Mabel “Maybe” Willis died a virgin at the very young age of twenty-four.She leaves behind her parents, Betty and Bruce, her brother, Evan, a laptop filled with one too many Jason Momoa memes, and a Kindle library with more books than one human being could ever finish in a lifetime.Cause of death: a text message.Okay. So, I didn’t die.But I may as well have. One minute, I’m a woman trying to find … have.
One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone. Whatever.
We’re talking code red, send a flipping mayday, the apocalypse is coming kind of texts.
And I didn’t just send them to some random person I’ll never see again.
No. That would be too easy.
I sent them to Milo Ives.
The man who played a starring role in all of my teenage fantasies—and my brother’s lifelong best friend.
And, boy oh boy, has he grown up.
He’s hard-bodied, blue-eyed, jawline-of-stone handsome, crazy successful, and has more money in his bank account than my brain can fathom.
Deflower me, please? I said.
Yeah. Send help.

My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is so hilarious, but so swoony perfect! The back and forth banter between Maybe and Milo is laugh out loud funny. Maybe is so endearing in her awkwardness, but yet she still has this confidence about her. And what can I say about Milo!?! He is EVERYTHING! I love how Milo and Maybe’s relationship started off as being friends and how at ease they are with one another.
I can’t not mention the side characters. This book would be nothing without this cast of characters. Their antics had me in stitches. I’ve come to find that in Max Monroe books. They really know how to write characters that you want to see more of (i.e. – Thatch).
I highly recommend this quick, sweet, entertaining book!
What happens when you send a text to someone you didn’t mean to??
Maybe Willis is all grown up newly graduated from Stanford with her Masters and moved back home working in her parents flower shop until she can get a job.
Milo Ives her brothers best friend and long time crush walks in and wow he looks better than she remembered.
Will she finally have a chance with this sexy man she’s been dreaming of forever?
Milo Ives Fuse Tech owner and Billionaire is so focused on work he doesn’t have time to date. With his long time best fiends wedding coming up he starts to question if it’s time to settle down.
When he runs into Maybe Willis after years he sees a beautiful goddess not a little kid. He can’t seem to stay away. One problem it’s his best friends little and off limits sister.
I love Maybe she’s awkward and wants to get a job in her field so bad. She is working for her family until then and her dad is crazy also weirdly funny with his non swear words.
She k it’s what she wants and stops at nothing to achieve her goals. She is one of the main characters that is relatable because she’s so down to earth.
Milo is super sweet to he wants her so bad but he also wants to keep his friendship and can’t seem to figure out how to do that.
Of course Thatch being in the book is a bonus because hello it’s Thatch he’s literally my favorite character of Max Monroe.
This book has all the feels super funny sweet and a little bit of angst. They have you wanting more. I really like the new billionaires.
Maybe Willis had a huge crush on her brother’s best friend when she was growing up. When Milo comes into her parent’s flower shop and has no clue who she is, her pride takes a hit. Even though it had been years since they saw each other, she thought surely he would have recognized her. Once Maybe saw Milo again, he is all she can think about, its like her teenage years all over again. After a bit of a texting mishap, and a call from Maybe’s brother asking Milo to help her open a few doors and score some interviews. Milo stops by the shop and is surprised that the girl from the other day, the one he can’t stop thinking about is none other than Evan’s little sister, Maybe. Now Milo has to navigate a minefield of sorts, as he knows she is off limits, but he wants her, and Maybe doesn’t make it easy with her requests for help in certain areas. Will Milo be able to maintain the proper distance from the off limits Maybe? Or will he take a chance and risk losing his best friend?
This was my first read by Max Monroe, and I did enjoy it for the most part. It drove me crazy when Maybe referred to her parents by their first name, this is written in first person so it should have just been regular Mom & Dad. There were a lot of characters, and I felt like I probably should have known who they were, not sure if they were from previous books or not, that’s just the feeling that I got. I was disappointed in the naughty bits, while super steamy, I expected a bit more. All in all this did turn out to be a very entertaining read despite the issues I had getting past the first few chapters (again the Bruce and Betty thing). I give this 4 stars.
Max Monroe has FLUFFING out done themselves. I wish I could scream from the mountain tops about how Wonderful and amazing this Story is. It’s one of my Favourite Series by this fantastic Duo.
This is Milo’s and Maybe’s story yes but its so much more. This is pure entertainment on Pages. This book is addictive, it has everything that is good, light and Fluffy. Swoony and with some of most awesome dialogue I have read in a while. The Banter between not only the main characters but also the Side characters is fucking Hilarious.
Milo and Maybe know each other since Maybe was 11. She has had the biggest crush on him since then. Being an adult that just amplifies. Watching her persue and get what she wants was exhilarating and endearing. Endearing because Milo handles her with such care and respect. Watching them come together was fucking funny and I giggled like a school girl at almost every page.
