Ewan Cameron’s big, lumpy sheepdog has fallen in love with English bluestocking Lily. Will sexy highlander Ewan fall for the bookish beauty too?
Ewan Cameron, estranged grandson of the Duke of Lotheil, is in London because of a deathbed promise made to his father and has no intention of staying beyond his three month obligation. Nothing can tempt him to remain, not even Lily, the beautiful … tempt him to remain, not even Lily, the beautiful bluestocking determined not only to restore relations between him and his grandfather, but to turn Ewan into a proper gentleman. Ewan, proud of his Scottish heritage, refuses to admit that Lily, a blue-eyed, English girl, has claimed his heart. It doesn’t matter that his big lump of a sheepdog is madly in love with her. Nor is it significant that Ewan can always tell Lily apart from her identical twin sister. Always.
Lily Farthingale, the scholarly twin, dreams of becoming the first female member of the Royal Society. She grabs at the chance when the elderly Duke of Lotheil approaches her with a proposition – he’ll admit her into the Royal Society, if she helps him to establish a relation with his estranged grandson, Ewan Cameron, a very rough-around-the-edges Scotsman who hates everything English. Between shootings, explosions, and Lily’s abduction, Ewan ends up falling in love with Lily in this Pygmalion-inspired story.more
What an entertaining read. The story kept me turning the pages. The writing is impeccable.
Loved it. Lily is my favorite out of the sisters. And bonus. A Scot!
I love a strong female lead
My Fair Lily is book one in The Farthingale Series by Meara Platt. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Platt does a great job of developing her characters and giving them each their own unique personalities. I think I fell a little bit in love with the hero – Ewan Cameron. He is a braw Scot. Lily is the intelligent twin in the series. A bluestocking …
A delightful froth of a Regency romance with lol descriptions of Cupid’s 4-legged helper!!

A lovely read!
I love the Farthingales! The book was entertaining. It was full of intrigue, humor, and lots of love. The characters were well-written and likable from the beginning. Even the big lobby, Jasper was a delightful addition. I think the rest of the series will be as entertaining and enjoyable as this book and look forward to reading the series.
Unique characters that draw you into their world. Funny, filled with action, humor and love
While I was going to purchase it, I just realized I already had it. I was glad I forgot it, not because the book was bad but because while it was the first one published in this series, it is the 4th one in the reading order.
I saw the twins grew up in the three previous books, and now the last two books left to read are their stories.
I had some …
Enjoyed so much that I purchased the rest of the series
I really liked the respect the hero showed toward Lily.
Wonderful reading
More like this, English dry humor and continuity of characters shows the author”s dedication to “truing” the plot and the denouement.
I found a new favorite author!
Charming historical romance with a bit of suspense.
The story line kept my attention.
Cute, fun story.
I loved it, could not put it down until I finished it.
Strong female character.
