Mabel “Maybe” Willis died a virgin at the very young age of twenty-four.She leaves behind her parents, Betty and Bruce, her brother, Evan, a laptop filled with one too many Jason Momoa memes, and a Kindle library with more books than one human being could ever finish in a lifetime.Cause of death: a text message.Okay. So, I didn’t die.But I may as well have. One minute, I’m a woman trying to find … have.
One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone. Whatever.
We’re talking code red, send a flipping mayday, the apocalypse is coming kind of texts.
And I didn’t just send them to some random person I’ll never see again.
No. That would be too easy.
I sent them to Milo Ives.
The man who played a starring role in all of my teenage fantasies—and my brother’s lifelong best friend.
And, boy oh boy, has he grown up.
He’s hard-bodied, blue-eyed, jawline-of-stone handsome, crazy successful, and has more money in his bank account than my brain can fathom.
Deflower me, please? I said.
Yeah. Send help.

Max (&) Monroe have a direct line to my funny bone! I absolutely needed all the giggles, awkward cringes and full on belly laughs that Maybe & Milo provided while navigating the road from friends to lovers. A progression that wasn’t surprising considering the chemistry between them was off the charts.
And can I just say how much I love the fact that Max (&) Monroe’s characters are (for the most part) super likeable & relatable. They make you wanna spend time with them, be their friends and just live in their worlds.
After reading Maybe and Milo’s story, I can’t decide which one I have more of a crush on because I’m a sucker for a quirky, intelligent, and self-aware heroine, but I also can’t get enough of hero who is more than swoon worthy, not because of the size of his bank account or the success of his business, but the fact that he’s a charming and humble gentleman who may be one gorgeous guy but it’s his personality that makes him everything a girl could want.
Deflower me, please? I said.
Those are probably not the best words to text to someone, especially when that someone is your brother’s best friend as well as the guy you’ve had a crush on since you were 11. But even though Maybe feels extremely embarrassed and quite a bit humiliated, her awkward text messages open up a dialogue between her and Milo that probably would have never happened without those impulsive text messages. And, I also thinks it’s the perfect avenue for Maybe to ask questions, ones she would never ask Milo face to face, about sex and all that comes with it.
I love how Max Monroe used texting to show just how attracted Maybe and Milo are to each other while also allowing them to say things and inquire information from each other that they, especially Maybe, would never bring up in mixed company or without the protection of a phone.
It was only a matter of time before these two gave into their electric chemistry and attraction because there’s only so many times they can deny what they want, especially when they’re constantly together and want the same thing. But while things between them do progress, it’s not something that can happen instantaneously because there are other people to consider as well as the high stakes that are involved if something other than friendship happens between them.
And while Milo did frustrate me a bit at times because of his mixed signals and hot/cold demeanor, I understood his struggle…his hesitancy when it came to his growing feelings for Maybe and just what those feelings might do, not only to his relationship to his best friend’s little sister, but to his best friend as well.
My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is another hilarious romcom from the comedic minds of Max Monroe. It’s a sweet, feel good read that has a great blend of witty exchanges, comical scenes, and a cast of quirky, sassy, and spirited characters that will have readers both laughing and cringing at what comes out of their mouths. And while I absolutely loved seeing cameos from some of my favorite Max Monroe characters, the one that intrigued me the most is Caplin Hawkins, and because he’s reminds me of Thatch in some ways. I’m so ready for Cap to be handed his ass by his leading lady!

OMG.. I was blown away by how many times I actually busted up laughing while reading this story. It by far the funniest book I’ve read in a long time.
I adore Maybe’s sassy, quirky, ramble when I’m nervous personality. She was everything I imagined a classic over thinker who’s trying to land a hottie would be. And what a hottie Milo is.
I literally could not put this book down, it was that good!!!!
Can’t wait to read Cap’s story next.

If you looking for a book that has the feels, but will have you laughing the whole way look further. This book had me cracking up right from the beginning. I just loved Maybe. She’s so adorably awkward and I want to be friends with her and Lena. I hope Lena gets a book just saying. Milo, that guy is just yummy and dreamy. I can see why Maybe has always had a crush on him. He has his swoon worthy moments for sure! Then add in the hilarity that’s Maybe’s family. You have yourself a recipe for a must read book. Did I mention Milo is best friends with Maybe’s brother? One that he has warned to his friends is off limits? Yeah now you know and it means things are going to be a whole lot interesting. So buckle up and enjoy the ride this book takes you on. You won’t disappointed.
I haven’t laughed so hard in a while, Maybe and Milo had me laughing through the whole book. It’s a perfect rom- com book. You can never be disappointed by this amazing writing duet. They got me hard on this book, Maybe a girl helping in her dad’s flower shop and trying to get a job in publishing in NYC, while Milo her brother’s first friend and crush can help her. You will enjoy this book immensely.

