Okay, so he wasn’t actually my ex. August is my best friend’s older brother, and he just went with me to Macy and Gideon’s wedding. You know, friends with no benefits. Then we ended up having sex at said wedding. At the reception, not during the actual ceremony. Hello, I have some manners. We agreed to not do it again. Until I thought I was pregnant. And instead of being upset, I was happy.Except I … thought I was pregnant. And instead of being upset, I was happy.
Except I wasn’t. Pregnant, that is.
Then I drunk dialed August and asked him to make a baby with me.
On purpose.
I wanted to take it back. To die of shame.
But the next thing I knew, he was at my door…
Author’s note: The hero doesn’t start out as a single father, but practice makes perfect. My Ex’s Baby is a standalone romantic comedy with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

This is a great story about best friends older brother. Kinleagh and August started off just friends until Macy and Gideon’s wedding and a drunken night or two of fun. I loved this story I couldn’t put it down Must Read!
Taryn and Cari deliver another steamy HEA story with Kinleigh and August. I must say, these are the first characters of theirs I didn’t instantly love. Kinleigh’s insecurity, though explained later in the story, was annoying, and the fact that August put up with it — I just couldn’t believe it. The story-line itself was fine — and the writing superb as always, but I won’t be sad if we don’t revisit these particular characters again — bring on the next book!
If you know anything about Crescent Cove is that you don’t drink the water unless you want to have a baby. This is a great addition to this series. It’s better if you’ve read some of her books but totally enjoyable if not as you get to meet so many new to Crescent Cove characters.
KInleigh is a fun loving friend to many, especially Ivy. Unfortunately Kinleigh had a rough childhood and Ivy and Ivy’s family have given her a “family” she missed out on.
August is Ivy’s brother and hot guy that creates special woodworking pieces below Kinleigh’s fun loving shop.
After hooking up one night, Kinleigh decides she wants a baby with August but August wants more. Kinleigh is afraid that if they hook up more, it can not only ruin things between them when it fails but she’ll also lose her best friend Ivy and she’s not sure she wants to take the chance.
August is willing to work hard to earn her trust.
Love these two together!
I loved this book from page one all the way to the end, especially the ending! August and Kinleigh are absolutely adorable. They share a work space, him the ground floor and her the upper floors but they also share Ivy, August’s sister and Kin’s best friend. The book starts with Ivy giving birth to Rhiannon and August and Kin as the birth partners and, oh my, after a sleepless night they share a kiss. Just what August has been wanting and Kin has been dreading because now she knows what she has been missing. Fast forward a couple months to New Years and Macy’s wedding and reception and August cannot take it any longer and snags Kin and off they go for a little alone time. Is there a baby or not? When the test comes back negative Kin decides she wants one and August is all in but she wants to keep it secret. This one was so good! I love this series!
Sweet Romance
August had known Kinleigh for some time seeing that his sister Ivy was Kinleigh’s best friend and had become a part of the Beck family since she really didn’t have one of her own. Even though best friends no one really knew of Kinleigh’s past and she wasn’t a person to really open up to love and have people sticking around.
Now, August knew what he wanted and was going for it…if he could only get Kinleigh onboard with the idea. Kinleigh was afraid that if anything started with August, Kinleigh could lose her best friend.
Their story was funny, romantic and a little out of sorts and once started their chemistry was crazy. This book was fun to read and had me wanting for August myself. Well worth the read and I can’t wait to see what comes next from this baby booming town!
I absolutely loved August and Kinleigh’s story. They have been friends for a long time. Kinleigh’s best friend is August’s sister and she was keeping a secret from her. Kinleigh was afraid that once she found out that she has been hanging out and more with her brother that she was would be upset. August is one of the good guy that he would wait for Kinleigh. Kinleigh had such a rough past that she was afraid that everyone would leave her.
Kinleigh and August have known each other forever it seems. His sister is her best friend, so they are friends. And that’s all it can be. Too bad he makes her heart race.
August has wanted Kinleigh for a long time. A kiss leads to more. One night. According to Kinleigh, that’s all it can be. She can’t risk losing her best friend. Even for the man that makes her feel.
But this is Crescent Cove and there is definitely something in the water.
What a great addition to the wonderful Crescent Cove series. This one is definitely one of my top favorites in the series. This one took awhile to come out, but was totally worth the wait. I really love a book that I can get so into that the outside world disappears for awhile!
Another entertaining story from the Crescent Cove series. Kinleigh and August make for a very sweet couple. Overall the book is a fun, quick read and fits well with the other books in the series. I always find myself looking forward to the next couple who drink the “Lake Water” It really helps to have read the rest of the books so as to keep the characters straight and to understand the whole town and baby concept.
Taryn Quinn has written another amazing love story!
Kinleigh is a shop owner in Crescent Cove and it’s right above her best friend Ivy’s big bother August’s furniture crafting shop.
Kinleigh has no family, just Ivy and hers as she grew up with them.
So one drunken night at a wedding with August, they finally hook up and weeks later she finds out she might be pregnant. And when they both find out that she isn’t, they are both very disappointed. Kinleigh now has baby fever and asks August to be her baby daddy, but he has to keep it a secret from his sister as she does not want to ruin her friendship with her, and her family.
This book has smoken hot love scenes, funny as hell, and great characters. Must read!!
