Mabel “Maybe” Willis died a virgin at the very young age of twenty-four.She leaves behind her parents, Betty and Bruce, her brother, Evan, a laptop filled with one too many Jason Momoa memes, and a Kindle library with more books than one human being could ever finish in a lifetime.Cause of death: a text message.Okay. So, I didn’t die.But I may as well have. One minute, I’m a woman trying to find … have.
One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone. Whatever.
We’re talking code red, send a flipping mayday, the apocalypse is coming kind of texts.
And I didn’t just send them to some random person I’ll never see again.
No. That would be too easy.
I sent them to Milo Ives.
The man who played a starring role in all of my teenage fantasies—and my brother’s lifelong best friend.
And, boy oh boy, has he grown up.
He’s hard-bodied, blue-eyed, jawline-of-stone handsome, crazy successful, and has more money in his bank account than my brain can fathom.
Deflower me, please? I said.
Yeah. Send help.

This trope is generally not my favorite. But this one was very well written. I laughed many times. But others I rolled my eyes at how naive Maybe could be. I LOVED Lena and can’t wait for Cap’s book.
This book is hilarious and definitely deserves a re-read. I laughed so hard- along the lines of how I laughed reading Kline and Georgia’s story.
Milo is awesome: completely swoon-worthy. Maybe is a little bit of a wreck, but funny as all get out. I love that her childhood crush finally sees her, then can’t stand to be away from her. I love how brave Maybe is at pushing Milo past the boundaries he has set, yet he 100% shows her respect. So many scenes that made my heart squeeze it makes me wish I wrote reviews that include spoilers.
You need to read this book. Seriously, you really do.
Maybe’s parents are also awesome and her dad is brings a lot of laughs to the story. I love that we get a cameo from Dr. ERotic and that makes me want to go back and re-read all of the other books to see if I missed something else along the way.
Max and Monroe do not disappoint. This is another outstanding Rom-Com.
I’m loving Max Monroe. They are amazing!
This book will make you laugh and swoon over and over again. Brother’s Best Friends Romance is one of my favorite tropes, so adding in that he’s also a billionaire makes it so much more!
First I’ll dish out my few bits that just bugged me a little before I get to why I enjoyed this read.
Before digging into this myself I read some reviews on Instagram where the main heroine MAYBE & the hero MILO mention A TON that she is his “best friends little sister”. I just thought maybe it was just in their opinion that it was being mentioned a lot, but no. In the first half of the book, i also felt like the mention of Maybe being his best friends little sister/ her brother’s best friend was mentioned WAY too many times. After seeing it so much in the first few chapters I was like- Okay I get it. She’s his best friends little sister. No need to keep repeating it. Thankfully the second half of the book was better about that and only mentioned it a few times.
Also, even though I liked Maybe’s character, she seemed to act more “teenagish” than her actual age. I get that she wasn’t experienced in sexual relations, but still. It’s the 21st century and she seemed to act like a preteen at times- she just gave off that vibe.
But when she acted her age it was great. And Milo was just perfect. Swoon swoon swoon! I loved how Milo knew he couldn’t keep his attraction and love for Maybe a secret from his best friend. He not only didn’t want anything between them, but he wanted his approval and to make sure he knew he truly loved her and cared for her. He just didn’t expect him to find out in the circumstances in which he did. Which by the way just melted my heart anyways! Lol
So definitely grab this read and be prepared to have you another book boyfriend to swoon over!
This sweet and witty story had me seriously swooning and literally laughing from the beginning to THE END! Maybe (Mabel) has just graduated from Stanford with a degree in “books.” She is hoping to get a job as an editor at Beacon House, the most prestigious publishing house in NYC. For now, she’s helping her parents at the floral shop until she gets her break. Her first customer is Milo Ives, her brother, Evan’s, best friend. This is the guy she has crushed on since she was young and always pulling pranks on Evan’s friends. He is ordering flowers for his mom and the entire time he’s talking to Maybe, there’s not even a flicker of recognition. Milo is fascinated by the gorgeous woman taking his order and it’s much later that he finds out it’s Maybe. Seriously? She’s really grown into a stunner. Once they have a chance to reconnect, the wit, wonder, sarcasm and delight begin and it’s game on! Maybe sends an inadvertent text to Milo with the request to “deflower me!” Milo is smitten with her but doesn’t quite know what to make of this. He laughs but is affected in more ways than one. As they grow closer, Milo feels more guilt because he was warned by Evan to keep his hands off his sister. He’s also feeling guilty because Maybe wants something that should be shared by people in love, not just friends. Miscommunication almost destroys their happy future, but a medical emergency shows Milo the truth as to the extent of his feelings. He needs to know if Maybe feels the same way. The ending is absolutely perfect and the epilogue brings full closure to their HEA. A real joy to read!
