It’s not easy being the Donut Princess.Parties around the world.Unlimited budget.Living in a luxury hotel.Full-time security.Which was how I found myself being guarded by a Navy SEAL I hated. Aaron was bossy, as unrelenting an asshole as he was stupidly attractive. Nope. Not going there. Socialites don’t fall for the help…. But those socialites haven’t seen a shirtless Aaron Walker. My name is … seen a shirtless Aaron Walker.
My name is Femi Payne, and I want my bodyguard. No one says no to the Donut Princess.
Until him.

I really enjoyed the synopsis and the characters’ development; entitled princess and close-off military man figuring out emotions and life. What drew me to Femi is her wide open opportunity to grow an show emotional depth. I feel we got more of that from her (especially in relation to her family) versus what we got from Aaron. However, the way Stone describes Aaron will certainly excite the ovaries.
It is a novella with a cliffhanger. Maybe what I wanted was the complete story. There is another novella, The Exiled Princess, which should answer a lot of questions and fill in the gaps which left me wanting more out of the plot and characters. I think that is how the storyline dragged for me.
Overall, a fast read and enough steam to keep me reading. I’d read another Stone book and will be grabbing the second novella when it’s available.
Loved this book!
Aaron, a navy SEAL has decided to help his friend during the few weeks that he has off to protect the donut princess, Femi. Femi, is a spoiled rich girl that spends her time shopping away her father’s money and partying. None of her bodyguards have been able to keep up with her and quit. I love that Aaron does not automatically do what she wants when she tries to treat him like slave. However, it turns out that she uses her father’s money to fill in the void that her parents have left in her life. With Aaron she learns that she does not need any money to be happy.
I cannot wait to read their next book and see if she can make it without all the luxuries that she has lived her life with.

One would think being a body guard would be a low stress break for a Navy SEAL. Be warned that this book is steamy but it CAN be read in one day. I’m wondering if there will be a sequel?

Donut Princess Femi has several bodygaurds because of all the kidnapping threats. Aaron a Navy Seal on leave offering to help his buddy being a body gaurd to Femi. The chemistry and will is there but he is afraid she can not be accepting of a seals life. When a death threat comes in, their lives are turned upside down. Great action and HFN ending. Look forward to more from the seal team.

A well-written story it is part of The Guilty Series, I am now looking forward to reading the next book. It is Donut Princess Femi Payne and bodyguard Aaron Walker’s story which I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I also bought it.
We rarely get to experience a SEAL in a romance story doing his job. In My Donut Princess, our Hero, Aaron, is the Navy SEAL on leave, who takes on a bodyguard assignment for a friend. Our heroine, Femi, is an heiress who has chewed through previous bodyguards assigned to protect her. With a kidnapping threat present, Aaron stands his ground forcing Femi to abide by the rules of her bodyguard or lose the person she feels will actually keep her safe.
This novella essentially introduces characters, but we don’t get a lot of depth from the important supporting cast, like Femi’s parents, on what’s driving their respective decision making. The story ends on a HEA for now, and the author promises to answer many of the questions I had in another book. This book could have used some additional editing for typos and grammatical errors, but still an enjoyable read.
Odette Stone is the type of writer that I absolutely love and want to punch in the face at the same time. Each one of her books is funny and sexy. They have interesting characters and the writing is smart. I never want the stories of to end and that is why I love her. The stories do end and I need more and that is why I want to punch her. She has me addicted to this seal team and I need more.
