From bestselling romance author Xavier Neal comes a sizzling new standalone in the series that’s being called a MUST READ for any sports romance fans!Once upon a time, the Vlasta Vipers hockey team was so incredible — on and off the ice — they were almost mythical.Unfortunately, seasons passed and things changed for the worst, like a curse the team didn’t know how to break. The champions became … know how to break.

Every other university wants to beat them.
Every chick who crosses their paths wants to claim them.

Easiest way to prove he’s moved on is to show off his new girlfriend.
The fake one he immediately pretends to have.
The fake one he convinces his sister’s best friend to become.
The fake one he accidentally starts to fall head over blades for.
Will this left wing Casanova score one for true love, or will he hesitate to make the most important shot of his life?

Started a little slow and confusing but ended solid! The beginning of this book had me a bit confused, but slowly we gain understanding with the storyline and these characters. I definitely would advise reading the first book in this series, as it might help make sense and connect some dots as well. Aiden ends up having to work with his ex-girlfriend, and devises a plan to use his sister’s roommate Tatum to be his pretend girlfriend since she has never fallen for any of his usual tricks. Being essentially royalty on campus between his spot on the hockey team and his parent’s money, he uses those to his advantage any way he can. Tatum has her own set of issues and insecurities that aren’t really touched on in the book, where the focus was mainly Aiden and his problems with being able to have his parents accept what he actually wants to do in life. What starts out as a pretend relationship turns into so much more when feelings become involved and they try out being a real couple and when misunderstandings happen, it risks the end of their relationship for good. I was glad to see that this author provided an epilogue to show where Tatum and Aiden end up after resolving everything that goes down.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book is the 2nd installment in Xavier’s Hockey God series. I’m from Wisconsin and hockey is absolutely one of my most favorite sports ever. I love how Xavier was able to capture the romance as well as the Wisconsin hockey vibe. Tatum is our walking and talking calculator. She is super quirky and has a lot of love it give. She falls back on her quirks because they are faithful and she can trust them.
Adrian is of course, one of the Star players on the team, on and off the ice, but someone who has secrets of his own. When a blast from his past (and not a good one) comes to Vlasta, he has a little proposition for our girl. What happens when the lines blur and they aren’t sure where offsides is anymore? Will they be able to be themselves and look at what’s in front of them or is this just one more missed shot? Read to find out!
Xavier does an amazing job at showing both of the vulnerabilities that these characters have and how hard they had to work through them. As always, we get to see some of our other beloved characters. So many swoon worthy moments, extremely laugh out loud moments, and moments where I wanted to reach through my kindle and strangle them both. The dialogue between all the characters was smooth and flawless. The comedy is of course there as well. If you liked/loved the first book, continue on with the series and fall a little more in love with these dynamite characters. I personally am impatiently waiting for the next book in the series.
This book is not what I was expecting – it was so much more! The secret that Adrian was hiding is not something that he wants to let anyone know about. But when his ex returns and he needs someone to help make her jealous, Tatum is his reluctant assistant. What was supposed to be fake turned very real for both of them and neither knew what to do. In helping each other, they uncovered a love that will last a lifetime because they can both be their true selves!
Another great book by Xavier and an awesome addition to the Hockey Gods series!
My Fair Puck Bunny is Adrian and Tatum’s story. The book is a sports romance/sister’s best friend romance of a fake relationship. What the reader will enjoy is the witty banter, laugh outloud moments, the heated chemistry, and the love that pours off the page.
Read to find out how Adrian and Tatum handle exes and the not so easy life of hockey and puck bunnies.
Loving this series
intense emotional broken beautiful heart stopping love story of Adrian and tatum
grabbed my heart ready for more
Absolutely LOVED it from the very, very start. I was completely hooked on Adrian, his personality, his quirks, his passion for what he loves… all together made him an amazing character. I loved Tatum, she’s so smart, has her own quirks, has lots of attitude and sass and the way that she meshes with Adrian had me completely pulled in to their lives. This is a great story, it made me smile, it made me laugh and there were lots of characters that I loved and I cannot wait to get to know more about the others. A definite must read.