Another amazing book. These ladies know how to pull you in and make you feel like you are part of the characters world. I never want the books to end and always want more. I love the communities they create and can’t wait for more. I’ve never read anything from them I didn’t like.
Oh my goddess, there is just so much to LOVE about My Ex’s Baby!!! I swear, every trip to Crescent Cove is better than the last.
While we see some familiar faces, this story centers around Kinleigh and August. I love these two!! Kinleigh is so strong, independent, sassy and quirky. She has some childhood baggage that stops her from letting anyone in. August won’t give up though and that makes him super swoony. They have chemistry….oh boy do they have chemistry!!! One drunken night leads to giving in. It also leads to a pregnancy scare. A scare they both realized didn’t actually scare them.
I went through so many emotions ready this book, especially when it came to Kinleigh. I know her pain and her doubt in her worthiness of love. I just wanted to hug her. I also wanted to shake her because my goddess, August is right there!! Gah!!! I love their perfect HEA. Another amazing book by Taryn Quinn!!
The charming town of Crescent Cove continues to bring people together and increase the population. I’m not sure why the title is My Ex’s Baby as Kinleigh and August were never a couple but once you get past that you have a sweet romance.
August is just realizing his feelings for Kinleigh. Kinleigh doesn’t want to admit her feelings for August. An ex did a number on her psychy not to mention the damaged caused by mom.
But August is a patient man and he’ll help Kin any way he can, even giving her a baby.
Kin may get on your nerves a little with her hesitancy in admitting to August and everyone her feelings but August is the perfect man for her.
Another successful romance in the Cove.
I received a free copy of this book.
I don’t really think the title is accurate since August is not an ex. I wish Kinleigh shared more with Ivy, who is supposed to be her best friend. I really felt bad for August through the story—he wants Kinleigh to be his love and she will not allow it to happen. I just ached for the poor guy—so close, yet so far away through most of the book. I love that so much of the story is from his POV.
Crescent Cove is a charming little town that has magical water that makes the babies start a booming! Taryn Quinn has created a world full of enticing characters that I keep coming back and back and back to read about. Each story introduces new friends or relatives and here we get to fully immerse ourselves in Kinleigh Scott and August Beck.
Kinleigh and August had sparks, they had looks, they had secret feelings and in their book we get to explore just how deep all of those feeling go. We go through their love story at a pace that made me anxiously wanting them to be together. It made me antsy, it made me yearn to know just how they would end up together. All the reservations about their love towards each other was what kept me going. They kept second guessing themselves and it was a sight for sore eyes. That drove the story. I didn’t know how bad I wanted these two to be together until I was knee deep in their book.
We were introduced to secondary characters that were quirky, fun and they gave us breadcrumbs of what I want to see next.
Crescent Cove is one of my favorite worlds! Taryn Quinn write more Crescent Cove because I want a DILF of my very own!
Absolutely worth the wait. Don’t drink the water! That should be the sign as you drive into Crescent Cove lol. Watching Macy take and your best friend taken down by the water would definitely have your clock ticking. Then add the hot crush of all man August with his lil hints of mutual attraction and you know there’s going to be lots of trouble throughout this book. But if you’ve read this series you know it was a long time coming 😉
Truly enjoyed this feel good, heart beating read. August and Kinleigh are such a sweet couple. So much cuteness and sex appeal. Another Cresent Cove hot hit.
I’ve been waiting to sink my teeth into this one for a while now!
It’s finally here! I have been waiting with baited breath for Kinleigh and August’s story since reading Rockstar Baby. I knew these two were going to have some amazing chemistry. Now it’s time to kick back and enjoy their story.
I love that Kinleigh is a maker. She can see the potential in old, used things and breathe life back into them. She is driven in her work and in creating a successful business. It’s not easy, but to Kinleigh, the struggle is worth the effort. Plus, Kinleigh is no stranger to hard work. After being placed in foster care, she learned at an early age how to pick herself up by the bootstraps and overcome.
August is a super sweet guy that also has a drive to make his way in life. He comes from a good family that is there to support each other. He’s also used to hard work and following his passion. August is a fellow small business owner and a maker of beautiful furniture.
These two seem like they are a match made in heaven. August knows this. The whole town seems to know this. Everyone, that is, except Kinleigh. Why is she fighting their chemistry so hard? Kinleigh can’t seem to take a chance in her love life that would jeopardize the only “family” she has. The one she was able to cobble together for herself like so many of her attic treasures. While August would give her the moon and the stars, Kinleigh is unable to overcome her fears of losing it all by trying for too much.
It is beautiful, and hauntingly sad at the same time, to see these two people who are so right for each other keep missing the mark. Their chemistry is so off the charts that you want to shake Kinleigh up and open up her eyes. If she’s not careful, she will end up not only losing August, but the family she was trying so hard to protect. Luckily, this is Cresent Cove and all good stories end up with their own baby!
I’m such a huge fan of the Crescent Cove series. August and Kinleigh have such a strong connection. August is all in but will Kinleigh open her heart? Kinleigh thinks she has so much to lose but will she realize she could have so much more? I enjoyed their chemistry and their desire to find happiness. Their story includes characters from prior books in this series which makes it all the more enjoyable. Huge fan of this one!
My Ex’s Baby has captured my interest from the start of this series. This is a fantastic addition to an already amazing series. A definite must read for all Taryn Quinn fans. You need to grab this book and read it.
