A romance author, a cover model, a book signing…a crush. Ordinary women like me know we shouldn’t fall for beautiful men like Travis Zehler, one of the hottest cover models in romance fiction. But, sometimes, we can’t help ourselves. When I meet him at a book signing, my attraction to him is instant. I’m infatuated, and I can’t stop thinking about him. Even though I have doubts he’d ever be … him.
Even though I have doubts he’d ever be interested, I invite Travis to attend a book signing with me. And he says yes.
My fantasy comes true when he takes me to his bed, and the more time we spend together, the more I see that Travis isn’t some object to be desired.
He’s a man with a past. A man who’s been burned. A man who’s learned to keep his guard up.
I want to show him he can trust again, but when our confidence in each other is shaken, I begin to wonder if happily ever afters are only for my romance novels.

I enjoyed this book so much! Sydney is a romance author. She meets Travis who is a cover model at a book convention. And there is an attraction there on both parts, but Travis had broken up with his last relationship and wasn’t ready to get in another one. They don’t talk until five months later when Sydney ask him to attend a convention with her because he is the cover model for her latest book. I loved both Sydney and Travis. And the epilogue was perfect!
Easy and light but did not soar for me
My Cover Model is the first book in the A Love Like That series and this is an easy and light read. The story is about Sydney and Travis and has an interesting and potentially really fun and smexy premise. But there was something that just did not hit the bullseye for me, even though I really wanted it to. I had a hard time getting into the story and some of the writing dragged a bit, with some writing a bit off to me. I have read a couple books by this writing duo and enjoyed them so I was disappointed by this one. There were some funny and enjoyable scenes but it just did not live up to the potential that I think it has in the pages.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own and I know that other readers love this book, which is what makes the world such a great place as we all have our own tastes and opinions.
Now I’m not ordinarily into straight romance, however having read these authors’ paranormal romances and just loving those, thought I would give a straight, vanilla romance a go.
(And so very happy I did, I can tell you!)
Well mills & boon it ain’t & thank goodness for that!
This starts just a little slow about our 30 something author of romance, meeting a 20 something male model at a book signing.
But it’s like being on a fairground ride, there’s ups & downs, like any normal relationship, emotions all over the place, as well as great hot sex that’ll have you gasping!
Sydney & Travis are very real and ordinary, but very likeable & relatable, you’ll be laughing & holding your breath, as well as rooting for them all the way to the end!
I, for one, will definitely be reading a lot more from R L Kenderson, thank you ladies for a lovely story!
I DARE ANYONE TO PUT IT DOWN!!

Nice surprise
4.5
I really enjoyed this romance which is simple, sometimes predictable, but with very moving parts due to the insecurities of the two heroes, the author Sydney and the model for books, Travis.
The story is very well written, but it was especially the ending that moved me. The two characters are very endearing, strong and fragile at the same time. The way the author writes their story touched me a lot, despite the predictability of the story.

Love finds its way!
Sydney and Travis are absolutely delightful characters that really deserve each other. She is a romance author who falls for a super hot cover model. He in turns falls for her after finally getting past her “guard”. Their story isn’t simple due to her self-doubt; however, he is determined to prove to her that his feelings are real. A truly delightful read!
I can’t wait to read the other books in this series.

Sydney Harting is a romance author. She is happy with her life and her looks. She knows the pitfalls of falling in love with a gorgeous man, but when a fellow author introduces her to hot cover model Travis Zehler she finds herself wanting a man she probably can’t have. Travis finds himself interested in, and drawn to his friend’s pretty fellow author. But he is wary of relationships after his last girlfriend changed into someone he didn’t know anymore, and couldn’t even like.
Wonderful well written, and realistic characters that will make you laugh, and may be even cry. Some surprising twists in the plot, hot sex, clever, and funny banter make this a must read.

Sydney is a romance writer and she’s at a book signing when she meets Travis. Travis is a cover model is a little gun shy about relationships because of an ex. When Travis meets Sydney sparks fly between them. Sydney invites him to come to another signing with her and is surprised when he agrees to go. Just as it seems things are going smoothly between them things from Travis’s past have his insecurities coming up and causing problems between them. Can they make it work?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Sydney is an author and meets Travis at a book signing. Not only is he a cover model, he is the hottest man she has ever seen. Travis is as good as they come but with his own baggage. She does not ever think that he would be interested in an average and ordinary woman, but she is wrong. There is a lot that he likes about her but he does not know if he can trust his heart. These two are perfect for each other. There might be a few roadblocks on the path to future happiness but they find it together. I enjoyed their love story

Travis and Sydney’s story is very funny and romantic, I loved the characters and the storyline. It gives a little insight to an authors life of book launches, book signings, deadlines, etc. This is the first book I’ve read from this author duo and I just loved it.

