Growing up, life is idyllic for Lily Rose Cates due to one constant – her father’s love. But in her sixteenth summer, all that changes without warning. There begins Lily’s struggle to find herself and the life she’s lost. . . .
Marriage promises fulfillment, but her happily-ever-after barely survives the honeymoon. Her husband’s sophisticated façade hides a brooding man with even darker secrets. … secrets. When all illusions shatter, Lily must make hard choices – abandon her husband or risk losing much more than her marriage. She flees their home in Detroit and sets out on a fearful journey to a house in Georgia that her husband knows nothing about. This is one woman’s compelling tale of love and survival as she finds her way back home to who she’s meant to be . . . in her father’s house.

This is one of the best inspirational books I ever read, so much so, I actually contacted the author on Face Book! I highly recommend this book.
This book made me want to read it from the beginning to the end in one sitting! It also made me think about the little things in life and not to dismiss things that do not seem just right!
This was a good book focusing on realistic issues. This centers on a character’s life that has many twists and turns, but also is entertaining to the end. The story shows that being true to yourself and persevering through your trials in life rewards you in the end.
Loved it. Great story.
Well written, it drew me in right away. It was not your run of the mill story.
Loved it
Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I enjoyed reading this book because I prefer books that have an ending and
does not leave you hanging at the end and doesn’t leave information on the following book that you have to buy to really know what the characters actually did with their lives.
Loved the journey the main character takes as she ignores the guidance from family and God, lives with her mistake and then takes action to save herself and find herself. Kept me on my toes, for fear of what was coming, and brought a smile to my face as restoration of her home and her faith comes around. Add some romance, and it’s a great read!
I really Enjoyed it.
Good book with realistic characters and events
Started really slow.
Ok
Had a little too much steamy for my likes.
A very heart warming inspirational story.
The author did an excellent job with character development making them flawed, but easy to relate to. The redemptive theme was inspirational. I hope there will be a sequel.
A lovely story with a charming setting of a small, southern town.
Ok read. Started out very engaging then took a twist that didn’t seem to work well with the beginning and the over all plot.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was disappointed when I saw that the author had not published another.