I really enjoyed Adrian and Tatums story. Adrian is a star hockey player on the school team. When he is asked to pair with his ex girlfriend on a project for a charity committee he doesn’t want to but he has to. She left him years ago for someone else and he decides he needs a steady girlfriend so he enlists the help of Tatum. The two are very different from each other but slowly over time they start to see they compliment each other. Good characters and a good story. I really enjoyed watching these two getting their happy ever after.
It’s good to know Rutledge hasn’t changed since book one, “it’s not,” Rutledge replies instantly. “She lives with me. Eff those rules.” I’m really not sure what to do with Adrian and his innuendos, “but like I still effing like tacos.” His grin transposes to a juvenile one. “I would happily eat the **** out of your fish taco.” The man has no boundaries, “do you own a g-string?” He’s quite a bossy **** as well, “no landing strip, either.” He motions his head at it. “Bare is in. Hair is out.” Adrian really doesn’t know how to keep his opinions to himself, “yeah, but you scream and cuss at me during ***, and that’s a happy time.” I adored this book, I actually liked it better than the first one in the series
This is the second book in the “Hockey Gods” series. It can be read as a standalone.
This book was charming, cute and quirky. Stratton and Tatum are a very adorable couple. This was a sweet and quick read.
We first saw Stratton in book one of this series and the first impression is that he likes his “puck bunnies”. Throughout this book we get a deeper look into who he is as a person. He is quite a complex character and not at all what I expected him to be like.
Tatum is simply loveable from the very first introduction. There is something about her that beckons a closer look. Her personality is completely likeable. You feel drawn to her from the start. While she isn’t traditionally a Stratton type girl, they work. Their differences really mesh well together. Their relationship escalates rather quickly but it actually works in this story. Their evolution and journey was heartwarming.
If you enjoy a semi-instant love story, hockey and pop culture; this is a must read.
I absolutely loved Adrian and Tatum’s story!!!! It was twisty and broken and beyond beautiful!!!! Way to go, Xavier!!!! You’ve definitely hit a perfect slap shot with this one!!!!! Amazing book!!
All the feels!! This is my first read of the Hockey Gods Series, I am sure to go back and read book one after this amazing treasure! I actually went from laughing to crying, to just plain out loving this book more and more.
This is book two in the “Hockey Gods” series, and they just keep getting Delicious.
This book was charming, cute and quirky. Stratton and Tatum are a very adorable couple who I loved to death. There Chemistry was everything.
I first saw Stratton in book one of this series and my first impression of him was “What a Puck Hoe”. The more I read this Book, the more I feel in love with this couple and him.
Stratton is truly a complex character that at first I couldn’t stand him in book 1. But after getting Into book 2 I felt his pain and the stigma his life was because of his Mother.
Tatum is simply loveable from the very first introduction. Her quirky way she demonstrates her Heart of gold.
There is something about her that beckons a closer look. Her personality is completely likeable, she had me in Stitches with her and Stratton play on words. ““You mean sham?”“No, I mean shabam. Combo of sham and shabackle.”
Who does that. These two..
You can tell right of the bat that Stratton felt some kind of way about
Tatum, he was drawn not for anything Sexual( Even though that’s a plus). But by her getting him where no one else did.
While she is not the Advantage Blonde he goes for, Thier difference mesh well for them. Even though the relationship was to soon, It work for them, and I watched them evolved together..(Ah Swoon Moment).
If you enjoyed the Xavier’s other Hockey Gods Series Book 1, You’re Gonna be Delightfully Happy with this one.
Once again Mrs Xavier you have brought me much Joy with your Outstanding stories. Much Love.
Book Review: My Fair Puck Bunny
Author: Xavier Neal
FIVE STARS
This is the second book in the Hockey Gods series.
Tatum and Adrian are total opposites in all sense of the word. Tatum is quiet and a mathmatical genus. Hard working and serious.
Adrian is the outgoing, out spoken, athlete that has a hidden secret.
Tatum is also Adrian’s sisters best friend and when he approaches her with a proposal, will she laugh in his face or actually go along with him idea.