Attraction and romance may start in the eye but in order to go further more has to be going on. And interestingly, vulnerability comes in many variations as well which we get to see in this story of Sydney and Travis. He may be a hottie, but he is still human and he has issues and insecurities to work through just as she does around feeling like she is an ordinary woman aiming too high who does not get a shot at everything with the hottie. I liked that both partners were drawn humanly, that they developed a strong, if sexy friendship and that they are able to get their HEA as they deal with their stuff.

Sydney writes romance stories and is attending a book signing. She meets a very attractive model there, Travis Zehler, and signs him to be on her next book cover. Although Travis is aware that his looks are what first attract others, he is so much more than that. Sydney knows not to expect the handsome man to behave like her book heroes. But it is nice to imagine… yet it is also so very hard to resist!
When the two of them decide there is no harm in a quick fling, living the fantasy, Sydney knew she should listen to those internal alarms. But Travis knows how to keep it light, protecting his heart and taking things no further than what he’s willing to offer now. Will that be enough? Or will it be far more than Sydney was ready to handle? And maybe far more than she wants to give up?
Book Title: My Cover Model

Review:
I loved this book. The whole author meets book cover model and let the sizzle begin. This was a cute story and made me feel like I was reading the life of the author. I know this story is fiction but I loved it. Great book. Looking forward to the others in the series.

Talk about ticking all the boxes! sweet but sexy hero who’s gorgeous and approachable? yes please! tons of steamy scenes but a plot, woohoo!
Such an enjoyable book that left me smiling and happy.
This is book one in the Love Like That series. I really enjoyed this book. This is a new to me author and I’ll definitely be adding more books to my reading list from them. It hot, emotional, well written, funny and witty. Sydney’s best friend Harper and her niece Lexi cracked me up. Sydney and Travis are hot together. The author did a really good job making them feel real with real life problems. Most of us have dealt with insecurities with ourselves or crazy exs. It’s nice when an author makes their characters relatable.
Sydney is a romance author. She’s at a book signing event when she meets Travis. He’s a personal trainer who models for photographs for romance novel covers. He’s with an author friend helping her promote the books he’s on the cover of. Sydney develops a bit of a crash on Travis but decides that he’s way out of her league. He ends up being on the cover other new release and he volunteers to be at her signing events. There’s attraction between the two. Will they find a way to make it work?

What can I say? I loved this book. From start to finish, I was completely sucked in and didn’t want to put it down. The characters were awesome and the story line was fun and different.
I think sometimes we, as readers, don’t always think of the cover models as real people. They’re there on the cover but always seem a bit…unreachable. The story brought to life the person behind the books (both the cover and the insides.)

**Warning be careful when eating and drinking while reading this book.**
Here is another amazingly great fun romance to read. I loved the story line that we have her. We have Travis who is a model/trainer and Sydney who is a regular person. I mean she is an author in this book too. However, Sydney is your average woman. She is not skinny nor fat and she accepts herself for who she is. Her personality alone is off the charts amazing. Travis is sweet and caring, but he has been burned by girlfriends in the past. So Sydney meets Travis at a book signing and she notices that he is a model and a lot of authors have used him on their covers. I mean why not he is hot!! So she uses one of his photographs for her next book and asked him if he would go with her to a signing. This is where the good stuff comes in. I mean I laughed so hard I was crying. I mean even I was embarrassed for Sydney. She just rolls with it. Travis is still skittish but you will see how he slowly makes his plays. Then when we get to the end I was almost in tears. Like really, I was thinking it was going to end a different way. I loved this book and the fact that it was so refreshing and a great laugh. This is a first book that I have read by this author and trust me I will be reading more.

It was one of the best stories I have read
NO ONE IS EVER TOO GOOD FOR YOU
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
Sydney is an author and meets Travis, a model, and is instant infatuation with him, but she doesn’t think she is good enough for him. Travis thinks Sydney is the woman he could fall in love with if he can get past the insecurities his ex-girlfriend instilled in him. With the two of them and their doubts, it seems as if they will never get together. I like the way the authors portrayed the characters’ hang-ups and the build up to their relationship. The solution to the problem was very gratifying.
I love Sydney and Travis’ story in R.L. Kenderson’s Object of My Desire. Not because of the hot steam between the two (though that’s definitely a plus) but because of the layered characters that each is. These two really are beautifully crafted and watching them get past their issues and develop their relationship is a total pleasure. Really great writing her. Tons of fun to read. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
