to question which duke she wants to marry. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

This one is a cutie!
Juliet has her life planned and she wants to start living it. Her betroth is slow to the altar and keeps changing the date of course she understands but? So like any lady who wants to know the truth she set out to find was is true. Then Lucas the Duke of Ainsworth finds Juliet and helps her. I loved the characters Juliet finds that what she thought she wanted is not really what she wants now. Lucas was such a likable recluse. If you looking for some humor and romance with witty banter this is the one to pick up. It was a grand adventure.
This is the second book in the series “The Duke Hunters Club”, but it is definitely a stand-alone book. I enjoyed reading this book. It is about Juliet who was engaged to a Duke who she never sees and Lucas who is a Duke no one ever notices. There was this really cute, funny scene in the book when Lucas and Sebastian (Lucas’ friend) meet Juliet and Genevieve (Juliet’s cousin) for the first time. I was giggling and smiling. Because of this scene I can not wait to read Sebastian and Genevieve book next. (I will be counting the days).
A lighthearted Regency romance with amusing and sometimes laugh out loud moments, as Lady Juliet is determined to track down her missing fiancé. Coming from a dysfunctional family she longs for love but is in for some surprises. Lucas is on a mission and although the Duke of Ainsworth, he puts country before his personal life, even hiding behind the persona of a boring academic. His initial encounter with Juliet takes him completely by surprise but as he keeps on running into her, his dead heart comes to life again. Whilst well written and romantic, the book did end on a bit of a cliff hanger. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
