Okay, so he wasn’t actually my ex. August is my best friend’s older brother, and he just went with me to Macy and Gideon’s wedding. You know, friends with no benefits. Then we ended up having sex at said wedding. At the reception, not during the actual ceremony. Hello, I have some manners. We agreed to not do it again. Until I thought I was pregnant. And instead of being upset, I was happy.Except I … thought I was pregnant. And instead of being upset, I was happy.
Except I wasn’t. Pregnant, that is.
Then I drunk dialed August and asked him to make a baby with me.
On purpose.
I wanted to take it back. To die of shame.
But the next thing I knew, he was at my door…
Author’s note: The hero doesn’t start out as a single father, but practice makes perfect. My Ex’s Baby is a standalone romantic comedy with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Kinleigh is the queen of making junk incredible again.
August is king of making anything your heart desires out of wood.
He’s her best friend’s brother and they shouldn’t, but should they? Somehow they always seem to make beautiful creations when they work together. Can he help her over the hump and create beautiful babies?
I don’t know how they do it! This duo of authors create beautiful stories together. Always a little something extra at the end!
I enjoyed this book for the most part, I loved August and Ivy and the baby. Kin was someone whom I liked, but I felt like she had waaaay more problems than she should have and wasn’t thinking rationally for much of the book (babymadness aside).
*Spoilers*
Communication is key. Many of Kin’s problems come from her 100% shut down in the face of relationships she cares about. August has fallen for her and when he tries to tell her even an ounce of what’s in his heart, she stonewalls him like he walked in with a dead bird. She is so terrified, due in part to past trauma, that she can’t even tell her best friend of how many years that she’s in love. Heck, it takes her the better part of a year to be able to tell August that she loves him (ya know, after she’s very pregnant and they’re dating and the main communication problem is solved).
Throughout the book I kept thinking about August’s incredible patience and Kin’s amazing ability to mentally check out when she’s terrified. I was frustrated for so much of the book (much of the beginning and middle) that the catharsis at the end was great. I do have to say that I’m glad her problems weren’t solved all at once due to being in the perfect relationship.
I love this series! It’s such a fun lighthearted read & I’ve grown attached to all the characters, I didn’t really know what to expect with August and Kinleigh, but I was pleased with their story. August was super swoony and patient while Kin was occasionally annoying, She’s definitely not one of my favorite characters, but I still liked her fine and enjoyed their story! August however is a keeper and I super enjoyed him!!
Oh how I loved August and Kinleigh! These two have been dancing around each other for a while and I get why, she’s his sister’s best friend and therefore off limits and she feels that same. Until they can’t resist anymore and August is tired of waiting. I adored Kinleigh! She is the best best friend diving in feet first to whatever adventures her bestie is headed for. She is the champion of her business and August’s too. She has a past that she avoids and it has shaped her in profound ways. I want to sit with her and just be. August is the most patient man and I was he was real. Although he would be scooped up in a heartbeat if he was. Ha! These two make the perfect pairing and believe me they are as hot as a million burning suns
My Ex’sBaby is the eighth book in the Crescent Cove series. We finally get August and Kinleigh’s story. I loved these two so much. The Crescent Cove series is one that is light, fun and such great reads. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
