The final book of The Wrights series by New York Times bestselling author Skye Jordan, is here! Gypsy Wright knows how to run a kick ass bar on Nashville’s infamous Broadway. She knows how to raise a son on her own and how to set her priorities. But when her longtime frenemy, country music’s golden boy, Wyatt Jackson, needs her help, Gypsy doesn’t know how to say no. She could never have expected … have expected how easily the man she’d kept at arm’s length for so long could slip under her skin or into her heart. Or how quickly he could tear apart the world she’s so carefully built.
Wyatt and Gypsy have been side stepping the heat between them for years. He admires the hell out of her dedication to her son and her success, so when he’s faced with the unexpected duty of raising his five-year-old niece, Gypsy is the first person he goes to for help. When sparks finally ignite, they burn hotter than either of them ever expects, and with the futures of two kids, two demanding careers, and two hearts on the line, those flames risk reducing everything that matters to ashes.

My heart goes out to Belle, a 5-year-old that suddenly finds herself with only Uncle Wyatt as her dad. Wyatt never dreams of becoming his niece’s guardian, he has been so busy touring and building a successful career as a musician. He loves his niece but isn’t sure how to navigate this new world and blend it with his true passion. Gypsy looks forward to Wyatt’s visits at the bar when he is in town but she keeps him at a distance, just a friend. She has worked hard to build a life for her son Cooper and herself. She knows what it’s like to grow up without parents putting their children first so this is how she structures her life. When Wyatt needs a friend to help with Belle, she finds herself relaxing her walls and letting him in. I love how the relationship develops between Wyatt and Gypsy. Wyatt is dealing with guilt over the loss of his brother and then his sister-in-law’s leaving. He feels like he has been too wrapped up in his career. Gypsy has closed herself off from love and relationships but helping Wyatt causes her to open up that door. I was fully invested in this story.
Perfect end to a trilogy!
Must Be Wright is the final book in the trilogy and as always, Skye Jordan does not disappoint.
Wyatt Jackson’s world is turned upside down when he is left to take care of his niece. His life. His career are now up in the air because he has to figure out how to run a band and handle his new challenges within his family. So he turns to the one person he knows has a grasp of handling children, Gypsy Wright.
Gypsy is a single mother and is known for her hard work and dedication to her job and child, Cooper. She has her priorities straight, and all the extra disctractions due to her job are just
not worth her time.
I love stories that bring in a strong single parent. Gypsy manages to run a business and still be an amazing mom. When Wyatt storms through her life, she has to find a way to put the child first while holding off an attraction to someone who doesn’t fit into her plan!
Skye Jordan does it perfectly and creates another great story with the right amount of emotion.
I loved this heart warming romance between Gypsy and Wyatt. I loved the pace of the story and the characters. These characters are well developed and so well written. I am so happy that Gypsy finally got her own story.
Gypsy is one tough woman, a single Mom running her own business, she doesn’t have time for dating and romance, but then Wyatt comes back to town and does his best to charm her. They have always had chemistry but had never acted on it, they instead chose to remain just friends since both have their own careers and Wyatt is always traveling.
Raising a kid was the last thing on Wyatts mind but things change fast, and his niece needs him in her life, he just never knew how much she needed him. He has been so full of guilt over his brothers suicide that he never really thought about his young niece needing him so much, I mean she has always had his parents and her own Mom. Who would think that one birthday party could change his world so much?
This one is a true tear jerker so keep some tissues close. I laughed, I cried and yes I got mad too. When a book can bring out so many emotions in me then I consider it a really good book.
If you love a great love story and a book that will take you away from your own world for a while then this one is a must have.
What a fantastic end to this series. We’ve seen glimpses of the chemistry between Wyatt and Gypsy and this book didn’t disappoint with the storyline. We get appearances by the other siblings which is nice to tie in everything. I just love the way Skye tells a story! Cant wait for any future works by her.

The final book in The Wrights series was a total chart-topper for me. Wyatt has had my attention since the first time he stepped on page in this series, but the moment he said, “Game on.”, I was a goner. For three years the singer has been hanging around with a great sense of humor and a willingness to make things easier for Gypsy. Watching these two dance around their feelings was fun, but the care Wyatt showed for Gypsy, Cooper, and Belle during such difficult times absolutely upped his swoon factor to astronomical levels. I love that they’re both caretakers (even when they question/fight/doubt their instincts) and saw past each others’ walls. Without a doubt, Gypsy & Wyatt are officially my favorite couple from this series and I’m going to miss their little family.