This is just the kind of contemporary romance that I love. A slow-burn romance that is hot, humorous, and leaves me happy. I honestly couldn’t put the book down once I started. I’ve always loved a Brother’s Best Friend trope, and this one did not disappoint.
The plot of this story was very satisfying. Maybe graduates college and needs a job with her fancy new degree. Her brother’s best friend, who happens to be her childhood crush, pops back into her life to try and help her get a job with his connections since he’s, you know, a billionaire businessman.
Maybe is a character that is easy to love and easy to relate to. She is a little awkward and a little naive, but she feels very down to Earth. She is adorable and funny and I wanted to plop her into my own life. She is the type of heroine that you want to see get the guy at the end of the book. Though I have to admit her nickname could be confusing at times. Milo is totally dream-worthy. He is a billionaire, but he isn’t the typical rich guy that is arrogant and thinks he’s hot stuff. He is just as down to Earth as Maybe, and I liked that. He is absolutely charming.
Maybe and Milo are so great together. I loved their attraction to one another and the slow-burn from friendship to more. It was evident from the writing that these two are perfect for each other. I loved Milo’s integrity. Although he had feelings for Maybe he didn’t want to cross the Bro Code boundaries. He cares for Maybe, but he also cares for his friend.
Overall, this is such an entertaining book that will have you laughing out loud and swooning. This is a light read with a quirky heroine and a dashing hero. This is a set of characters that you won’t soon forget!
Max Monroe has once again given me characters that I fall in love with and want to befriend If only I could crawl into their world . Mabel aka Maybe has always been known to Milo as his best friends little sister but he lost track of her and now she is all grown up . The moment they meet he doesn’t realize who she is but he soon finds he can’t stop thinking about the girl from the flower shop . When they are finally thrown together it is RomCom magic. They are funny, awkward, hesitant and oh so quirky but the attraction is simmering and smoldering !!! I laughed out loud at the b=pure bluntness of Mabel ….so innocent but absolutely captivating !!! When also cannot deny that Milo is truly swoon worthy !!! Loved them !!!

Warning: Do not read this book in a public setting, as you might find yourself uncontrollably laughing out loud, and others might look at you like you’ve lost your mind.
Seriously, this book was absolutely hilarious and probably one of the funniest books that I have ever read!! I cannot even begin to count how many times I found myself laughing and smiling and shaking my head at some of the things that happened with Maybe and Milo – the texts between them were some of the best parts of this story. Maybe is one of the funniest characters that I have ever read about – totally naïve in many ways, but that added to her charm. And Milo – he tried so hard not to fall for his best friend’s sister, but once he started spending time with her, the feelings just developed. I just loved both of them and didn’t want their story to end.
The secondary characters in this story were just as awesome (gotta love her Dad) and I’m glad to see Cap is getting his story next, which should be super entertaining…….but Lena, she needs one too!!
For being my first book from Max Monroe, I’m beyond thrilled with how awesome it was and I cannot wait to read more from these authors! Definitely add this one to your TBR list – you won’t be disappointed!!
First off I want to say thank you to the authors. I keep reading books where the hero is some kind of god’s gift. Books where every female character, whether they are a waitress, shopkeeper, friend etc thinks the hero is SO hot that they all have to flirt with him and give the heroine the evil eye. This book had none of that and I am so thankful for that as I think it takes away from the story. Other than that this was a cute brother’s best friend love story with a very naive virgin trying to find her way in the dating word and the man who falls hopelessly in love with her. It was the perfect light hearted read I needed.

