Mabel “Maybe” Willis died a virgin at the very young age of twenty-four.She leaves behind her parents, Betty and Bruce, her brother, Evan, a laptop filled with one too many Jason Momoa memes, and a Kindle library with more books than one human being could ever finish in a lifetime.Cause of death: a text message.Okay. So, I didn’t die.But I may as well have. One minute, I’m a woman trying to find … have.
One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone. Whatever.
We’re talking code red, send a flipping mayday, the apocalypse is coming kind of texts.
And I didn’t just send them to some random person I’ll never see again.
No. That would be too easy.
I sent them to Milo Ives.
The man who played a starring role in all of my teenage fantasies—and my brother’s lifelong best friend.
And, boy oh boy, has he grown up.
He’s hard-bodied, blue-eyed, jawline-of-stone handsome, crazy successful, and has more money in his bank account than my brain can fathom.
Deflower me, please? I said.
Yeah. Send help.

It’s only been my second read by these authors but I’m definitely enjoying their books! Every single time you just can’t help but not only laugh out loud but to fall in love with the characters when reading the story. Can’t wait to see what’s next in store!
Mabel aka Maybe has had a crush on Milo ever since she was a young girl but it never went anything further since he was her brother’s best friend growing up. Now years later and having graduated, she’s struggling to find a job and returns home to work with her parents for the time being. When Milo comes back into her life, she doesn’t know what to do with herself but he doesn’t even seem to recognize her. But when an unexpected event happens, it’ll change everything between them. Even though Milo can’t get past the fact that she’s his best friend’s little sister, there’s a growing attraction between them that he can’t seem to deny but there’s just something that holds him back. Will Maybe be able to get his guard down? And will he finally see what is in front of him?…
Mabel (Maybe) Willis is a 24 year old, Stanford Grad, virgin, who has moved back to NY to look for a job in publishing. Milo, is the 30 year old billionaire best friend of Maybe’s brother, Evan. Evan reaches out to Milo to ask for his help in giving Maybe a foot in the door of NY publishing houses. In his head he sees Maybe as a lanky awkward girl with brown hair. In reality, Maybe is a beautiful, curvy, brunette that sends un-brotherly thoughts to his brain, among other places! When Maybe accidentally sends a text with very specific instructions as to what she would like Milo to do to her, she wants to curl up and hide – forever. This book is laugh out loud funny, with quick, witty, strong and sassy characters and is an absolute joy to read.
So the Heroine of the story is named Maybe…that’s just the beginning. To give you an idea, if you’ve read other stories from Max Monroe, you know the fun they have with names. So Maybe starting out should give you a heads up that things haven’t changed.
Maybe Willis has crushed on Milo, her brother’s best friend, since childhood. Forget the whole, he’s a billionaire and one of the most eligible bachelors, la la la,..he was just Milo.
Now he is MILO and Maybe needs a whole lot more attention from this man than what he’s willing to give his best friends little sister! Hilarious from the beginning,( sexting under anesthesia) ,being inside both of the characters heads and learning how they are going to approach this new arena of their relationship, make sure you have the time to read this straight through. Also clear the kids from the room, because they will think you’ve lost your mind.
LOL, ROTFL and LMAO! Max Monroe never disappoints when it comes to light and totally swoon-worthy stories! And add to that their signature snarky sense of humor and you’re set for a great read. My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is funny, flirtatious and steamy story that will make you burst out laughing!
Mabel Willis aka Maybe is fresh out of college. Her dream is to get a job in a publishing house, but right now she works in her father’s flower shop. That’s where she bumps into her crush from her teenage years- Milo Ivers- who’s also her brother’s best friend. Being in the same city and the fact that this successful billionaire has connections results in Milo trying to help Maybe to land the job interview. But aside from the job, Milo can help Maybe with her other issue, because she doesn’t know first thing about dating scene. She’s very much single and… virgin.
Dear Lord, this book made my stomach ache from laughing so much. I loved Maybe and her cuteness. She’s a smart young woman, but also adorably awkward and quirky. Mixed with her innocence and the drive to end her dry spell and seduce Milo made her extremely loveable character.