Trope: Friends to Lovers
Favorite quote: “It’s something. It’s been something for a long damn time. Stop trying to talk yourself out of it. This is right, Gypsy”.
Loved this third and final book in The Wrights series! Gypsy and Wyatt were great together as friends and spectacular once she finally gave into her feelings for him. This story is fun, steamy, heartwrenching at times – I was drawn in from beginning to end.
I have struggled to read a book in ages, but when this one turned up on my Kindle, I dove right in and loved every minute of it. Gypsy and Wyatt were just great together. I loved how Gypsy put her son first and knew what she wanted to do with her life, and when she and Wyatt were together, you just knew they cared so much about one another. I loved their bantering and they way they looked out for each other when times were tough. I’m going to miss this family. The Wright siblings were great to read about.
5 Taking the Leap Stars!!!
I absolutely, positively LOVED this last book in this amazing series by Skye Jordan!! There’s something about books with single parents in them that I gravitate towards and Ms. Jordan has done an exceptional job of writing a book that is not only a single parent book but one filled with love, dedication, the right level of angst, some guilt and delicious slow burn.
Wyatt and Gypsy have known each other for a long time and their friendship is deep and abiding and as much as she wants to explore the feelings she has for this amazing man, her first and foremost thought that drives her each day is her son Cooper. Add in the fact that Wyatt is a country music star and she’s not willing to risk her heart to this man. For his part, Wyatt is determined to make her his but then his life changes literally overnight and he’s just not sure what to do with himself because he never thought about having to raise a beautiful little girl named Belle.
I love the tension between our H/h and how their friendship was at the forefront of their minds. Wyatt always seems to be in the right place at the right time where Gypsy is concerned, whether it’s helping to find someone to help at her very popular bar or bartending to give her a break! I loved Wyatt and how he loved the people in his life. Especially Belle and her innocence and intelligence. But there’s a level of guilt that Wyatt lives with and it broke my heart. There was one scene in particular that I pretty much bawled through. Ms. Jordan definitely knows how to grab a reader’s heart and make it weep!
As we move through the book we see how Gypsy and Wyatt’s friendship changes and grows into something more. There’s several moments when I wasn’t sure they’d make it. I’m so happy that we get to see the struggles Wyatt experiences when becoming a single parent. It’s not glossed over at all…it’s a struggle to raise kids that are planned for let alone those that are dropped in your lap. I have so much respect for him taking this on and admitting to Gypsy he’s not sure he can do it…but being the woman she is, she has a way of calming him down but also not letting him get away with stuff that has an impact on her and Cooper’s plans!
This is a quick moving book and kept me engaged and giving me all the feels. I loved both Cooper and Belle as much as Gypsy and Wyatt. There were moments that I wanted to hit someone upside the head, but that’s because they just didn’t know better!! Ms. Jordan has given us a couple and family that I’m truly going to miss since this is the last book in this series. I’m hoping someday we’ll get to visit with them again!
Okay, confession time. I have a habit–good? bad? the jury’s still out, because it can go either way–of seeing a book on offer that’s either 1) a continuation of a series I like and/or 2) by an author I like and just clicking on it without even taking the slightest glance at the synopsis. So when the time comes that I pick up the book to read, I’m starting cold with just the barest hint (or sometimes not even) what it’s going to be about.
Must Be Wright is a prime example. Having and and enjoyed the first two books in the series ( Damn Wright and So Wright ), it was a given that I would volunteer to read the third. I mean, it’s Gypsy’s book! And the hero is (probably) going to be Wyatt! It’s a must read!
Which it was, truly. But my point is that I had no clue that Wyatt was going to end up a surprise parent to his five-year-old niece. (At least the blurb doesn’t tell you why…OMG, it’s a doozy) Going in, I had expected 50% less children of single parents than I got with this one. I’m not sorry for it, though–I’m just saying, I was a teensy bit…surprised.
