An enemy to love romance.
Violet just wanted to make her Papa (Grandpa) happy before he passed and having him walk her down the aisle was what he wanted. But two weeks before her wedding her fiance broke things off and she realized she wasn’t really in love with him anyway. But now, what’s she going to do? At the same time, her best friends’ brother, Ross, is faced with an ultimatum to settle down or lose his job with the family business because of a misunderstanding. Can they work together to make both of their situations work out without killing each other?
This romance is really emotional for both Ross and Violet and I found myself laughing out loud at parts and crying in others. It’s well written and developed and I could not put it down until I finished it.

Fantastic characterizations of all the myriad players. Great depiction of the machinations within a family, especially within an Italian family. I loved the romance and sensual moments between the two main male and female characters. Highly recommended for a truly romantic romp.
Excellent.

I really enjoyed this story. I listened in audio and was entertained from start to finish.
I do love an enemies to lovers romance and a fake relationship romance that becomes more, so it was a win, win.
My big fat fake Wedding has humour, hotness and a swoon-worthy ending. This is my first book by this author and I would definitely read more.
Told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea
Frenemy’s To ‘Fake’ Spouses??
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
My Big, Fat, Fake Wedding
This has some deep, genuine emotions at its centre. A Grandaughters deep love for her dying Papa, her bestfriend trying to give two people she loves dearly what they need, two frenemy’s seeing past their childhood pasts & much more!!
Violet & her Italian family are relatable, funny & loving!! Nana & Papa are so perfect with all of their squabbling but especially the saucy looks they give each other! Its so clear how much love her Mum Maria was able to bring her up surrounded by! Her bestfriend is Abi, they’ve known each other since childhood when Abi’s big brother Ross would complain about them being around all the time. He then continued to give Violet grief once she started High School!
Adult Ross isn’t who his Dad & the press has him pegged as! It really annoyed, offended & hurt him when he realises his Dad’s low opinion! Unfortunately his response isn’t the wisest & may just end up proving everything his Dad thought was true!!
This is often a fun read but it’s mostly romantic, cute, sexy & emotive! Its a bit of an unrealistic storyline but once you suspend reality it’s lovely!

Another fun easy read
Loved the characters & the story. Wish more men were like Ross!
I would have given it 5 stars if by the end the author had replaced fuck for love making. It’s a love story after all
What she will do for her Papa
My Big Fat Fake Wedding is a fun and entertaining story of the length one young woman will go to make her grandfather’s wishes/dreams come true in his remaining time. Violet loves her Papa more than anything but something is not right. It takes a doctor’s visit to determine what is wrong and then Violet has some decisions to make quickly. She wants to make all of her Papa’s wishes/dreams come true and the big one is walking her down the aisle at her wedding. There is only one slight little issue……………she doesn’t have any prospect and has not even been dating because she has been concentrating on her career. So just a small issue to game plan for this one.
After a false start Violet learns from her best friend Abigail that her older brother, Ross, is in need of a serious girlfriend. It seems that if Violet and Ross can figure out how to not kill each other they might be able to come to an arrangement and both get what they want. There is only one slight issue with this plan in that Ross and Violet have been arch nemesis’ since they were in high school.
I really liked My Big Fake Wedding as it was outrageous at some points and then thoughtful at others. The dialogue between Violet and Ross is hilariously witty as they have a one-liner battle to the death but with a lot of heated sexual tension. Add in the family dynamics and trying to convince their families and friends that they have “found each other” and you get a lot of hilarity and mayhem. Just think My Big Greek Wedding only with more adult themes.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
First of all, I read the reviews for this book before I purchased it and was not sure how to feel; some people can be mean. We all like different things, so I went for it anyways…. and I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved and adored this story. It was fun, witty, cute, extremely entertaining, and oh so sweet.
5 star review of My Big Fat Fake Wedding by Lauren Landish
AUDIO REVIEW:
I really enjoyed this story which was narrated by Carly Robins and Joe Arden who did a great job bringing the story to life for me.
This is an enemies to lovers story about Violet & Ross’s story and was an entertaining listen. The characters were easy to relate to and I found myself laughing out loud on numerous occasions, although there was also groaning and shaking my head as the story developed.
The banter and chemistry between them added an extra layer to the story of love and family and the lengths a person will go to make a loved one happy and protect them.
I did feel at times that it was a little over the top, but growing up with close friends who are Greek(yes I know this is an Italian family) I could relate to many of the scenes, particularly the ones with Nana.
My Big Fat Fake Wedding
By: Lauren Landish
Narrated by: Carly Robins, Joe Arden
What do you do when you HAVE to get married so your dying grandfather can walk you down the aisle? Violet finds herself in a bind. She has just broken up with her fiance, her wedding is 2 weeks away and her goal is to grant her ailing grandfather is wish of walking her down the aisle. Ross, her best friend’s brother, childhood nemesis and man she has crushed on is in need of a reputation lift. What the answer? Marry each other! These two are a perfect match! Violet is extreme, needs this to happen, so with this solution, she finds herself in more than just a fake marriage. Her true feelings are coming through, but does Ross feel the same? Ross is finding his playboy days are not as exciting as he thought as he begins his journey with Violet. Is this where he is supposed to be? It’s a frenemies to lovers story that accentuates family and their trials, relationship history which I absolutely love with flashbacks to their childhood that just make you cringe and smile at the antics and a love that can’t be broken. In true Landish style, the books is amazing and left me feeling good!
Carly Robins and Joe Arden are a perfect cast for this story. Robins has a young sounding voice, with that slightly emotional feel. Violet is definitely this person, full of that angsty personality, trying to make life perfect. With Arden as Ross, we have that strong business man, knowing what he wants and trying to get there. Arden hones in on the strength, the emotions and then gives the romantic side that softness. I loved the narration of this story!