This is my second book by Max Monroe, and I have quickly fallen in love with their writing and laugh out loud rom coms. My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend was such a fun read that kept me laughing from the first page until the very end.
Maybe is adorably quirky, inexperienced and extremely socially awkward. And I want her to be my best friend! She’s just returned to NY after college ready to kickstart her career in publishing, make some friends and finally experience everything she missed out on in college while she sat home studying.
While I want Maybe to be my best friend, I’m staking my claim on Milo as my new boyfriend! He’s gorgeous, successful, and super sweet. He legit made me swoon, and I couldn’t get enough of him!
I loved that text messages were a huge aspect of the story and combined with a brother’s best friend romance it was a complete hit! I loved these characters, their chemistry, and how their story developed. The supporting characters were perfect additions (I think we need a book with nothing but Bruce quotes!) and I just loved everything about this book.
If you’re looking for a hysterical, fun read this is definitely it!
Max Monroe always puts a smile on my face and delivers a book with humor and feels. This book had it all and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
Mabel (Maybe) is out of college and moved back to New York to look for a job at a publishing house. She is working with her parents until she finds the right job. While working one day a crush from her past shows up. Milo is her brother’s best friend and the boy she has had a crush on.
Milo is a self-made billionaire and has connections that can help Maybe get into the publishing world. He would do anything for his best friend and their family. He is a swoon worthy hero you can’t help but fall for.
I loved this book and devoured it in one sitting. The chemistry between these was off the charts and such a fun read. I highly recommend this book!
This book was hilarious and had so many laugh out loud moments. I LOVED this book SO much.
Be prepared to read this book in one sitting. You will not want to take a break.
Milo is top notch. You will love to be with him while he fights his feelings for his best friend’s sister. Milo is definitely one in a million. He is so sweet, sexy and fun. He is definitely a goner and will do what it takes to win. He evokes so much sweet emotion. Be ready. He may even replace Kline for some? MAYBE….
Maybe is amazing! She is incredibly innocent, but that is what you will love most about her. Maybe is definitely new to the whole world of love. It is really adorable. She is a hot mess and awkward, but that makes you love her even more. Do not worry, as always, you will have side characters that you will adore.
Be ready to laugh out loud, swoon and have all the feels.
This is a MUST READ!
Five love stars for Maybe and Milo !!!
Max Monroe never disappoints!
I’ve only read two books that this amazing duet has written and I can say that I’m in love with their writing.
This is one of the best rom-com books I’ve read this year and a perfect book for bringing it with you on your summer vacation.
Maybe and Milo made me laugh through the whole book.
I love both characters.
Maybe is a female character who with her actions remains me of me and Milo is a man which every woman wants in her life .
My Brothers Billionaire Best Friend by Max Monroe was a fun and light read that had me laughing out loud and loving Maybe and Milo. Yes, Maybe is our heroine’s name. Well her name is Mabel Willis, but everyone called her Maybe. She was funny and quirky and just plain adorable and very likable. I loved her from the beginning. Milo is her brother’s best friend and older and she has crushed on him for years.
Maybe has been in California finishing up school and is now back home looking to start living in all ways possible. When Milo enters her life again, the last thing she wants to do is send a very embarrassing and truthful text to Milo. Yet suddenly they are texting, talking and spending time together. Can Milo see past this best friend’s little sister to the woman she has become? I loved Milo. He may have been a billionaire, but he was also very down to earth, caring and honest.
I loved My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend by Max Monroe. I laughed out loud so many times and just loved their journey. They were friends and I loved watching them fall. I also loved the side characters so much! We all need a Lena in our lives! This was a fun read with all the best feels and fun moments.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
5 star review My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend by Max Monroe
What an absolutely cracking way to start to my work week. I laughed so much that I nearly cried reading this book. Max and Monroe you have done it again.
I cannot express in words just how amazingly talented this writing duo is. There is absolutely nothing that I don’t love about Milo Ives and Mabel (Maybe) Willis both separately and together.
This was a laugh out loud hilarious read that had me receiving many funny looks as I read this on the plane travelling across the country for business.
When Maybe is convinced she has died after dental work, in her drug induced confusion, she sends outrageous texts to her childhood crush Milo asking him to deflower her. The very last things she expects is for Milo to turn up at her parents shop and ask her to lunch when he finds her there.
The chemistry between the Milo and Maybe is intense and you can feel the tension as it builds. The banter was humorous and I loved the camaraderie between Milo and his friends. The secondary character of Lena was fabulous and I would love to see more of her in a future book.
From start to finish I was totally hooked, a fun and highly entertaining story that I recommend.
Maybe would be an amazing friend with her fun and quirky ways. She finds herself working for her parents as she searches for her dream job in publishing. When her brother’s best friend Milo stops in the shop one day to buy flowers, she is crushed, when he doesn’t recognize her. For Maybe, Milo has been the number 1 crush since she was a kid and now Milo is a super sexy billionaire but she just sees the Milo she has always loved. Milo agrees to help Evan’s little sister, Maybe, with his contacts to get some interviews. When he gets a crazy text from Maybe, well, he doesn’t know what to think. And then he’s even more surprised when he sees her that she is girl from the flower shop that hasn’t left his mind. Add in an eccentric friend in Lena who helps guide socially awkward Maybe to getting her man and you have laugh out loud, sexy fun to devour. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
The queens of romantic comedy have done it again !!!!! What else is there to say apart from this is a MUST READ for all lovers of rom-com. This book had me laughing or should I say snorting out loud, it had me giggling and it left me smiling like a Cheshire Cat as I got to know Milo Ives and Mabel (Maybe) Willis. I was hooked from the first page to the very last line and I’m sure if you one click My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend you will be too. I’m struggling to find the words to do this book justice, it’s hard to describe the feelings, the banter and the love that comes across in this wonderful story about family and friends. Milo and Maybe are perfect for each other and the banter they share throughout their story flows so naturally and what about the sizzling off the charts chemistry!!!! I guess all that’s left to say is you need to get your one click finger working you won’t regret it .
CALL ME MAYBE….
This is my first Max Monroe book, and after reading it and, then, looking at all of the books on Amazon, by these authors, I know it will not be my last….
As the title suggests, thirty year old, self-made billionaire, Milo Ives, has been best friends to Evan Willis, the brother of twenty-four year old, Stanford graduate (and virgin), Mabel “Maybe” Willis, as far back as elementary school…..Evan even runs the Austin branch of Milo’s very successful business, Fuse….so, obviously, they are very close, and, of course, Maybe is very off limits to ANY of Evan’s friends….until she decides she’s not….
After years apart, when Milo walks into Maybe’s and Evan’s family’s flower shop, “Bruce Willis & Sons Floral” (Yes, Maybe’s father’s actual name is Bruce Willis…), Milo doesn’t even recognize the gorgeous, little brunette…but he likes what he sees…..
Maybe has crushed on Milo since she was a little girl, and, although she doesn’t immediately admit it, it’s obvious, she has been in love with Milo for as long as she has been old enough to have those feelings…..and, now that she’s all grown up, and Milo has “found” her, her feelings don’t seem to be one sided….but he’s really fighting the guilt about hiding their relationship…OK, I really need to stop here, before I retell the whole book…
I loved this story, I loved Milo and Maybe, I loved their chemistry, I loved how torn he was and always trying to do the “right” thing….I loved how their relationship developed, organically….I loved the texting and getting to know each other as adults…….and how the authors made the story about Milo and Maybe….(They take up very little time on Evan and her family discovering the truth)….And I loved the ending…..I just loved the book, period, so it looks like I have a truckload Of Max Monroe books to buy….I need to find an Amazon gift card giveaway….like, now!!!
My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend is another fun and fabulously funny read by duo authors Max Monroe. It follows the ups and downs on the hilarious, sometimes awkward relationship between thirty-year-old Milo, who is maybe Willis’s brother’s best friend. Of course, Evan said brother in this equation has invoked the ‘bro code; the unspoken codex that means no man touches his friend’s sister.
It’s simple when the sister is just a kid but Maybe isn’t thirteen anymore. She’s twenty-four and has Milo jumping through loops. Mentally at least. He tries… oh so hard to resist but it’s a fight that’s doomed from the moment these two reconnected.
The banter is just brilliant, #newbiesextingforthewin lol.
I loved these two together, they were fun, even though it was a very slow burner, the story was worth it and their relationship fully-fledged and engaged when the deed went down. Max and Monroe have delivered on all counts. Grab your copy today.