Milo swept me off my feet completely! Yes, he’s a successful buissnessman with the fat bank account, but he’s also down to earth. He’s totally swoony and charming and so different from arrogant and self-righteous millionaires from other books.
With the off-the-charts chemistry and incredible attraction, these two didn’t stand a chance with the power of feelings.
This story was entertaining and alluring. Max Monroe created their own brand which is famous for its intelligent humour and wise cracks. This duet should write the scripts for a tv shows, seriously. Everything in this story was amazing- from characters and storyline up to the writing style. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
My brothers billionaire best friend. Max Monroe outdid them self, with this swoony romcom book. I laughed so hard, and got carried away. The billionaire series to Max Monroe has been one of my favorites, but THIS book, and Milo is our new book boyfriend( sorry Thatch) this is a MUST READ!!! I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Max Monroe you are fluffing amazing
If you are looking for a fun, quick, hilarious read that will have you laughing out loud one minute, and swooning into a puddle the next, then this is the one for you. I am a huge Max Monroe fan and My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is the perfect example of why I love them.
Maybe is exactly the kind of character I love. She is fun, quirky, awkward and absolutely hilarious. Her inner monologues and creative cursing had me laughing out loud and wanting to be her best friend.
Milo is sweet caring and all the swoon! I fell fast and hard for him.
I couldn’t put this one down. I highly recommend one-clicking this one!
I have a confession! I did the unthinkable! I ignored all the warnings going into this book! I couldn’t help it I just couldn’t put it down!
I choked on my dinner!
My husband thought I was actually having a panic attack at one point.
And those little ladies in my local cafe will never ever look at me the same way again, I swear those old lady superpowers meant they knew exactly what I was reading!
Ok as you can gather this book blew my mind, not only was I laughing so loud I drew all sorts of attention but I actually cried as well. The emotions these ladies bring to life time and time again always leave a permanent scar on my little battered heart! The talent these two posses to craft and weave such epically written tales of perfection really does make me want to bow down, every page just brought that home right till the very end!
Not only will you fall so hard for Milo but I totally fell for Maybe to, with a name like that and such a quirky personality I instantly wanted to adopt her as my bbf she was the light in the room wherever she went and didn’t even realise it!
All in all if you don’t read this book your going to miss out on a hilariously flirty read that will last long beyond the pages of the story. The little usually meaningless parts we find in books don’t exists in the book every word is perfectly placed for the ultimate read that will have you wanting to instantly tune back to page 1 to start all over again!
Absolutely fantastic!!! Milo and Maybe’s banter is laugh out loud funny and sizzling hot! Their chemistry, in this friends to lovers/brother’s best friend storyline, is a slow burn but once it’s lit, kaboom! You will not be able to put this book down. Definitely heed the warnings about reading in public and/or while eating/drinking. I highly recommend this sexy romcom.
Just what I need the “Introduction” already had me laughing so hard tears are misting up my already blurry eyesight. Is there no mercy with these authors? They take everyday life and push it to a whole other dimension that leaves you grabbing your sides and making it difficult to breathe from grasping for air from the laughter you will enjoy.
Let me tell you this story just continued to get better. I’m not sure how these authors do it but they continue to outshine themselves with each book. It’s amazing. I always think well this is the best and they release another book and it’s just as good as all the others if not better.
I read this book in one sitting. The time flies by.
Yes it’s a romcom. The authors have developed a language all their own with these characters. It’s hysterical. The texts will have you laughing your butt off. The “meet cute” is charming.
I don’t do spoilers for two reasons, one; its not fair to the author, two; you deserve to get to read this story all for yourself. Be entertained by the anticipation of it all. You should get to meet this whole family and their friends and just get comfy in the lives of these characters. Trust me you will get comfy. It’s so easy to get caught up in their lives like you really know them. One of my favorite things is we get to become reacquainted with one of my favorite characters from books past. Plus Maybe’s dad could be anyone’s dad.