Mabel AKA “Maybe” has been in love with Milo for some time now. If only he wasn’t her brother’s best friend. Always thinking she is still a kid. Why not show him she is a woman now?
Milo is in trouble. He is attracted to this amazing woman who turns out to be the grown up version of his best friend’s little sister. She is everything he has been looking for. Well if he had been looking.
These characters were so much fun to read! I loved the banter back and forth, the texts and the story was just so entertaining. Then the heat gets turned up fast and it electrified each page. Such a great and compelling story.
4.5 stars
Max Monroe is coming back with a new hilarious, sexy, entertaining and light story. Calling all younger brother best friend lovers! Milo and Maybe the story is just for you!
Mabel “Maybe”, freshly graduated from college is looking for her dreamily job at a publishing house. But at this moment she is working at her family flower shop and dealing with crazy and amazing parents. She is young, funny, smart and filled with a need of having new experiences. Especially in dating and intimacy department. And there is one guy who may help her with this part and other too.
Milo is a dream package, successful, intelligent, sexy, caring and funny. He is also a guy, Mabel was in love since they were kids. But Maybe grown-up and Milo didn’t know what shot him, literally. Their first meeting after years didn’t end as Mabel wanted. But Mabel’s brother, Milo best friend, asked him to help her find a job.
And let’s just say this tiny “suggestion” started a great story filled with funny, awkward and swoon-worthy moments. Maybe was very motivated to show Milo, that she isn’t an awkward kid anymore but adult and confident woman. And, seeing Mabel in a new light, Milo couldn’t stop his attraction toward Maybe and with time very protective and possessive streak. Because, at every occasion, Mabel tempted Milo, with a simple smile, touch or question.
But will Milo and Maybe admit their feelings toward each other? Will Milo let himself to be kicked for developing feeling toward his best friend “off-limits” sister?
Max Monroe created a great story about friendship, love, gaining confidence and getting after your dreamy man and job. You just need good friends to push you a little around, make mistakes sometimes and just be yourself. Don’t be afraid to admit your feelings. Just do it!
I’ve got to say, I love this one better than The Billionaire Boss Next Door!
You can always count on Max Monroe to make you laugh out loud at really inappropriate moments if you are reading in public. Alot of the times you’ll be smiling mindlessly without caring what other people thought of you when there’s embarrassing scenes. Kid you not, this is the funniest book ever!
Maybe is a one of a kind character. She is loud and proud and not afraid of who she is. She always had a crush on his brother’s best friend, Milo. Milo is a freaking God. He is the humblest billionaire I’ve ever read about, and is not afraid to let people know they can attain anything they put their minds to. He has an amazing personality.
When he runs into Maybe Willis years later, he saw her turned into a beautiful goddess, not a little kid anymore. He can’t seem to stay away. One problem though, she is his best friends little and obviously, off limits!
But did he stay away?
This book has all the feels super funny, sweet and a little bit of angst. Totally recommended for a good laugh and all the swoons!
ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review.
LOVED!! Milo & Maybe were so cute together!! I love that Milo tried to be respectful to Evan, but that his feelings for Maybe just wouldn’t let him. I enjoyed watching them go from friends to lovers. Such a great book!
To me, this was a cute book. I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters and the storyline (especially the first texts Mayb sends to Milo – Definite laugh out loud moments).
Mabel ‘Maybe’ Willis is back from the west coast and ready to take on the editorial world. Luckily she has a big brother with some connections (aka his best bud) that is willing to help her out. Through a series of text messages Maybe and Milo become fast friends and Maybe finally gets her chance with her teenage crush.
The only problem I had with this book is I felt like we got so much Maybe and not a lot of Milo. I felt like he was a secondary character. I just couldn’t connect with him. Good news though, if you’ve read any of their other books Thatch makes some appearances in this one and he’s always there for a good laugh and now I can’t wait to read Cap’s book in September.

My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend has been one of Max Monroe’s BEST romantic comedies to date! I flipping LOVED everything about Milo and Maybe’s sweet, sexy, hilarious, and swoon-worthy love story. The storyline and characters were PHENOMENAL, and I have become addicted to Max Monroe’s writing style and sense of humor. Max and Monroe are the QUEENS of romantic comedy, and it has been absolutely impossible for me to not love every single book they release. My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend has been one of my very favorites from this MUST READ author duo, and I can’t wait to devour the next standalone romcom in the Billionaire Collection!
Another win from Max Monroe. Their books keep getting better and better!
Milo and Maybe’s story is perfection. It’s a slow-burn of the best kind. It’s full of humor and steam with just a touch of angst. Maybe is a bit awkward and whole lot of awesome. Milo is… EVERYTHING! So sexy and swoony and I just loved him.
