Never have I ever kissed my best friend’s brother… FALSE!
He is a high-profile CEO.
He is my best friend’s big brother.
He is absolutely “pinky swear type” forbidden.
And he totally hates me.
BUT he is the only one I can turn to for help.
Add a little blackmail to get that help and voila.
Now, I guess he hates me twice as much.
He thinks I’m a frilly dumb blonde wrapped in pink.
And on the … pink.
And on the right track to destroy my multi-billion empire.
Well, time to prove him all wrong.
And show him who can also be a boss.
The only problem?
Documents are spilling.
Sparks are flying.
And a kiss is the result.
I know.
I just crossed a line I should never have.
And he still hates me.
Annnnd, I might also end up losing my best friend.
But for some odd reason, I just cannot stop kissing him.
How long can I keep this a secret before everything blows up on me?

My Best Friend’s Forbidden Brother (Heartbreakers Book 2) by Lindsey Hart is such an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I loved reading and can not wait for the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Suddenly thrust into the responsibility of managing her family’s hotel empire, our heroine turns to her friends for help, who in turn enlist her secret crush. And while he outwardly shows nothing but disdain, he harbors a secret of his own.
This is a contemporary romance with a sort of enemies to lovers theme? Hard to categorize it exactly, so why bother. The story is well written and generally easy to read and a well developed cast of characters. I really like our heroine and her circle of friends as they are all kind and supportive. Unfortunately, I struggled with the hero as he tended to be rude and dismissive throughout the story. I kept waiting for him to turn into someone I liked and it just never happened. Your mileage may vary. Overall, it was a good story, but I question our heroine’s choice.
Recommended.

Aria and Lucas have been dancing around their true feelings for 15 years. Aria took a huge gamble of possibly losing one of her best friends by giving in to her feelings…but the reward was sweeter than the risk. Not sure if I would’ve been so graphic in telling Cassie tho!! Never a dull moment with these two!! What’s in store for Cassie?? Can’t wait to find out!!

Aria and Lucas have never gotten along. Lucas thinks she’s a spoiled princess that gets everything she wants. Aria avoids Lucas because she’s attracted to him but promised her best friend she’d stay away from him. When she needs help with the family business she begs her best friend to get Lucas to help her. Sparks fly between them as they start working together. Lucas wouldn’t be there if he hasn’t be forced by his sister but the money was good so he was staying. Aria surprised him by having a masters in business and really wanting to learn. When they both let their guards down they really get to know each other and see there’s more to the other than the originally thought. When thing get heated one day and they give into each other neither thinks beyond the moment. What will happen between them now? Will her friendship end? Can she have something more with Lucas?
This is an amazing story that will hook you with the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

My Best Friend’s Forbidden Brother is a funny, quick witted romantic comedy of two people who can’t stand each other to realized their true feeling , but will it hurt her relationship with her friend? Aria and Lucas’s story is full pain, hurt, heat, and passion as they find comfort in each other and open up to each other.
Aria is a strong, independent women that to anyone else it looks like nothing bother, but to her best friends they truly know her or do they? Lucas is smart in business, loves his family and will do almost anything for them, almost. The tension between the characters is so strong that it can be felt even if they were on opposite sides of the room. As Aria and Lucas start to work together, the chemistry between them beings to burn as they open up to each other and reviled deep hidden secrets.
This book will pull you in as you go on a wild ride of Aria and Lucas’s journey to find their HEA.

This well written book focuses on the wonderful story of Aria, who has secretly been in love with Lucas for years, and Lucas, the off limits brother of one of her best friends. Aria gets her best friend to talk her brother into helping her with the hotels that she has inherited. Aria has always been in love with Lucas. Lucas always thought she was a spoiled brat. Even though he didn’t want to help her he was persuaded. Their road to their HEA was full of disappointment, hard work lots of bedroom time. Fun and interesting read

