Heidi considers herself a strong, independent, professional—definitely not the type to fall for a macho, dominant, alpha male like her neighbor in 6F. Yet when she overhears his kinky, sensual escapades one evening, she finds herself as intrigued as she is horrified. Surely that’s not spanking she’s hearing? And are those whimpers from the woman in his bed caused by pleasure or pain? She tells … herself she is not attracted to… whatever they are doing. But when she has an unfortunate run-in with Mr. 6F himself, the connection is electric. To her great consternation, she finds herself imagining what it would be like to be under his authority, or bound to his bed.
Dominic thinks he’s tasted all the pleasures the lifestyle has to offer without the messy complications of an emotional connection or commitment… until he meets Heidi. The night she finally gets up the nerve to ask him to put her over his knee, he’s more than happy to oblige. This sassy, adorable woman draws out of him a desire to protect and lead, awakened with growing fervor as he introduces her to the erotic, intoxicating world of Dominance and submission.
But when Heidi and Dom are thrown together in an unlikely series of events that tie them together professionally, they must separate business from pleasure. Or will they?

I’d read the entire series and then realized I’d somehow neglected the first book. Duh!! What a great beginning it turned out to be. A Dom who only hit it and quit it once, a natural submissive who is willing but confused with a bit of reluctance thrown in, a mother on a continual rant, a kidnapping, and an escaped villain. This book of only has all the scenarios covered but characters so personable they’re absolutely relatable.
Now this book had us at the edge of our seats the whole entire time. They way that the characters jumped out of the pages, it was amazing. It was like…did that really happen, wow never expected that one and most of all it gave us a sense of security. The world sees this kind of things as bad but I see it as an opportunity. It makes us feel that there are guys out there who cherish us and wants to to be happy. This book gives it to us and man you can’t help but fall hard for all the guys. True gentlemen. I absolutely give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy
My Dom – Jane Henry—His name is Dom. I just feel like its cheating somehow when you make a double entendre like that built into your character’s name. lol! Anyway! Heidi and her assistant Paul are trying to figure out how to untangle an embezzlement scheme at a local prep school as independent consultants without causing a scandal. In the process of getting used to her new neighborhood, her spoiled dog falls in love with her neighbor. And as it always happens in this sort of thing, he turns out to be the principal of the school she is investigating. Paul is doing most of the investigating on the case, so Heidi can feel less torn about falling for Dom. Lucky for her, Dom has connections when her sister needs saving from a douche canoe who effectively kidnaps her. She returns the favor when she and Paul set up the real criminal at the school! Happy Reading!
In book one in the Boston Doms series, financial/audit consultant Heidi Morrow has just moved into a new apartment. Though she tries to ignore it, she often hears her next-door neighbor having really hot BDSM sex with various women.
Dominic Angelico is the headmaster for a prestigious school, and a man in his position cannot blatantly parade his unusual lifestyle to the public. No longer satisfied with casual D/s relationships, he realizes his new neighbor is just what he needs but everything he’s been trying to avoid.
Dom and Heidi are fun characters. He’s strict and patient as a good dom should be. She’s feisty enough to keep him on his toes, but she also needs to let go and let someone else care for her. The H/h fit really well together. There was some miscommunication between them and surprises neither expected, which added to the drama, but I liked how they talked about it and settled things before something small became overblown. That was really nice and refreshing.
Matteo, Dom’s twin brother, is definitely hot and intriguing, and I’m anxious to learn more about his military past and dom lifestyle. Hillary, Heidi’s sister, found herself in some bad trouble. I would’ve liked to learn more about that in this book, but it’ll play a big role in the next one.
There were a few typos, but I enjoyed the authors’ writing style and would love to read more of their work.
4 Stars
LOVED it! This book was a PERFECT example of safe, sane, and consensual, and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series!
The first book in this series. It is the story about Dom and Heidi. I love their relationship and the way Dom takes care of Heidi. It is very light on the BDSM scale, perfect if you want to start reading this genre.
I’ve read a few other books in this series recently, so I decided I should make sure that I go back and reread the pace it got started, just so I could remember where the whole series began.
Heidi has just moved to Boston to grow her consulting business. A few times in the last couple of weeks she’s been in Boston, she’s heard noises coming from her neighbor’s apartment. Sex noises, screams, paddling, all the fun stuff. She tries really hard not to listen to them. She swears that the only reason she’s listening is that she wants to make sure that women are OK. She isn’t shutting her window because it’s too stuffy if the window’s shut. Really. That’s the reason. It’s not because it sounds really hot. Nope.
Dom the Dominant is always trying to find someone who is in it for the kink. He’s not looking for a full-time relationship, let alone a full-time sub. He’s more of a hit it and quit it kind of guy. Then he meets Heidi, and there’s just something about her.
I liked this story. The caring that Dom has for Heidi is really obvious. He’s totally focused on her and what he can do to take care of her and keep her safe. I thought that this was a great intro into the rest of the series, and a good way for us to get into that world.
