Can an idealistic dog lover teach a jaded hockey player new tricks? “Kelly Jamieson is an auto-buy for me.”—Carly PhillipsLilly: My life is like the love child of a train wreck and a dumpster fire right now. Then a dog at the park attacks my friend’s dog. At first, I’m ready to give the owner hell—but it turns out he’s in desperate need of doggie daycare. I figure, why not? I love dogs and I need the cash.

Easton: My coach is riding my ass and I’m not handling it well. When I’m saddled with an abandoned pooch, my teammate thinks a dog will keep my temper in check. I think I have enough problems already.
But when my new dog gets into a tussle that leads me to meet a smoking hot chick who knows how to handle the rascal, I start to think pet ownership isn’t all bad. At least it gives me an excuse to see Lilly again. . . .
Neither of us are interested in a relationship. First they steal your bed, then they steal your heart. And I’m not talking about the dog.

Loved Must Love Dogs…and Hockey!! Lily & Easton are just the cutest & watching their love story unfold was so sweet…. and sexy!!
Kelly Jamieson is a favorite author of mine & Must Love Dogs…and Hockey was one of my favorites.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Kelly Jamieson is off to a victorious start with the first book in the Bears Hockey series, MUST LOVE DOGS…AND HOCKEY. This is hockey player Easton Millar and dog walker Lilly Evans story. It is appropriate for adult readers. It primarily takes place in New York.
Kelly Jamieson does a fantastic job with her character development. I love Easton’s character. He suffered a great tragedy in his past that still affects him. I respected how he rescued Otis. Lilly is an admirable heroine. She has great principles. I like that she stands up for what she believes in. Both characters have issues that cause them not to want to rely on another person. I like that they grew and learned to trust one another. I am an animal lover, so I appreciated that they both love dogs.
I enjoyed the story. There are a lot of compelling things that happen throughout the novel. This is a story that made me laugh and cry. I recommend this book to people who love dogs and hockey. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I am a huge fan of Kelly Jamieson’s hockey series and I am sooooo excited that she is writing another one! MUST LOVE DOGS….AND HOCKEY is the first book in the BEARS HOCKEY SERIES, and let me tell you we are off to a great start!
Lilly is having a tough go of things at the moment, she lost her job and her boyfriend but she’s trying hard to turn things around for herself by walking dogs to help make the bills. I admire Lilly for doing what she has to do in order to keep a roof over her head, most in her predicament would go and live with their parents and wallow for a while.
Easton, now this man instantly melted my heart and you will understand why when you read the book and find out how Easton became the hero to an abandoned puppy. Easton has been through a lot in his life and not all of it was fun and games. There is a seriousness to him because of his past but it also makes him want to live in the now.
Lilly and Easton have an intense first meeting but it’s quickly lightened up. Actually the majority of this book is on the lighter side which is refreshing right now. I loved the slow build between Easton and Lilly before things got hot and heavy, and their banter had me laughing out loud constantly.
Kelly Jamieson is my go to for hockey romances and if you enjoy Hockey Romances as much as I do I highly recommend this book to you.
Happy Reading!!!
Need a book with witty female lead, snarky banter, and a hockey romance, and just in case that wasn’t enough to get you interest there is the cutest most rambunctious pup named Otis.
A random chance meeting for Lilly and Easton while each was walking a pup leads to a love story filled with laughter and Otis. Their instant chemistry sparks from the pages. You are engaged from that first encounter. Plus, there is Otis. Neither of them was searching for a relationship and Lilly put up some serious roadblocks.
While Easton due to a tragedy in his past has a hard time letting people in it was great to see him push past Lilly’s roadblocks and let himself be present with her. His interactions with Otis are why dogs are amazing. Otis was able to help Easton open up not just to Lilly but also to his teammates.
Fun fast sexy read with great banter and Otis make this a 4/5 read for me. The storyline is fast and fun with the bonus of hockey and Otis. Did I mention Otis? This sweet pup really steals the show in the book. I just adored him. If you love romance with a cute pup and hockey this is a great read for you!
I absolutely loved this story, as it combines some of my favorite things, hockey and dogs! The chemistry between Easton and Lilly was off the charts!
Their pasts have not been kind to them, both Lilly and Easton are just surviving right now. A chance run-in morphs into a tenuous friendship between the two. Lilly is adamant that she is just there to take care of Otis, but slowly Easton begins to chip away at her resolve. As the two spend time together with Easton’s dog, they realize that sharing a bed might not be a hardship. Neither is looking for a relationship, but they can’t deny their attraction to each other, but when Easton is faced with a difficult decision will he cling to Lilly or push her away?
I’m really hoping that this book will turn into a series with the ending that we were left with! I didn’t feel like it was incomplete by any means but definitely has me wondering if there could be more! Kelly Jamieson is one of my favorite hockey authors, and this book just solidified that even more! From beginning to end I was pulled into the story and didn’t want to put it down. The back and forth not only between Lilly and Easton, but also Easton and his fellow hockey players was hilarious. I really enjoyed Easton and Lilly and how they supported each other and what they wanted. Absolutely amazing story, and I’m definitely hoping for more!
This has the perfect start to a meet-cute that when it happens, I was swooning. The story is funny with sweetness and lots of steam to keep you going. I loved Lilly and even though it took me a little while, I also warmed up to Easton. The story flows so well and there was no way I couldn’t be invested in the characters. It also helps that the dog just brings everything together.
We have a new team! Meet the New York Bears! A great first in series! Hot Hockey players and sweet dogs??? Yes please!
Ms Jamieson’s heroes are not perfect men, they come with flaws and vulnerabilities, yet are strong and confident. Her heroines are strong and independent, yet soft and sweet. They always compliment each other well. Easton and Lily are no different. They are perfect for each other! The characters have a refreshing maturity to them. They share friendship, fun, banter, romance and heat.
But if I’m being honest, Otis is the real star of this book. He stole my heart right from the first minute we meet him. Just like our hero and heroine, he has his flaws, but with love is working through them. I’m hoping we get some guest appearances from Otis in future books in the series.
I’m really looking forward to the next book. Going back to the beginning and seeing what the Hellers have been up to. Bring on Josh!