Sexy. Fun. Flirty. Hilariously entertaining.
I love a good brother’s best friend romance and it’s even better when it’s also a rom com. I laughed so much and so hard while reading, I’m talking belly-aching-tears-in-my-eyes cackling. I haven’t laughed that much when reading a book in who knows how long. My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend hit all the feel-good spots.
Maybe and her adorable awkwardness got me every time. Her antics had me laughing nonstop. I loved how quirky and innocent she was. She was such a breath of fresh air and I adored her so much.
Milo was so easy to like. He isn’t an egotistical, pretentious, snotty and holier-than-thou billionaire. He earned everything he has by continuously working hard in which ultimately had him achieving his goal. He was just the ultimate. I couldn’t get enough of him or his charming ways. I wanted more, so much more.
Maybe and Milo were the absolute best! They had me smiling so big and equally laughing my butt off. I loved their getting-to-know-you stage, which easy veered into their friendship and ultimately turned to something more. Their texting was fan-freaking-tastic, but their sexting, OMFG I was squealing with delight and also cackling so hard. I fluffing loved this book and Maybe and Milo so fluffing much!
Max Monroe have once again brought the countless laughs and very likable characters with My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend. They’ve once again shown why they’re the unstoppable, ultimate and incredible duo they are.
Definitely recommend
