Thirty. Single. And apparently a pig parent in a custody battle…Olivia “Ollie” Steele isn’t expecting to take care of the pet pig her ex boyfriend randomly leaves behind, but when a handsome, green eyed stranger comes by demanding custody, she absolutely refuses to let go of her new pink pal. Never mind that she lives in a downtown city apartment or that she’s not sure if pigs are on the … sure if pigs are on the approved pet list. Her stubbornness causes the two of them to start an unusual friendship. Before either has a chance to overthink the many, many reasons why they shouldn’t fall in love, they do.
Can these two opposites make it work or will Ollie end up exactly where she started?

Xavier Neal has managed to write a story that is funny, and adorable, and very sexy, and even has a farm animal as an important character. I wasn’t sure it would even be my kind of story, but she hooked me. A story in which the characters – Olivia (Ollie) and Ford — are brought together because of a pig, well a hog actually (but you can’t tell Ollie that), and because their exes dumped them for each other. Ollie sees herself as a nerd; she’s a graphic designer for a video game company. Ford, who owns a brewery, sees her as anything but. They are complete opposites, but boy do they attract.
I love the way this author tells a story. If you’ve never read one of Xavier Neal’s books, start with this one, and go from there. You won’t be disappointed.
It’s a fun and heartwarming story. It will suck you in from the beginning with its humorous and steamy story as it gives you all the FEELS. You will love the characters. I loved the connection and banter between the characters. The chemistry is off the charts. It’s an entertaining read.
Such a sweet & adorable read! I loved Ford & his straight forwardness. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Loved this story from Xavier! Runt and Ollie are the perfect couple that met by accident – and all because of one little hog. Their instant connection felt genuine and had me hoping that nothing would come in between them. But when something did, like it always does, their love was already so strong that they made it thorough. Cannot wait to start the next book!
This book was so much fun to read. What a weird set of events to happen for a chance meeting. My favorite line is, “He is it. I used to think people who said that kind of sh*t were high or in serious denial on how life actually works. Now? Now I’ve realized it’s just not something that happens to everyone , but I’m glad as hell it’s happened to me… Or from the sound of it. Us.”
I honestly can say I really enjoyed this 1st book and I think it’s a real great book starter for The series.so we have established that ollie is mine and so is Princess Pinkie . Ford(Runt) is one of my favore Shaw brothers so far next to the oldest brother William Jr so far but I only go to meet him for a few minutes. Oh we need more!!!!!!!!
This book was fun and enjoyable. I loved every minute of this book. The story and characters were both great. Must Love Hogs was different read for it was funny and enjoyable for the author did not disappoint with the characters and the story.
** I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book **
When reading a Xavier Neal book, you cannot be surprised when you find a strong family involved. This series looks to be another hit that has a quirky no restraint or filter on what they say family. Love Ford’s parents by the way. Ford and Ollie may meet in an unconventional way but their story will have you smile. Expect to laugh and fall in love with your new book family.
Ollie is an amazing artist and helps design video games for a small company. She is smart, sexy, fun and sassy at all times. She just became a hog mom because of her ex boyfriend. Someone shows up at her place though claiming the hog is his. Will these two become more than just co-parents?
Ford had gotten burned from his ex fiance one too many times and now his hog is in the hands of someone else. What is he to do??
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves this author. It was an amazing book.
This story!!!!! Omgosh!!!!! Soooooo AHHHHMAZING!!!!!! Xavier Neal is an amazing author with God given talent!!!!! If you haven’t one clicked this book yet, WHAT IN THE H*LL ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?!?!?
this book is hilarious. and makes you fall in love with Ollie and Ford.
Ford has been in a rut with the same girl for years till she leaves him and he meets Ollie to get his pig back.
Ollie has a low self-esteem and is not used to being the center of attention.
Than they meet and its a slow process of falling in love and into bed. But its sweet and makes you want a man like Ford.
I love the characters and the scenes that draws you in and keeps you reading till the end. Love her books
Must Love Hogs by Xavier Neal is book #1 in the brand new Must Love series. I love, love, loved this book. This is a beautiful and emotional romance about two people that have been burned by love. You will be blown away by this book. It has such a unique plot, wonderful characters and will engage all your emotions. Ford and Ollie have such chemistry and their romance is truly sweet, beautiful and very sexy. Princess Piggy is beyond adorable and adds so much to this story. Book also features a cast of entertaining secondary characters. I can not recommend this book enough. If you love a sexy and fun romance this is the book for you. I can’t wait to see what happens in future books in this series.
Really enjoyed the humor in this book.. I truly love the writings of Xavier Neal as she always keeps me entertained with her books and the characters just keep you going. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did..
Funny love story! Great chemistry among the characters! Definitely a book that I would recommend for
Anyone who likes the romance comedy genre.
What a great book! Ford and Ollie are brilliant characters, their relationship although it didn’t start in a conventional way is amazing. It was wonderful to see this two grow into their own and see how their lives were changing and becoming better. This book has it all, a little angst, love, friendship, humour, banter….like I said it’s got it all! Xavier is a fabulous author, I’ve been reading her books for a while now and I can see her writing developing even more with every book. Xavier has a way to suck you into the story and make you feel you are there.
I want a Hog! Oh my gosh! This is the book to read! This story was funny and sweet! The time line of a real relationship is true to life! Her ex dumped her with a hog and skipped out. He gave the hog, to his ex and she skipped out! Becoming hog parents brought them together! Xavier Neal wrote the perfect story!
The story follows Ford Shaw and Ollie, who both become hog parents, by accident. This was a very sweet and endearing story. I adore Ms. Neal’s storytelling, the way she can paint vivid pictures of the characters, her stories always seem to flow effortlessly. She has a way of sucking you into a story from the get go. This story was an easy read, it was linear and was not rushed. You could feel the character’s growing attractions, you felt their heartaches and their triumph’s. This story arc was believable and without hiccups. I enjoyed the slow build of the Ford and Ollie’s relationship, their struggles were the same that we all face. The chemistry was palpable and you could not help but root for these two. Their story was sweet without being sugary and fake. I would highly recommend this book. Once again, Ms. Neal proves how strong her storytelling truly is
What a delicious read. I enjoyed the journey of these two characters. Beautiful, sexy, and what every relationship should strive to be. So much fun taking a ride with these characters. Would have given 5 stars but for a few grammatical errors and the heroine becoming stupid for a few. You’ll enjoy this engaging tale.
This story starts you out with some good humor and just brings it throughout! I really have enjoyed every one of Xavier Neal’s stories, and this is no exception. Not as heavy as some have been, this is the perfect “light”, sexy read!
