Katy and her grandmother have always used coffee to catch ghosts. It pays the bills and keeps them in high-end beans. But after her grandmother dies and a rival ghost hunter moves to town, Katy fears things will never be the same.
She’s right.
From a beguiling and charismatic ghost whisperer to her new partner’s ghost swallowing brother and even a (short) stint behind bars, Katy navigates her … Katy navigates her new reality, uncertain her skills are equal to the tasks at hand. But are these things mere distractions–or do they hide something darker, far more sinister, something that has a long-held vendetta against Katy?
To survive, Katy must uncover an ancient secret. She must brew her very best Kona blend. She will need to rely on unexpected and unpredictable allies.
To survive, she will need to trust what’s in her heart.

Fun read with interesting twist on ghosts and ghost-catchers. Coffee and tea anyone? I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I love this series!!! Katy and he grandmother catch ghosts with coffee – so very different. Malcolm is the new ghost catcher in town and he uses coffee. There are sparks flying between Kay and Malcolm but you will have to read this book to find if they are good or bad.
What a great story! I can’t wait to get the rest of the books and read them!!! A new favorite for me!! I just couldn’t put the first season down until the end. Must add to your TBR list!
It was a fun book. Granted, the short story chapters threw me for the first couple but after I realized they were written to be mini episodes/adventures I loved it. The main characters are fun and funny without being over the top dramatic, heroic or in-love. The neighbor as a sort of sidekick was a nice twist. Definitely would read more of this series and if it did get turned into a show, I’d definitely watch.
A very enjoyable ghost story! Katy thinks she knows everything there is to know about ghosts, since she was trained by her grandmother since she was six and has been catching ghosts most of her life. She finds out she still had a lot to learn, not only about ghosts, but also relationships. Her education makes for an interesting and enjoyable story.
This is a delightful quirky collection of the adventures of a pretty miss named Katy, who as a result of an inherited skill has a unique job. She eradicates ghosts! She doesn’t kill them like Ghost Busters, that would be too inhumane; she just takes them out and turns them loose like you would a forest creature that has invaded your home. Warning! There is some danger involved and inexperienced people should not try this! In case of emergency make more coffee which they love. A fun read for younger readers as well. Thank you Charity!
For young readers maybe,. Did not finish reading!

I started to say it was unpredictable but that was not quite true as the formula was predictable. But nevertheless less I found it refreshing and engaging.
The way the book is written in “episodes” is a very interesting concept. The characters are very likable with a fast paced story. I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to reading the rest in the series.
This book is written as a collected group of serial short stories. Which does cause some repetition at the beginning of each short story.
As a reader, I’d have preferred more background before the main character is on her own. I know the current method of writing is to skip it and jump as close to the end of the story as possible before beginning. The problem is, sometimes, this leads to appearing as if solutions occur with cause. And in serials, you can’t always go back and add in the clues you need to.
I would recommend this novel for the younger reader.
It’s a different kind of ghost story. Very inventive.
It was a cute, fun read
A fun book of stories.
Loved this series
Cute but silly. Character development could have been much better.
fun read
Not a page turner, but fun
Pretty good
This book is ok, but not great by my terms.
