My Charming Billionaire is the well-crafted second book of The Grimwood Legacy Series. An enjoyable adaptation of the classic fairy tale Snow White with seven modern day dwarfs with a theme of “You only have today.”
My Charming Billionaire was a really enjoyable story! It is the second in a series and will be most enjoyed by reading all of the books in order, in my opinion. The two main characters, Jeremy and Melody, were likable and I was happy when then began to realize that their feelings of friendship had grown into love for both of them. Melody was decidedly stubborn and both characters had to find their way back to a relationship with God, which helped them both to get their priorities straight. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series. I read this book through the Kindle Unlimited program.
I really loved My Charming Billionaire – (The Grimwood Legacy Series Book 2) by Jackie Castle! Jeremy Grimwood is the youngest of the Grimwood siblings with a talent with numbers and followed his father in finance. Melody the owner of the ski resort where the Grimwood ‘s would vacation is financial in trouble and Jeremy wants to help Melody out. He had a crush on her since he was younger. This is a great set up for a beautiful love story with an evil aunt who wants the resort. Throughly enjoyed this love story and highly recommend reading it. I received an arc copy of this book for an honest review of it.
I had high hopes for this one after the success of the previous book in the series for me, but in the end, it wound up falling a little flat for me.
I had a hard time believing the relationship between Melody and Jeremy. Their shared past wasn’t developed enough for me to do so. I also had a hard time believing in Melody at all. Granted, she was a very kind and caring individual, but I honestly couldn’t believe that she had that little business sense, even after majoring in it during college! I did like how Jeremy grew to understand that he hated being at the firm and what direction he wanted his life to take. I especially loved watching his return to faith! For me, that was the best part of this story!
I’m eager to see how Colt and Suzette fare in upcoming books, so I haven’t written this off just yet!
Jackie Castle has done it again.
I loved this book.
The story was so intriguing with humor, family troubles, romance and intrigue.
The characters were so likeable that I almost felt like their friend.
I was pleased that both main characters compromised to make this a HEA.
Can Jeremy, Charming Prince, help Melody’s dream to save her ski resort or will Melody’s solve all her problems all by herself? With God and their friends and family’s help Jeremy and Melody’s will figure it out and have a future together.
Jeremy Grimwood the youngest of his family is a hardworking, and mild mannered. When a friend Melody needs help to keep her resort afloat he steps in to help her find investors. He is happy because he has loved her a long time. But trying to keep the wolves at bay, such as his Uncle trying to oust him from the family firm and Melody’s aunt trying to bully her into selling to her. After a suspicious accident Jeremy tells Melody he loves her. She doesn’t have a chance to let him know how she feels. Both of them start to place their trust in God and he starts to bring things together even though it isn’t easy. When Melody tells Jeremy she loves him, they both realize some things are more important than they seem and that God will lead them in the right decisions.
I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
The second book in The Grimwood Legacy Series they are just getting better with each book I was not putting this down until I had finished reading so a very late/early morning read. Jeremy Grimwood and Melody Carson will have to go through a lot before they get their happy ending. An Aunt that will do anything to get the Sky High ski resort, but I am happy with what she had happen to her. I want to read the next book. I recommend this book.
My Charming Billionaire is a fun, well-written romance loosely based on a fairy tale. For those that love fairy tales, you’ll enjoy finding the similarities. For those that don’t, you’ll enjoy a clean, contemporary romance. Melody Carson and Jeremy Grimwood are both very likable characters. Melody is thoughtful to others and doesn’t want to take financial help, but Jeremy wants to do what he can to aid her. There’s not a much more romantic setting than a ski resort in winter. The closeness of the Grimwood family siblings and Melody’s care of her aunt and employees add depth to the book as well as to the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed My Charming Billionaire and am looking forward to the next one in the series. I recommend this to readers of clean, wholesome romance and to readers of Christian romance. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.
My Charming Billionaire is the story of the youngest Grimwood sibling. I loved the first book in this series, but you do not have to have read it in order to read this one. I enjoyed this book as much if not more. Jeremy and Melody have a lot of chemistry – even if she tries to deny it. The characters are so well written that it is a joy to read this book. Melody is in danger of losing the resort. Her aunt Evelina (Aunt Evil) and Jeremy’s uncle Thomas make great villains in this story. There are many plot twists. I highly recommend this book I stayed up way too late reading because I could not put it down!
Loved the setting and so appropriate for the Snow White retelling – IMO. Jeremy has crushed on Melody for years but she had eyes for his brother. I thought that would keep me from liking this story but hers was really just admiration. Melody is very independent and didn’t want to accept any help from anybody – UGH – I wanted to shout and did “let Jeremy and his family help you!!!” Loved the slow build up of their relationship and them getting to know each other again. Their faith in the Lord played a big part in this book and it fit so well with the storyline. There was an evil stepmother character (but not her stepmother) and she was handled quite well by the fairy godmother – Auntie. A really great read. Looking forward to book 3.
My Charming Billionaire, book two
Jackie Castle
There is always a freshness in Jackie’s books.
Jeremy and Melody grew up together and Jeremy always had a crush on her. Their family status are different but there is a sweetness with both of these characters. Mel cares about the people who work for her at the lodge, Jeremy works at the bank, basically to get his Fathers approval; which he felt he never received.
Closing your hands in fear never allows one to spread their wings and fly.
Well written book! Looking forward to book three!
