You’re never too old to fall in love with a rock star. Or chase your dreams. Every girl dreams of dating a rock star–even a girl who just turned the Big 4-0. Is it the beard? The flannel? The guitar? Claire isn’t sure, but Jack is simply irresistible. Music was Jack’s first love. When life got in the way of him making it big as a singer/songwriter, he settled for teaching music–which included … teaching music–which included giving piano lessons to a certain stunning redhead named Claire.
He’s fallen head over heels for her–just in time for his big break to finally arrive. But do you ever really give up on your first love?

I loved this book. It is a great start to a new series by this author. This is a well written story that has characters that pop off the pages and into your heart. They are connectable and they easily pulled me into their story. They kept the story engaging and I love how the females are very strong and know what they want and how to get it. What happens when music is the only thing you love? Jack meets Claire and their is instant attraction. What will happen when Jack finally gets his big break but he has a strong love for Claire? This is where the story picks up and I couldn’t put it down. Their story is awesome and I highly recommend this must read book. You won’t regret picking up this book.
It always a pleasure when I read a book that is worth my time and I am happy to say this one of those books. The characters are great and the storyline has a great flow to it.

Music Man had me engrossed from the first page to the last.
K.L. Montgomery has hit my emotions many times but this one hit me even more. From happiness to love to anger the emotions were strong enough that I looked like I was talking to myself.
This is a DO NOT MISS book.
These characters pull us into their lives and never let go. Jack and Claire belong together, however, sometimes Fate feels the need to put obstacles in their way.

I first developed a crush on Claire in Fat Girl. As a blogger, she talked a lot about her very relateable struggles in many aspects of life. She said a lot of things that hit home with me, so I was very excited that we got more of her life with Jack in Music Man.
Jack has gotten an opportunity to do what he loves, performing. But it comes at a very poor time in his life. It’s a good thing he has such a strong woman in his corner cheering him on. But as life is known to do, these opportunities come with severe repercussions. He must find the right balance of singing, traveling, parenting, and maintaining his relationship with Claire.
Normally when I review, I do a summary of how I see the book. I’ve kept that vague because there is a lot is going on, and I think I would spoil it. While Claire has made great strides, she still struggles with some insecurities. It makes Claire even more relatable than she already was. I love the characters and the bonding the female characters experience even when they’re worried they won’t click. Nicely done.