From the very first page of this book I knew I was in for a Heartwarming story.
Lilly Evans is a woman down on her luck, standing up for what she believes in she sets out to make her life better, and what she finds is that taking care of dogs might just be the reason. What she never expects is meeting Easton Millar in the most unconventional way.
Easton Millar is a Hockey Player for the New York Bears but he also is a man who has a lot of loss in his life and it has left a lingering painful effect on it. But what he never expects is that one day can change it all when he meets the fun loving Lilly Evans.
Easton & Lilly are two people trying to navigate through their own issues but together they are actually great for one another and the one canine that could bring them even closer is the absolutely adorable Otis. They will have to overcome some heartbreaking moments but their are so many heartwarming moments that they have that they just might find a HEA they both truly deserve.
This book is just everything! Timely, with issues that are dealt with so well, and don’t detract from the romance but enhance it! And the romance is just so special! Also, there’s mention of my favorite author, Harlan Coben, so what’s not to love? I can’t wait for more of this series!
This was an amazing start to this brand new series! I was pulled in to this story from the first page and it kept my attention throughout. I adored Lilly and Easton and their dynamic and chemistry was perfect. This hockey romance has it all, it’s sweet, sexy, funny, and even a cute dog. A wonderful read and one I highly recommend.
This was a fantastic start to the New York City Bears Hockey series! Kelly Jamieson always brings it, but she swept me away with this hockey romance. And Otis absolutely charmed me, as well as stealing the entire show. Written with such warmth and filled with emotion. So palpable her characters sneak into your heart and stay for a long time. A great book to lift your spirit and entertain and touch your soul. You don’t want to miss this one!

I love dogs, hockey and this story!
This author’s hockey reads are terrific so a new series had me at the front of the queue. Otis, Lilly, and Easton were the perfect mix of love that we all need more of…
Not sure who rescued who but Otis was the center of Lilly’s and Easton’s relationship. Lilly was funny and positive even as she wrestled with money problems and an overwhelming need to not disappoint those she cared about. Easton was trying to keep his head down, not wanting to lose any more than he already had. When teammates, and Lilly, point out what could make him improve himself (and his life) he still wasn’t afraid to man up…
Waffling between business-like and friendly friends was funny and sweet in turn as the puppy opened up Easton’s eyes to what he was missing and Lilly realized men (Easton of course!) could be the one who stayed… Flirty banter, lots of doggy talk and a whole lot of soul-searching had them falling in love… Whether there were problems on and off the ice, family struggles or wrestling with their own sense of right and wrong, they were each other’s sounding board and moral compass… If uncertainty could tear them apart, maybe honesty could fix it all.
Full of emotion and understated drama, this was a great story full of romance and all the puppy love! If you didn’t love dogs and hockey before, I think this will change your mind…