Maybe is such a breath of fresh air. She’s beautiful, a little naive, quirky, insecure and so damn adorable.
Milo, let’s just say he’s the total package and then some.
They both have their issues. Seriously, who doesn’t? They have off the charts friends.
You will definitely get all the feels, and smiles. You will be rooting for them. This book just gives you such good vibes. It has an aura to it that you’ll want to keep reliving.
OMG! Maybe and Milo’s story is so hilarious, sexy, and romantic! Their story is beautifully written. This is an amazing Romantic Comedy. I loved it, and I highly recommend it. Now, I can’t wait for the audiobook version. I love Max Monroe writing, and this book is one of my favorites!
I laughed, I swooned, I fanned myself! Highly entertaining, fun read!
Maybe’s been crushing on her older brother’s best friend, Milo, since she was 11. Fast forward 13 years and Maybe is back in NY, working at her family’s flower shop, while trying to land a job at a publishing house after getting her masters at Stanford. At a time when she should be living her best life, she isn’t. No job, no friends, living in her brother’s old bachelor pad apartment, and working with Bruce and Betty (her parents) every day. When Milo walks into the shop one day she’s so flustered she can barely talk…and then she realizes he doesn’t even recognize her!
Milo has been thinking about the girl at the flower shop for a while now, to the point where he’s contemplating going back in there to see her again. When he gets a call from his best friend and business partner, Evan, asking him to use his connections to help get his little sister an interview with a publishing house. He hasn’t seen Maybe in ages, but adored the little awkward girl he remembers. When he asks Evan where she’s been working and Evan tells him the flower shop he starts to put it all together…Maybe is the knockout from the shop and she’s no longer a little girl.
Maybe has this adorable sweetness and innocence about her that really works. Combine that with her hilarious inner dialogue and I adored her character. Milo is your typical sexy billionaire businessman, except he’s never lost his roots and that has kept him humble and laidback. He’s so smitten with Maybe he can hardly think, but it’s wrong because of his connection with Evan, her brother. I loved their banter and texting and the sexy times were smoking! I know Caplin in on deck to get the next book but I’m really hoping Lena gets a book out of all this as well as she was a fabulous side character!

Woohoo, a new Max Monroe is here!
I mean, any book that has a chance of having a bit of Thatch time (I know, I know it is not all about him) is a great start to the day.
Milo and Maybe’s story didn’t start out great for me (and this is more to do with me and my state of mind than the book) and the first 20% I was not enthralled with, however after that I couldn’t wait to turn each page.
It was cute and adorable watching as Milo struggled with his feelings for his best friend’s little sister, and was fun following along as this pair fall for each other. The text messages are funny and made me laugh out loud at times.
I caught a few Fifty Shades / Ana and Christian vibes in this story too – don’t know if anyone else will but there were a couple of things throughout.
It was great to see more of Trent and Greer, and Emory and Quincy from the first book. And oooh myyyy goodness Cap was hilarious (especially at times with my man Thatch). We will be getting Cap’s story soon, and man I can not wait to be taken on the ride when he finally finds the woman who brings him to his knees – figuratively and literally!
Hurry up September!
Maybe and Milo are the new #couplegoals!
Oh my goodness, I snorted, cringed, and smiled my way through My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend! Max Monroe are known for being hilarious, and they have outdone themselves with this one. Maybe is awkward, funny, and a touch naive, she could definitely be my best friend. She finds herself working in her parent’s florist shop while trying to get her door in publishing, and comes across none other than her grade school crush Milo. Who happens to be her older brother’s best friend- hence the title. These two begin a cringeworthy friendship over mostly texts, and I loved every minute of those by the way. These two start developing real feelings for each other, but will outside forces get in the way? I loved every side-splitting laugh I had, every genuine smile, and every cringe-worthy moment that Maybe experienced. Max Monroe has done it again, and you don’t want to miss it!