Confront your issues it saves you time…
I came into this novel with a great sense that it would be an amazing journey. I have that feeling because I have read novels by this author before but this time it just didn’t hit right. The first thing I noted was that the blurb stated the H was a CEO and he wasn’t he was basically an accountant/head of finances on a freelance kind of deal.
Lucas is the step-brother of Cassie is working for the family business in the finance department. Due to knack with numbers he has made quite a name for himself. Cassie has 2 best friends but one of them spent more time with her family than the other and that was Aria. For no specific reason other than she was his step-sister’s best friend and that, “she was always around”, he couldn’t stand her. Every word was derogatory against her character because he refused to acknowledge her for who she really is. This is a two sided coin because can you really what’s real when observing shadows and when your own perspective is skewed due to your own biases?
Aira is the type of woman that men would give their life for. Aria has a gorgeous face, tight body, hot rides and money to burn. Aria has had to learn to master the game to shield herself from people getting to know the real Aria within. It’s easy to do and yet she’s been doing it for so long everything is superficial to the point that she compares so many of the aspects of her life with one dream man in mind. In order to be near him she asks for his help on running her grandfather’s business but it’s been an uphill battle from the beginning.
What I can say about this novel is that he had the good makings for a great love story. All of the pieces were there but so much was missing. I had frame but there was no progressive building from one level to the next. All of the characters focused on character flaws but never character building. A lot of the time it was more important to be right than to be helpful. In all of that there was never any real resolutions just glossing over and for the H never had a coming to himself and acknowledging who he really is as a man. The insecurities, uncertainties, lack of self awareness led to multiple pages of dialogue in some areas that dragged the novel out some and made it a challenge finish.

Secret Passions
While 29-year-old Arabella Watson never wanted to be handed the management of her family’s hotel empire, she knew that one day she would not have a choice if she was to honor her grandfather and to that end she secretly prepared herself. But when her grandfather, without notice to anyone, “retired” from the family business after eloping to Vegas with a girl 7 years younger than Aria, she knew that the undesired moment had come. And, she had no hope of anyone helping her in shouldering the challenge—her parents had long ago checked out of responsibilities—even to their only child—so as the only heir of the worldwide hotel empire, the burden was on her.
With her own unique style—always attired in pink—she moved forward as she always did, knowing that while she was on her own, she had 2 friends who were closer than family and on whom she could depend—Rin and Cassie. Best friends since they were all shipped off to boarding school by parents who did not have time to be parents, the three girls, now beautiful and talented women, always work to support each other, affirming each other’s inner strength and vision. So, with confidence of her support, Aria turned to Cassie for help, not that Cassie herself could help, but she could convince/threaten her stepbrother Lucas Dawson to share his renowned business acumen with Aria to help her at least identify how to approach picking up the reins of control after her grandfather’s unexpected departure as CEO. But there are 2 problems with Aria’s request for Lucas’ help. The first problem is that everyone knows that Lucas can’t tolerate his sweet stepsister’s friend, “Impossibella”. The second problem is one that no one knows, not even Cassie or Rin—Arabella has a secret and profound crush on Lucas which has impacted every male relationship that she has had since first meeting Lucas 17 years earlier.
When Cassie approaches her brother (after Aria begged and pleaded), she realizes that she has only one chance to convince him to help her friend—to remind him of a secret that the two step-siblings have shared for 15 years—under his watch while their parents were out of town, Lucas’ neglect of duty almost led to Cassie’s death. Now, in desperation to help her friend, Cassie leans on her brother with the threat of his past follies being revealed. So, Lucas acquiesces to his sister’s threat and agrees to consult with Aria for a limited time—10-14 days. The problem that Lucas doesn’t want to acknowledge even to himself is that while he has little patience with Princess Aria whom he believes to be a vain airhead, he has never seen a woman more beautiful and desirable than Arabella.
Lindsay Hart once more exams and crushes some of society’s misconceptions of how a woman should act, look and love. Hart lets the readers fully appreciate the criticisms she hurls at a society that forces false values and images on women. She offers the perfect comeback to the false patterns which society, and sometime family, impose on the individual.

This book was a great romantic comedy. Lucas Dawson and Aria Watson were fantastic characters. Aria’s best friend is Cassie. Cassie has a step-brother named Lucas and since the age of fourteen Aria has had a crush on him. Lucas is hot and is high-profile. And he HATES Aria. He thinks she is a spoiled brat…which she kind of is. Aria needs someone with alot of business experience to help her with a business deal. Aria talks Cassie into asking her brother for a favor. At first, Lucas flat out refuses. Then he agrees to help for ten days only. At first all they do is argue and the next thing you know they kiss. But before anything more happens, they snap back to reality. Can the best thing that has ever happened to you also be a mistake?
This is the second book in the Heartbreakers series. I enjoyed this one even more than the first one. Enemies to lovers is the main premise. It wasn’t a overly long read, but it was a emotional rollercoaster. The emotions of each character were well expressed in ways the reader could connect with. It was a really good read.

I very much enjoyed this great book. Aria is an amazing woman, she shows herself as someone totally different then she actually is. Lucas thinks he can’t stand Aria, that’s totally not what he really feels.
