Thrilled and excited about her chance to finally prove herself, Elisa is so absorbed in her work she doesn’t hear the blizzard warning that sends the rest of her crew home.
Jewelry Artisan Duncan Grimwood had a reputation of being a playboy until the motorcycle accident that left him damaged inside and out. After a year of recuperating, Duncan has withdrawn from his lavish lifestyle and now lives like a hermit ignoring his family and the terms of his inheritance trust.
Worried that Duncan will lose his portion of the Grimwood estate, his personal assistant urges him to re-enter the real world by hosting a holiday gala at the manor to display his latest works. He agrees on the condition that nobody disturbs him while he works to finish his last few pieces.
Snowed in for the weekend with his unexpected guest, Duncan is forced out of his cave. Will the beautiful decorator he’s stuck with help him find a new respect for life before he loses everything?
My Beastly Billionaire is the first in the Grimwood Legacy Series.
Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone in any order, however, it is recommended, for the best reading experience, that you read them in order.

I liked this rendition of the beast because Duncan is not much of a beast. He & Elsie has issues at the first but soon work things out. Of course, there is a witch-like woman too that causes problems. All in all, it is very well done.
Can Elisa bring back Duncan from the darkness that surround him since his bike accident? Duncan is been hiding from the world in their family mansion when a snow storm hits town. A design company is just decorating the Mansion for an upcoming party and Elisa, one of the workers, is trapped in the house. They will have the chance to help each other face life with God help and find happiness.
My Beastly Billionaire is a well-crafted first book of The Grimwood Legacy Series. As a Michigander, I enjoyed the wintery setting and being snowed in at the Grimwood Mansion during a blizzard. I appreciated how Jackie Castle incorporated her Madison Creek, Michigan setting through Elisa. A quest to earn an inheritance, the Grimwood mansion, magnificent created nature inspired jewelry, Duncan Grimwood a broken man, Elisa Lucken a damsel in distress, and an evil “witch” conniving boss are the fairy tale elements that made this an enjoyable adaptation of the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast.
My Beastly Billionaire is an wonderful, clean, Christian romance from Jackie Castle. I loved Elisa and Duncan. They are great characters. This is the first book in a new series and I cannot wait to read the next one. Elisa ends up snowed in with Duncan – who was not to be disturbed under any circumstances. Elisa’s boss is the perfect villain. There are several plot twists and developments before the happy ending. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
I picked this book up through Kindle Unlimited because I really enjoy fairy tale retellings. When I saw that this story was based on my favorite fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast, I knew I had to read it. I am so glad I did! This book was fabulous! Although similiar to the Beauty and the Beast plot, it was also very much its own realistic story.
I was impressed with the way the author created the situation that Elisa and Duncan ended up in. Duncan was definitely beastly when Elisa met him for the first time. He had a great back story, making him someone that I could relate to, knowing of his pain and struggles, even when he was being less than gracious to Elisa initially.
The chemistry between Duncan and Elisa was absolutely perfect. I loved the way things developed between them and the fact that there was a very clear faith thread throughout the book. This novel was extremely clean, while still providing a great love story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I’m very impressed. I look forward to reading more in the series.
I read this book through KU and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I think I am in love this book pulled me in and did not let go until the last page. Elisa Lucken and Duncan Grimwood’s story is well written, I was not putting this book down until I had finished reading it. I do know I should not have started this book at bedtime! I want to read the next book. I recommend this book.
I enjoyed this story. Duncan makes a huge mistake and is paying for it. He is depressed and angry and in pain. When Elise gets snowed in at his mansion while decorating he is so aggravated he scares her in his anger. But, when he realizes how horrible he acted and begins to spend time with her, he starts to get back his faith in God and realizes he is redeemable. He hopes this is something that will grow and give him a chance with Elise.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this story, but I was actually very pleasantly surprised by this story!
While it did have a bit of a “Beauty and the Beast” air, I really enjoyed the more faith based turn that the story took. I loved seeing Elisa’s faith in action and watching her quiet manner of faith bring Duncan back to his own faith. I liked how both Elisa and Duncan worked together and how their relationship seemed to be a natural progression. I found that I liked Duncan’s flawed nature, and how much of a better person he was thanks to Eliza’s influence. I also liked how this series wasn’t really tied into the Madison Creek series. Madison Creek was only mentioned once, and I felt that it was just a nod to that previous series.
I’m eager to see each of the Grimwood siblings get their own story!
Elisa shows such grace to all she comes in contact with no matter how hateful or cruel. Duncan starts out beastly but Elisa changes all that. A really sweet, faith based romance with some angst. Great start to this series. Looking forward to book 2 and hopefully seeing Elisa and Duncan again.
I love that his reasons for being grumpy are clear and that he cuts that out right away.
I love that their shared faith allowed them to trust each other even when they had reason to doubt.
I can’t wait for the next in the series!