The duo of Max Monroe have done it again!!! My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend was laugh out loud hysterical!! I most likely looked like a fool sitting in my car laughing my a$$ off. I absolutely loved Maybe Willis. She’s freshly out of Stanford’s master program and living back in NY. She’s quirky, awkward but sassy and she’s a virgin. Enter Milo Ives, her first crush and her brothers best friend. They haven’t seen each other in 10 years and let’s just say, the first time they saw each other did not go as Maybe would have hoped. But a friendship is formed and it was a hoot watching it develop. On top of the hilarity that is the main characters, you have all of the secondary characters that add to it. Her parents are a trip, especially her dad Bruce with his Bruce-isms and for all the Thatcher Kelly fans…..the sexy, hysterical giant makes a couple of appearances. I highly recommend this book!!

I will admit, that the first 10-15% of this book had me thinking I was going to dislike it, and get really frustrated with the characters. Plus I really am not a fan of weirdly name characters in books (Maybe? I know its a nickname, but it still annoyed me haha). But once I pushed through that, and got to the real start of the story, where things begin to get more meaty, I found myself really enjoying it.
Milo and Maybe are pretty cool characters, and I found myself enjoying the banter between them and also their friends. Can you say “Hiiiiii Thatch!” and Cap is back too! And Maybe befriends a funky girl named Lena. With both our main characters having really quirky besties, it makes from some quite hilarious scenes.
Now, best friends little sister/brothers best friend books are one of my fave tropes in the romance genre, and I liked the way that this one is done. Milo is a stand-up guy. He’s got his life together, and he’s actually a decent person. I liked the connection he had with Maybe (especially after that first awkward meeting), and I enjoyed his internal thoughts.
Maybe is a bit of rambling and nervous kind of girl, but she also shows some straight up determination which is a great mix, and works well for her character.
I loved our scenes with their friends, the banter in those parts was hilarious, and I CANNOT WAIT for Cap’s book. Hoooo-eee! That’s gonna be a fun one, me-thinks!
Once I got into it, this was a really fun and easy to read book, that I found myself wanting to pick back up each time I had to put it down. I really looked forward to seeing how it would play out.
Would recommend.
My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend was a great read. I loved it. I loved Milo and Maybe. They had great chemistry and were just perfect together. I loved loved them! Bruce was hilarious!! Looking forward to reading Cap’s book!
Are you ready to laugh and swoon? Max Monroe always deliver with their clever banter but they really bring the swoon with Milo. I love Milo and Maybe, she is adorbs! Gotta say Cap could be Thatch’s twin, look forward to his book. Also, Lena needs a book, she totally rocks. Seriously this entire serious is a laugh out loud must read series!
This book is exactly what you expect from Max Monroe, amazing!!! I love the connection that you can feel between Maybe and Milo. They also have some literal laugh out loud banter! Maybe has such a unique personality, which I’m sure she got from her parents, who are hilarious too!!! This is a book that nobody should pass up!! It is funny yet we still get the feels. You do not have to read the first book in the series to read this book, but some characters reappear in this book.
Once again I was sitting and laughing my ass off while reading Max Monroe book. Good God did these two made my heart full.
Everything about this story was amazing. From the very name that the main female character has – I mean come on Maybe- to the way they fell madly in love. But now can we take a moment and discuss the man that is called Milo; can we all say SWOON? That man was funny, brilliant and that club scene? OMG that was !!!
Every single moment that led them to being together was perfect. Even the night when everything (sorta) felt apart. But as every other M.M. book we get to see how love prevails every misunderstanding and we get to see the MC’s ride into the sunset.

Perfection Max and Monroe. I knew from the first sentence that I was going to love this book and I was so right. I haven’t laughed this hard since my beloved Bad Boy Billionaire series. By the way it was a great cameo by the ever entertaining Thatcher Kelly The characters are rich and full of chocolatey goodness. Maybe gives my heart joy. The dentist office scene had me laughing so hard I almost peed on myself. I have not enjoyed a book so throughly as I did this one in a long time. Thanks Max and Monroe. Until next time y’all happy reading.