This writing duo creates some fantastic characters. And one of our fave BBB’s makes a guest appearance! I adored this book and I cannot wait for the next installment.
4.5 Stars!
We’ve come to expect deliciously entertaining Rom-Coms, featuring quirky, witty and genuinely funny characters from this fantastic writing duo, Max Monroe, and My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend follows the formula to a T! You’re going to fall in love with Maybe and Milo, they’re one of the best book couples I’ve come across this year. Adding more comic relief to the story are the secondary characters but, my favorite is Maybe’s adorkable father, Bruce Willis; his mix-up of popular sayings are sometimes unintentionally inappropriate and he had me in snickering and shaking my head in wonder. It’s the perfect get-lost-for-an-afternoon read, light and easy, with just a smidgen of drama to keep it interesting. Pssst…there’s another Billionaire coming soon, and I can’t wait!
Mabel “Maybe” Willis graduated from Stanford with a master’s degree and majored in English Literature and wants to work in publishing. Unfortunately she’s currently working at her parents’ flower shop until she can figure out a way to get someone to at least give her an interview. Maybe’s grateful she’s not living at home since her brother Evan lent her his apartment. He’s the CFO of Fuse, the billion dollar business his best friend, Milo, owns and is currently working from the secondary headquarters in Austin. Maybe really needs another job; before her dad, Bruce, drives her crazy!
“You sure have a way with words, Bruce.”
“Betty and Maybe call them Bruce-ism.”
“Trust me,” Maybe interjects. “That’s not a compliment.”
When Milo Ives walks into Bruce’s shop, to order flowers for his mother, he’s pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful new employee taking his order. It’s not until he speaks to Evan, who calls to ask Milo to help his sister, see if he can call some contacts so Maybe can get a foot in the door at, so to speak. As one of Forbes riches men, Milo has a lot of contacts and it shouldn’t be difficult for him to help set up an interview. Milo of course jumps at the chance of seeing Maybe again. He didn’t recognize Evan’s little sister at the flower shop. Last time he saw her she was an eleven year-old cute kid. Now she’s a beautiful woman. And after receiving a few intriguing, and revealing, texts messages from Maybe, who was stoned out of her mind due to having her wisdom teeth extracted Milo’s really intrested.
“She is apparently my kryptonite.”
Milo wants, and tries really hard, to keep things PG between them; he’s aware he can’t hit on his best friend’s little sister, that goes against all the bro-codes. Meanwhile Maybe is plotting, with help from a new found friend, how her lifelong crush can ‘deflower’ her. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Maybe’s a virgin. This story is so cute, and you’re going to love these two!
“When I saw the two of you together the other night, I saw a man with genuine eyes looking at a girl like she was walking on water.”
Maybe was down right quirky and fun. She had no clue and her learning experience is what made this book. Don’t get me wrong, her and Milo love story was cute but the journey, the education, and the mishaps will have you laughing out loud. The DP stole the show and the two sedated conversation. Priceless..
4 stars!
She’s my best friend’s little sister. And one-hundred-percent off-limits.
Max Monroe really knows how to bring the fun and this book is no exception. This duo nails the comedy while perfectly blending it with feels and fire creating an original and entertaining read.
Maybe Willis is twenty-four and helping out at her dad’s flower shop while looking for a job in publishing in New York City. She has all the credentials but it is hard to snag her dream job in a city full of candidates. Milo Ives, her brother’s best friend and her long time crush, has connections and may be able to help her out as a favor to her brother. Little did they know, this favor would be the start of something no one expected. And even though Maybe’s brother makes sure Milo knows his sister is off limits, it doesn’t stop Milo from seeing the beautiful girl in front of him and falling for her.
“You may look like some delicate little flower, but you’re not. You’re feisty and sassy as hell when you want to be.”
From Maybe’s awkward moments to her endearing truths, and Milo’s sweet personality and his sexy demeanor, I fell in love with this couple. Whether they are together in person, texting one another, or talking on the phone, Maybe and Milo are so much fun. Every moment is entertaining, and I couldn’t get enough of them.
The feels are real and I could relate to the reservations they had but also the strength of attraction. I loved that Maybe was still crushing hard on her brother’s best friend but even more so I loved seeing Milo come to terms with the fact that he was attracted to his best friend’s little sister. He only ever saw her as a child so when he sees her again and she is now a woman, it messes with his head. Seeing her now is putting dirty thoughts in his head when he should be professional. The sexual tension gets thicker the more time they spend together and I knew they would be hot if they gave it a chance.
“The man is like my own personal drug, one hit off his smile and I’m done for. Addicted. Desperate for more.”
They can go from smiling and laughing to hot and bothered in a matter of seconds, and I loved that it felt genuine. They fit together like a puzzle and things are on track to becoming serious when they hit a bump in the road. It was frustrating and sad but I knew they had to work a few things out before they could be together. I appreciated that there wasn’t any over-the-top drama and the conflict is not drawn out making the heartache short lived.