If anyone knows me they know I love my Hot sexy time. But with these two their Chemistry was enough to carry me right to the epilogue. And OMFG they were on fire the whole book. Watching them Ignite was perfection.
Grab this book now ladies. You won’t be sorry.
Enjoy!!!
Omg!! How well one text after dental surgery can go so terribly wrong…or right…
Max Monroe has written another hilarious, shenanigan filled romance that will have you never wanting the book to end. Maybe and Milo’s story was one that I immediately fell in love with. They have know each other forever and she wanted him just as long but he didn’t even realize that she existed until now. Now he is fighting to stay loyal to his best friend, her brother, and she is fighting for an HEA. Who will win the battle of wills?
If Rom-com is your thing, then this is your next must read. You will not be disappointed!!
Milo Ives is the guy Mabel “Maybe” Willis has had a crush on since she was a tween. Milo, being her brother Evan’s best friend, was always been part of her life. But now Maybe’s back in town after getting her degree, working in the family flower shop, while trying to find a publishing job in the City.
Milo has done very well for himself. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he is a self-made Billionaire. He hasn’t forgotten the Willis Family, who took him in during his senior year of high school. His lifelong best friend, Evan, even heads up his Texas division. Milo still stops in to the family’s flower shop to order his mom flowers, which is where he meets the new counter girl. Maybe is stunned to see Milo and couldn’t string a coherent sentence together to save her life. What’s even worse is that Milo has no idea who she is.
Then a number of things happen… Maybe makes a new friend, Lena, at the coffee shop around the corner, who makes herself Maybe’s wing woman and best (only) friend. Evan asks Milo to help out Maybe with his contacts in publishing. Drunk Maybe sends a bunch of hilarious text messages to Milo, after stealing his cell number from the flower shop’s database, that end with her asking him to relieve her of her virginity. Oh jeez, did that really happen? It sure did!
Other things to add, but not to spoil the book… Maybe’s Gilmore Girl addiction, the real bro-code between Milo and Evan that Milo’s trying really hard to stick to, but losing the battle, quotes like “death by Groupon surgery”, the “vocational charisma of a sloth”, and let’s not forget “I duck like I was born to {^<$%>& quack”. And just you wait until you get to Chapter 32. I can’t explain, you just have to read it for yourself.
The sizzling chemistry between Maybe and Milo just jumps from the pages, as well as their quick banter that made me laugh out loud way too many times to count. I can’t say enough good things about this book. I want to read it again like it’s my first time.
My stomach hurts from laughing so hard. From the first page I knew I was in for a real treat and I wasn’t let down at all. This is the rom-com that I’ve come to love and expect from Max Monroe. It was hilarious, sexy, witty, swoony and full of heart.
Goodness me was Maybe adorable. And sweetly naïve. That naivety lead to more than one laugh out loud moment. She was a young woman with big dreams, she just didn’t know how to make them happen. She needed a foot in the door and when that opportunity presented itself in the form of her childhood crush, things really took off. Oh my Milo. Handsome, successful and completely unaware of the effect he had on Maybe. But he was more than aware of how she made him feel.
Max Monroe delivered a one-two knockout of humor and heart. Milo and Maybe were the perfect balance of innocence and experience that only fueled their attraction and affection. ‘Holy friend potatoes’ I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard reading a book. With a touch of the forbidden, a few Thatch appearances, a major misunderstanding, dad jokes galore, in your face best friends, and a trip to St. Luke’s, My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend an absolute delight to read.
3.75-4 stars. This was a good book. My Billionaire Brother’s Best Friend (that’s a mouthful) is Milo and Mabel/Maybe’s story. Milo is best friends with Maybe’s older brother. They grew up together and are very close. Maybe is 6 years younger and always crushed on Milo, but hasn’t seen him in over ten years. She just graduated from college, getting her master’s degree, and moved back to NYC, looking for a job in publishing. She is working in her parent’s flower shop when Milo comes in to order his mom a birthday bouquet. Milo flirts with her, but doesn’t recognize her as Maybe. Later, she goes to have her wisdom teeth out and under anesthesia she texts him and asks him to take her virginity. Meanwhile, her brother calls Milo and asks him to get Maybe in touch with some of his publishing contacts. Maybe is mortified at her text faux paux , but she and Milo become friends. As they spend more and more time together they fall for each other.
I really enjoyed this cute story. I liked Milo and Maybe. They were sweet and funny together. I liked their chemistry, banter and fun text messages. I found them to be a really good couple who really loved each other. Milo, especially, was smitten with Maybe and it was very sweet. They only had eyes for each other. I liked this book more than book one in this series. It wasn’t trying too hard to be funny, like that book felt. Still, I felt like I needed more at the end. I wanted more resolution and to see the couple together and happy sooner. There’s no sex until 99%. Otherwise, I thought this was a good read and had no real issues with it.