Be warned – you might laugh so hard you either cry or pee your pants , just saying . Violet and Ross used to hate each other in high school and they aren’t that fond of each other now . They both need help Ross needs a girlfriend and Violet needs a fake marriage for her Papa . Soon feeling get involved but can these two really love each other .
“Though stories and movies tell us otherwise, love is not a fire. Sure, it flares up, and yes, it can have passions that don’t get talked about a lot within the walls of a church. But there are also tough times, and low times, and sad times. Love is about walking through the fires together, withstanding the rain together, breathing in the present together, and creating a foundation for the future together. And that takes hard work”
I’m telling you this is an amazing romantic comedy . You will not regret reading it .
As a huge fan of Lauren, I was a little skeptical about this one. But, I was surprised at how great this book is. Goes to show Lauren can never disappoint. This book was funny, romantic, emotional and more. I really enjoyed it and I loved the story. Another great book to add too my collection.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Great book
Ever since she was a little girl, Violet has dreamed about her wedding and her grandpa walking her down the aisle. Now that she’s an adult and her grandpa is having heart issues, Violet will do whatever it takes to make that dream a reality.
Abi has been Violet’s best friend since they were little girls and has watched her big brother Ross and Violet fight for all of that time. Abi sees chemistry between the two but that’s not how they see it. When their father gives Ross a stern talking to about his playboy status and how it’s affecting the family business, Abi sees this as the perfect opportunity to finally get Violet & Ross together under the guise of a fake relationship and a marriage of convenience.
Will the two finally realize they are meant to be together or will the plan fall apart causing them both to lose everything?
Oh holy hotness Batman! Yes PLEASE! Everything from the cover to the hilarious, sexy, heart tugging plot is sheer perfection. The ultimate escape from reality. Can I crawl into this book and live with these characters please? YUM
I completely related to the characters in this book and a lot of time, I was cracking up with the things that were said or the reactions to situations. Very good book – read in 1 day.
What a lovely contemporary romance. Ross loses his egotistical ways very quickly, I admit to not liking him much at the beginning of the story. Violet is tough and family orientated, a very likeable heroine with some great friends.
As you can imagine all their great intentions lead to chaos! But happily love prevails.
If you enjoy a steamy story and romance you will enjoy this book.
Loved the characters and the families!