In the end, Maybe and Milo really were perfect for each other. I loved them both individually, and as a couple, and I believed in their love.
I have to say that the secondary characters are awesome as always. Lena is a hoot. She has such a fun personality and is so optimistic that I couldn’t help but smile as she helps Maybe. They are fast friends and I enjoyed every time Lena took Maybe out of her comfort zone. She is the wonderful friend for Maybe and I loved all the scenes she was in. I loved seeing cameos of other Max Monroe heroes and I can’t wait for more Cap!! I know there is more to him that meets the eye and I am dying to meet the girl who tames him!
Word of advice, straight from me to you: have emergency services on standby while reading this book. You’ll faint, swoon, fall head-over-heels, and die from too much laughter (if that’s even possible).
I don’t know how they do it, and at this point I’ve just given up even trying to guess, but Max Monroe has delivered another smash romcom with My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend. Their signature comedic approach to romance is uniquely theirs, and this book is just another example of their incomparable writing style and talent.
This book starts out with a bang; humor at its finest…i.e. “Brucisms”. But what I found that truly made this story soar besides the knee-slapping comedy was Maybe and Milo. Their friends-to-lovers relationship is anything but stereotypical. Sweet, innocent, and feisty Maybe was the perfect counterpart to sexy, charming, and irresistible Milo. Having not seen each other since Maybe was just a young teenager, all it takes is a drunken text “Deflower me, please?” for Milo to start seeing Maybe as the beautiful, strong, and independent woman she’s become.
I just can’t get enough of Max Monroe’s books. The authors put their trademark comedic stamp on every romcom they write, making each story a one-of-a-kind. Not only do you have fantastic main characters, but the supporting cast brings their own flair, enhancing the overall outcome of the story. You’re in for a real treat with this book, not only from the laugh-out-loud moments but from the conflicting emotions and heartfelt moments woven within the pages.
An enjoyable entertaining read. Maybe has had a crush on Milo for years. Of course he is older than her and her brothers best friend. When they meet again after years he doesn’t recognise her. Which is a areal kick in the teeth for her.
Some embarrassing texts and a request from her brother for Milo to help her out, allows them to reengage. Easy reading, with sweet and steamy moments.
Please read the disclaimer before diving into this book. I nearly popped a stitch reading this after surgery! Max Monroe you did not disappoint on the swooning, steamy, funny, sexy story that is Milo and Maybe.
My Brothers Billionaire Best Friend is the total package. Maybe just might give Georgia a run for her cute and clumsy self. Milo is like no other Billionaire from this writing duo. As always the supporting characters are great. And I am so excited to see that Cap is finally getting his story. Look out Thatch! Cap and Thatch together are hysterical.
So if you love a great rom-com this is your book. Again, read the disclaimer! You will laugh out loud and fall in love. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough.
Max Monroe are quickly becoming my go to authors when I need a book that’s going to have me laughing out loud and Mabel’s story definitely made me laugh.
Mabel ‘Maybe’ Willis has had a crush on her brothers best friend Milo forever. When they meet again years later, Milo doesn’t recognise Maybe but when her brother asks him for a favour, it throws them both together and the laughs start coming.
Maybe is hysterical. She’s random and awkward and I don’t think it’s possible for me to love her more than I do. Not only is she extremely funny, she’s unbelievably sweet and a little (a lot) clueless when it comes to the opposite sex. I adored Maybe. Everything about her draws you to her and her naive innocence only sweetens the pot. Half the time I didn’t know whether to laugh or cringe at the things she comes out with. She’s adorable.
This book was such a fun romance to read. The characters will draw you in and the story will keep you hooked. Another brilliant book from these authors.
5 Deflowering Maybe
A sizzling slow burn romance that is so much fun, utterly swoony and absolutely hysterical! I cannot stop smiling!!! Milo and Maybe were one of my favorite couples.
Maybe is adorably naive and clueless in all things love. A recent Stanford graduate, she’s back home and struggling to get a job.
Milo is a successful billionaire with all the connections Maybe could need to get the job of her dreams. Good thing he’s her brother’s best friend.
Maybe is all about getting some help to get a job, but Milo had no idea that she’s been crushing on him since she was a kid. Now she has the opportunity to get Milo right where she wants him.
Maybe is innocent which leads to many laugh-out-loud moments. You can’t help but love her. Milo’s maturity and desire to have what his best friend found with his fiance, makes him even more attractive.
This billionaire romance was the perfect beach or anytime read. The characters were some of the authors’ best. I hope we get more Lena and Cap because they definitely have their own story’s to tell. I absolutely loved this billionaire romance.