Extra children aside (they’re not truly plot moppets, thank goodness!), Gypsy and Wyatt’s book was worth the wait, for all that it took me by surprise. As was obvious from the scenes we’d seen them in before, the chemistry between the two of them was fabulous, and clearly they manage to bring out the best in each other…eventually. Goodness, does it take us a while to get there! Actual years pass between Dylan’s book and this one…at least the readers didn’t have to wait that long! 😉
My only real issue with the book is how quickly everything manages to come together at the end. For a good 90%+ of the story, Gypsy can’t seem to get off of her I’m-putting-my-child-first-always-and-my-own-life-is-on-hold-indefinitely-and-no-thank-you-I-don’t-need-any-help-with-that pedestal (as a single parent, I get it–kind of. She takes it to a crazy extreme, IMHO), and Wyatt is somehow constantly managing to bumble his way into completely ruining some aspect of her life with his latest example of parental ineptitude. There is NO WAY she’s going to be together with him for real…until she changes her mind. Super quickly. After a convo with another character and a grand gesture.
I mean, it was super cute. But it felt a tad bit too easy after everything that went before it.
Still, I had a good time reading the book, and of course was all about Gypsy and Wyatt getting to their HEA at last. It’s a shame there are no more Wright siblings…
As mentioned, Must Be Wright is the third book in the series. It could work as a standalone, though–it’s several years after the second book, and pretty much everything you need to know about the Wright siblings’ complicated relationships (for this story, at least–it’s a much bigger issue in earlier books) is nicely summed up here.
Rating: 4 stars / B+
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Through the tears, cheers and facing of fears, the one constant that the Wright family radiates is love. So it hurts more than a little to say goodbye. Must Be Wright is not a swan song. Jordan makes it a celebration of family, a declaration of love and hope for the future. Love may not always be beautiful, but it always leaves it’s mark. Hidden in the heartache is a passion that never dies. Prepare to be tempted by the brilliant power of irresistible emotion.
5 Stars
Gypsy Wright has been tiptoeing her way around the growing feelings she has for country superstar Wyatt Jackson for years now. Every time the man is in town, he never fails to stop by her bar. These two have so much chemistry, I could feel it ooze from the pages. Must Be Wright is full of emotions and will seriously pull at your heartstrings. Wyatt’s niece Belle and Gypsy’s son Cooper just round out this amazing story, as well as the rest of the Wright clan. I’m sad to see this series end, I’ll definitely miss these guys.

Adding this to my favorite Skye Jordan collection- I adored Gypsy, Wyatt, Cooper, and Belle!
I’ll be honest, I didn’t really even read the blurb for Must Be Wright before I started it. I knew it was Gypsy and Wyatt’s story of course, and that Wyatt was a singer and Gypsy was a single mother who owned a bar, but that’s it. I had no idea how emotional it would be, and that there would be TEARS, so many tears. Ugh, this book!!! I loved it so much.
I don’t have kids of my own so sometimes books with children in “starring” roles- whether the mcs already have them or one of them wants to have them, can be hit or miss for me. But this one was a great big HIT! I adored Belle and my heart broke for this sweet little girl. She was so precious and so adorably precocious, I just wanted to hug her and protect her from heartache. Thankfully she had her uncle Wyatt there to take care of her. It was a learning curve for him, for sure. But I loved how he stepped up and shouldered the responsibility thrown at him.
I really enjoyed Gypsy and Wyatt’s relationship- their path from friends to lovers definitely worked for me. I liked how once things progressed between them there really wasn’t much hesitation on either side. Until Gypsy let herself second guess what she wanted, because of the way she had her life planned out. That was where my only frustration with this story fell- she didn’t leave herself, or anyone else really, any wiggle room to make mistakes or to just let life play out. Happily her walls didn’t stay up for long.
Must Be Wright is a wonderful love story that had me smiling, laughing, swooning, and crying. It’s one of my favorite books Ms. Jordan has written and I highly recommend it! I still need to go back and read Miranda’s book So Wright, the first book in this trilogy, so luckily I don’t have to say good-bye to these characters just yet. If you haven’t read the first 2 books I think you’d be okay starting here- especially if you’re a fan of single parent romances- you’ll get your fill with Gypsy & Cooper and Wyatt & Belle- prepare to fall in love with them all.