Overall, this was a fun, entertaining read. I enjoyed Milo and Maybe’s journey to love. I am looking forward to more from this series and from Max Monroe in the future!
Another phenomenal read that will have too laughing your ass off. Maybe and Milo are absolutely perfect together. Also I fluffing love seeing Thatch and Cassie in this book. Once you start reading, you won’t want to stop. Another 5 Star read that everyone must one click.
Max Monroe are an amazing duo and they not only bring the sexy with this book, they also bring the funny!!! I am on a huge book hangover after this story. You get the quirky and the best chemistry two characters can bring! I laughed and swooned so hard. The characters are easily put together and make you wish you can meet them in real life. I needed to be a by stander with this story lol. Great read for anyone who needs some spice and laughter rolled into one.
This was my first Max Monroe book and I am totally kicking myself for not reading them sooner. When the opportunity to read this story early was presented I immediately jumped at the chance. This is a fun story that will give you all the feels. Loved it!!! Now I want all the words of this duo!! Absolutely a must read!
This is one of my top reads of 2019. I could not put it down. I loved every minute of it! My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend was amazing!!! This book reminds me of why I love reading romance novels. There were so many laugh out loud moments, but there were also beautiful & touching moments. I was cracking up at the “Brucisms” (you’ll have to read to understand.)
Milo is totally swoonworthy! He is sweet, sexy, humble, and endearing. One of my favorite lines from him is, “God’s not here right now sweetheart. This is all Milo.” Omg! Can we say hot? Mabel aka Maybe is hilarious, smartass, and adorably naive. She knows what she wants and, with the help of her new best friend, she goes after it. I loved her. I also loved seeing characters from previous Billionaire books by Max Monroe. Honestly, I loved all of the characters. They are unique in their own way & contribute so much to the story.
Max Monroe have become my favorite rom com authors! They are an uber talented writing duo (not only in rom coms). I love their writing style. Their stories are original, and leave me wanting more. Congrats on writing another hit Max Monroe! This is rom com royalty & will stick with me for some time to come. I can’t wait to read the next book!!!
****ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.”
What a sensational romantic comedy this book is with its quirky sense of humour, fun banter and hilarious scenes.
OMG talk about laugh until you nearly wet yourself! I mean how could anyone not rip out with laughter, even though this was the second time around in the story, with this little gem?
“Harry Potter in a handbasket, I asked to…to ride his pool noodle?”
The descriptions and expressions used are exceptionally clear and so unique in their delivery, I enjoyed this aspect so much. For example…”And what if my dumb heart screws things up? She’s never really been the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to love.”
Milo Ives and Mabel aka Maybe Willis are the two lead characters and both are instantly both easy to like and relate to in many ways. Another great character, who hopefully gets her own book one day, is Lena. She is such a loveable, caring hippie.
I thoroughly enjoyed this very entertaining story, so much so I gifted it to a friend as well.
Swooooon!! This book makes my heart so happy. I loved everything about it! Max Monroe deliver with the sweetest, funniest, most adorable read. It left me with the giddiest smile on my face.
I don’t think I could love this couple any more than I do right this second. Milo and Maybe are so dang cute together. I couldn’t get enough of their flirty texts and their smart banter. Maybe’s sass and awkwardness is everything. She’s so adorably funny. And Milo. *dreamy sigh*. I think he may have taken Quinn Bailey’s spot as Max Monroe’s swooniest hero to date. There was seriously nothing about him that I was not attracted to. Gah! I love him so much. These two had the best chemistry.
I love, love, love this book. This new batch of billionaires are really holding up against the OGs. I can’t wait to read Cap’s story next. But first, everyone needs to pick this sweet read immediately.
THIS AUTHORS NEVER DISAPPONT !!!!!!!! I’ve been stalking girls for so many years and with every rom com, from them I love MAX MONROE more and more. When I think about this kind of books I have always Max Monroe on my mind ! All their stories are just CRAZYYYY but in this good way. Seeing Max Monroe on book’s cover You can be sure – big laughing party WELCOME BACK – and as always… I’ve just missed You.
Gahhh I still cant focus on my writting right now, because when I’m reminding myself all hiliarous moments in this book I just want only to laugh…
Maybel aka Maybe and Milo aka her brother’s best friend, teenage crush ARE amazing. They suck me in their story compeletely, not from first paiges, or even first chapter… I was b*lls deep in My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend after reading just few words… Maybe and Milo are impossibly together, this character are for sure created in very, very good way. They are hot for each other..they are crazy for each other… they are fighting with/for each other… Just as I said in the begining…. They are perfect match, even if they are different, because of many reasons.