Wonderful book, Ms. Neal has an amazing way of throwing things into her books and making things good with them. Skin conditions, interracial couples, I adore her writing and can’t wait for the next book in this series.
KLH
I loved the fast, fun, dialogue in this book. The story was intense at times with emotional feelings and love. Adrian and Tatum were excellent characters and developed well. I enjoyed their story very much!
A great read, I highly recommend this book!
Xavier Neal scores with My Fair Puck Bunny (Hockey Gods #2). In this story, Vlasta Vipers hockey player Adrian Stratton’s ex-girlfriend, Daniella Sulivan, is back in town. He must work with her on a charity committee. He recruits his twin sister’s friend Tatum Rojas to be his fake girlfriend to prove to Daniella that he is over her. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for New Adult readers.
My Fair Puck Bunny is a fun story. At first, I wasn’t crazy about Adrian, but as more was revealed about his true personality it made me like him further. Adrian puts on an act with everyone but Tatum. I love that with her, he can finally be himself. She accepts and encourages him. Simultaneously, I appreciated how Adrian gives Tatum the confidence to come out of her shell and believe that she is beautiful. Daniella was an easy to dislike antagonist. I hate how she treats people.
Xavier Neal does a great job with this novel. It is skillfully written and creative. I like that Ren and Poppy from Can’t Block My Love (Hockey Gods #1) played roles in this story. I recommend this story to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Woah… Well damn… I am going to make this short and sweet.
You need to read this author and you need to read this series and book.
It was amazing and yes I find a lot of books amazing because they are both this here is going down as a 2020 favorite. The author sucked me in from page one with Adrian and Tatum’s story.
It’s a fake relationship that turns in to so much more and it doesn’t take long for it to happen. It was made obvious that these two were meant for each other. There was so much expected of Adrian by his father that it overshadowed who he truly was at the beginning but as I got deeper into the plot I could see this man was kind and sweet, and just an around decent person… But having to act and be a certain way for his father.
I loved how the author wrote Tatum into this and how Adrian was comfortable and content enough to let her in and to show her who he truly as. I think these two were perfect for each other and I thought balanced each other out in a way and as the story progressed their bond and love only strengthened.
I couldn’t put this down. The author and her style of writing were flawless and her words flow so easily as you read them that hours later I looked up and realized it was 4 am and I had finished the entire book!
Perfection!
6/5 Stars!!
When Adrian needs a fake girlfriend, stat, who better to convince to go along with his insane plan than his sis’s best friend, Tatum? Except soon the fake part of this fake relationship morphs into real feelings. Feelings neither expected, especially straight to the point, math loving Tatum who is the opposite of the normal puck bunnies Adrian is so used to being with.
Wow, I loved this hockey romance! Adrian is so different than the facade he presents to the world and Tatum is the perfect woman for him because she sees through his bs and into the real him inside the hockey god persona. I wasn’t expecting his character to be what it ended up being, and I appreciate that Xavier Neal took him to an out of the box place and that she gave him an amazing woman to love like Tatum.
This was such an amazing romance. Adrian and Tatum’s story will send your emotions on quite the roller coaster ride. These two were quite the pair. Their vast differences created many opportunities for laugh-out-loud humor, while the emotional connection they shared was a never ending source of heartfelt sweetness. One thing you can always count on when you read one of this author’s books is that the characters will be unique, thought provoking and genuine and that continued to be the case for this book. Tatum and Adrian will steal your heart with their complexities, flaws and insecurities. This book is beautifully written, quickly captures your attention and will have you fully invested in these characters, this couple and their HEA. This read is filled with intense emotions, drama, humor and steam. A simply delightful romantic comedy that you do not want to miss.
Such an AMAZING sports romance!! Stratton and Tatum are terrific characters. Its intense, twisty, steamy and sooo emotional. The witty banter and writing style made this very enjoyable and fun to read, I couldnt put it down.
Xavier Neal I am loving these Hockey Gods!!
Sports romance is one of my faves and this one did not disappoint! The angsty ex girlfriend vibes, a sports hero and a math nerd all lead to some very steamy scenes!
This was an easy read and I flew through it.