This is the 1st on a new series and what a fantastic beginning this story is. When Lilly spills the beans on a business scam, she gets fired from her job, and she starts a dog walking business just to try to make end meet, which develops into a doggy day-care business. Easter is a professional hockey player who rescues a dog called Otis from a potential accident, and now he needs someone to help take care of his dog. Lilly and Eaton meet, and he hires her and as they get to know each other better, they come to depend on each other and help one another out. This is a beautifully written tale which is filled with heartbreak, betrayal, loss, witty banter, and is heartfelt. sweet, humorous, and moving story which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more in this fascinating series and highly recommend for all.
This is my second experience reading a book by Kelly Jamieson and can I say they just keep getting better?! Of course since the subject matter is dogs and hockey, there was no way she could go wrong.
Easton is a fantasmical Hockey player but he has ghosts from his past that weigh heavy on his mind and spirit. His temper has gotten him in trouble and he needs to stay clear and focused. Relationships are not on his radar.
Lilly is the classic optimist. Always looking for the silver lining, problem solver, and an enthusiastic worker/go-getter. She has been struck down many times in her life but has always struggled to raise herself back up.
Easton has acquired a dog and not in the conventional way. Lilly is looking for a job and quite literally bumps into Easton while they are both walking a dog. Easton is on the road a lot, Lilly needs to earn a living and an idea is born – a dog walking service.
Of course, something else may be brewing as well – feelings.
I am hoping that there will be more from these characters, possibly in stories of supporting characters!

Fun, sweet, steamy romance.
Hockey and dogs! What more could you want?!? Easton and Lilly have a meet cute…sort of…except for the whole dog attacking part (sounds worse than it was). Lilly is trying to get her life back on track after a couple of failed employment attempts and Easton feels saddled with a new dog that he can’t control. Lilly and Otis are a match made in heaven…so are Otis and Easton and Lilly and Easton eventually.
This book was witty, funny, fawesome, AND a timely statement on social issues. I really enjoyed this book…I found myself smiling the longer I read and although there are some bumps in the road – you have to hope it will work out for Otis as well as Lilly and Easton…lol. The dog is the star of the book (in case you can’t tell!).
“…You always…make me feel better…It’s just…you.” “I know what he’s saying because I feel the same. It’s…him. Something about him and me, together, that makes me happy and satisfied.”
This book was real as well as entertaining. Looking forward to more!
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
I loved everything about this book. The characters had great chemistry, there is hockey and of course, dogs!
Easton is a professional hockey player and quickly becomes the caretaker of an adorable dog named, Otis. He runs into Lilly and offers her a job to watch Otis while he is gone for games or to take Otis out for walks. Lilly is in need of the money and the recommendation for her new dog walking business so she takes him up on his offer.
They have a business relationship, however, there is an attraction between them that they can both feel. Easton also is falling in love with Otis and loves having him around. I loved seeing their relationship progress from just business to something more. I love how some tough issues were tackled throughout this story and how both Easton and Lilly handled them.
This is a great introduction to a whole new hockey team, as well and I can’t wait to get to know more about some of the other Bears players!
Must Love Dogs…and Hockey is a fun, adorable hockey romance that has some depth to it. A MUST READ!
*I received an arc from Netgalley & publisher for an honest review*. Kelly Jamieson is an amazing author & what a wonderful book!! It gives you all the feels. Lilly is currently unemployed due to unfortunate circumstances & was walking her friends dog when Easton, professional hockey player, was walking his new dog Otis (dog was abandoned in his apartment building) when the two dogs have a scuffle. He ends up hiring her to dog sit for him & helps her in setting up her own dog walking business. They become close, getting to know each other through Otis but both have their issues about relationships. Easton has a heartbreaking story (won’t spoil it) that will make you cry. She stands up for what is right despite it hurting her career & she encourages him to do the same (again no spoilers). You will love both of these characters & the adorable Otis. This book takes you on their journey with the wonderful supporting secondary characters to get their HEA. I highly recommend this book!!
5 ‘Otis’ shaped stars.
Must Love Dogs… And Hockey is the brand new series ‘Bears Hockey’ by Kelly Jamieson. This book gave me the most heart-warming feels and smiles for days. It features a sexy, grumpy hockey player- Easton Miller and down-on-her-luck dog walker Lilly Evans.
Easton is grumpy for several reasons, but the second he meets Lilly he feels better.
Lilly thinks Easton’s a big jerk, but she agrees to walk his cute little pouch. Otis is the start of this show, the pup is all kiss and dynamite reactions, and the way he came into Easton’s care brought a tear to my eyes.
Lilly and Easton both say a relationship isn’t on the cards but thanks to Otis, it’s not long before that’s exactly what they have.
I loved watching their relationship blossom and grow. These two were just the perfect match and so sweet and adorable together, whilst still igniting my kindle with their chemistry, sexy banter, and smexy times.
Must Love Dogs…and Hockey was a cute story. Easton and Lilly were a pleasant couple. I liked their meet cute and the instant attraction they had. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed as the story continued. Their banter and interactions were sweet. I also enjoyed the camaraderie between Lilly and her friends and Easton and his teammates. These characters were real and their situations were real and it made the story relatable. I also liked how they helped each other personally especially Lilly for Easton. Otis was adorable and added a specialness to the read. Overall this was a pleasant easy read.