If someone looking for sexy bilionaire, with pure crazyness in the background… and seriously sassy heriones, who might have some sweet secrets…. well My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is like absolutely must read !!!!
Maybe is certain she’s died of embarrassment when she realizes that while hopped up on anesthesia, she accidentally sent her brother’s hot best friend a text asking him to uh, deflower her. Yep. YEP…
Now that Maybe’s gotten her Master’s from Stanford and is back home in New York, suddenly Milo’s noticing her curves and her beautiful face AND how sweet and funny she is.
“Maybe Willis isn’t a girl anymore. No. She’s all woman.”
But, she’s off-limits. Ev asked him to help her get a job at a publishing house, not help himself into her bed. He can’t possibly help her out with her text, can he?
I adored Milo and Maybe! Max Monroe are probably the best rom-com writing duo I’ve ever come across, and Milo and Maybe’s story is the perfect example of just what makes them so great. It’s hilariously funny, it’s sweet, and its two leads are absolutely fire together. Brother’s best friend romances are one of my favorite tropes, and MBBBF is one of my favorite of not just Max Monroe’s, but of this entire trope. I highly suggest you download your copy today!

I am loving these fantastic characters!
Milo is impossible to resist from the moment he graces the pages. Yes, he’s flawed but what perfect book boyfriend isn’t? He might be rich, successful, and absorbed in his work, but he’s a kind, genuine guy who is always willing to lend a helping hand and bend over backwards to help his friends. And he’s definitely not one of those broody billionaires, either. He’s fun, flirty, sometimes awkward, and oozes both sex appeal and charisma. He’s quite a catch.
Maybe is a riot. Her educational degrees are probably the only mature thing about her, and that’s not a bad thing. She’s so much fun. She’s sarcastic, unbelievably awkward, quirky, and makes no apologies for her craziness. And I LOVE that about her. She can be a professional but doesn’t have to be boring. She can sometimes be all over the place, and I think she’s perfect.
From quirky parents to crazy friends, this book will have you rolling with laughter, all while tugging at your heartstrings. Slow-burning chemistry, hilarious text exchanges, and plenty of heat pack this second book of Max Monroe’s new billionaire series. Add in cameos of some of your past favorites (of which I STILL haven’t read even though their box set is sitting on my kindle) and I consider this a must-read book!
This was so much fun! I enjoyed the heck outta it. Oh, and the creative cursing. It gets me every single time. I highlighted the crap out of the cursing, it was all so funny. Omg and Maybe’s dad (Bruce Willis *snort*), freaking hilarious. Milo was great and everything, but Maybe and good ole Bruce made this whole book for me. Some past characters made an appearance which was awesome. Now I can’t wait for Cap’s turn. I bet his book is going to be so entertaining!
My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is the next best thing to Kevin Hart’s stand-up comedies. I seriously have not laughed this much in such a long time. I am not kidding when I say, this is the funniest book I have ever read. The references used were hysterical, the best of the best. Like, ” I pull a Nike, and Just Do It.” In fact, this is the best book Max Monroe has ever wrote. From the friendships and trash talk to the familiarity between one another. Each character was an original with such authenticity that you don’t usually see. It was nice to see everyone so comfortable in their skin, and not be afraid of who they are. Milo and Maybe’s story is an unforgettable, un-put a down-able one of kind read. The development of the story was done in the finest of ways, and the growth that each character showcased, surpassed any and all expectations that I originally had. My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is seriously the best Rom-Com of 2019!
Maybe is a one of a kind character. She is unusual with great analogies for any kind of situation. She is loud and proud and not afraid of who she is, but is also a tad bit shy. She truly blossoms like a butterfly, when she is around her favorite people.
Milo is a freaking God. He is the humblest billionaire I have ever read about, and is not afraid to let people know they can attain anything they put their minds to. He has an amazing personality with an even better outlook on life.
Anything can happen when a text message is the conversation starter.
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!
The second book in this new “billionaire” series is fluffing awesome!
Maybe (Mabel) has moved back to NYC after finishing her master’s degree in “books.” While she’s waiting for her first real job in the publishing world, she’s filling in at her parent’s floral shop. When her brother Evan’s bff and her teenage crush Milo comes walking in the store, she’s tongue tied…and he doesn’t recognize her.
Fast forward to Evan asking for help breaking in the filed, Milo makes a few contacts. Throw in Maybe sending ridiculously hilarious text messages while hopped up after having her wisdom tooth removed, and the two start a series of text messages that turn more than friendly.
As with other Max Monroe books, this is full of fun, flirty humor and side characters that are integral to the story, and hilarious on their own. Fans of their series will not be disappointed by the story, or the appearance of our favorite fluffing character from the original billionaire series!
