Some rules are meant to be broken. New York Times and USA Today Best Seller L. Wilder brings readers a new addition to the Satan’s Fury Memphis series. Murphy’s Law- Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. As Satan’s Fury’s sergeant-at-arms, it was my job to stay one step ahead. It was up to me to make sure the club was ready when things went awry. I had to anticipate our enemies’ every move … awry. I had to anticipate our enemies’ every move and plan accordingly. I couldn’t let Murphy’s Law bite me in the a*, so I created a set of rules to follow.
The club comes first.
Always have your brother’s back.
Don’t make promises you can’t keep.
Don’t buy into other people’s bullsht.
Never let your emotions rule you.
I thought they’d prepare me for anything, but I was wrong. Nothing could’ve prepared me for Riley Nichols–the farmer’s daughter with coal-black eyes and a fiery tongue. She took me by surprise, mesmerizing me with her strength and tempting me with her innocence.
I wanted to make her mine, but having her meant breaking my rules–every last one of them.
Murphy is book four of the Satan’s Fury MC- Memphis Chapter. While this book is a continuation of book 3, it can be read as a standalone. Murphy is a full-length novel which is intended for mature audiences only due to the explicit language and violence. Contains no cheating and a swoon-worthy HEA.

Okay, this book bowled me over. I don’t know how Leslie Wilder threw together everything I adore about a good MC romance in one snarly, emotional, hard riding package but…she did. Murphy brings unforgettable chemistry, thrills, and enough heat to make a Carolina Reaper jealous. Grab it today!
I enjoy this series and liked Murphy and Riley’s story very much. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
L.Wilder is incapable of writing a story that does not draw readers in from the first page and proves this with Murphy, the next book to join the Satan’s Fury Memphis series brotherhood!
Lincoln led a rough life full of disappointments and betrayals, defining himself by his “Road” name Murphy, a direct reference to the adage Murphy’s Law, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” This hero was cautious and surrounded himself with a self imposed wall around his heart that he frequently cracked open to perform acts of kindness in direct contrast to the role he played in the Satan Fury MC. Riley was a devoted daughter and sister willingly taking on responsibility in her family. The dynamic between Murphy and Riley went beyond the obvious heated attraction and built upon a foundation of real interest and mutual respect. This couple was not closed off to each other and did not fall prey to assumptions. Riley had no illusions of what Murphy was capable of and was able to see beyond his actions to the reasoning behind them. Murphy was able to feel vulnerable with the spirited independent Riley, something he had previously denied himself.
Ms. Wilder built the theme of this story well around the Murphy Law adage and events going south added to the suspense and action of this work nicely. This writer has the ability to identify with the bikers she portrays on a deeper level in her writing that makes them approachable to her readers. Some intense developments in the story added a kick of adrenaline to this work for some nail-biting moments.
Once again L. Wilder takes readers on a wild ride to true love with Murphy, a great addition to her Satan Fury’s MC series!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*
Murphy is a great addition to Satan’s Fury MC: Memphis #4. Murphy is the Sergeant At Arms for the club, Riley sweet litte country girl. They first see each other i Bar but never speak to each other. Few days later Riley finds out a big secret that her dad and brother are hiding from her, unexpectedly she sees Murphy again on the farm while he on cub business. They have instant connection and the banter between them makes there chemistry explosive. Loved how there story played out, So want to if they get a HEA, Well you have to ONE-CLICK NOW, A must read, Bring on the next one, Loved it Leslie
I loved this book. We finally find out what happened in the gun fight in Riggs book. And how Murphy dealt with everything. And why he is known for Murphys law.
This book is full of love, drama and laughter.
I couldn’t help but love the characters, because L Wilder brings them alive with her words.
I loved Murphy and Rhiley, they just fit together so well. And we got to see another side of Murphy brought out by her.
L Wilder done another amazing book.
I can’t wait for more.
I recommend this series, and book
Just like all this author’s other books. Fantastic read. I just live these boys. The story is not for the faint hearted. Bad things happen to good people. I can recommend This book absolutely
I’ve always loved Leslie Wilder’s books—each and every one of them. This series, Satan’s Fury MC-Memphis, is a spinoff that takes us across the country from Cotton, Stitch, and the rest of the Washington State chapter to another Satan’s Fury chapter located in, well, Memphis, Tennessee. Murphy is the fourth installment and it ROCKS!
First of all, let me just say that Leslie Wilder doesn’t sugarcoat anything in this spinoff series. Each installment is raw, has a bit more violence, and is sexy-as-hell with one common denominator: don’t f%#k with Satan’s Fury and those they love. The outlaw MC life is a tough one, and there’s a reason the Fury reign supreme in the South.
Murphy is the Memphis chapter’s sergeant-at-arms and takes his job seriously, always worrying and planning ahead when it comes to his club’s best interests. His road name even stems from Murphy’s Law: anything that can go wrong will go wrong. And so it does …
The last installment, Riggs, was a complete jaw-dropping, on-the-edge-of-your-seat, heart-wrenching story that although it wasn’t a cliffy, it needed, no, it deserved more of an explanation as to how the fallout effected the club. Leslie gives it to us with guns ablazin’, perfectly told from Murphy’s POV. Nothing breaks the bonds of the brotherhood of Satan’s Fury MC.
As I mentioned above, Murphy has his own set of laws and puts a lot of pressure on himself to keep them all in check, but if he thinks getting involved with someone and falling in love is one he’ll abide, he’s just wrong—so very wrong.
Enter Riley Nichols. Smart, pretty, sassy, and not very good at handling her Long Island iced teas. Riley lives with her dad and her brother, Hunter, on their horse-breeding farm. Her mom is gone, a cancer victim, and that fact plays a big part in the storyline. Along with expenses that come along with breeding horses, Riley’s dad had spent a fortune trying to get the best care for his wife, including experimental treatments—anything to make her healthy. I think it’s safe to say that any one of us in that position would move heaven and earth for our loved ones. Unfortunately, the bills that add up can easily became insurmountable, leaving a huge financial burden on those left behind.
Maybe selling illegal guns is a lucrative business for cartels, gangbangers, and MCs, but it sure isn’t the kind of trouble that an upstanding farm owner wants to get himself involved with. It’s because of this that Riley and Murphy meet. Boy, do things start to heat up between the two even though Riley’s dad has vehemently ordered his daughter to stay away from Murphy and his MC—Pfft! What twenty-four-year-old woman is going to listen anyway!
Things go wrong for Mr. Nichols. Very wrong. Murphy has told him from the very beginning how it could all go south. The MC isn’t the only buyer who Mr. Nichols is dealing with, but they’re the first call he makes for help when Riley goes missing. I guess good ol’ Mr. Nichols shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. After all, he himself is a walking contradiction.
So, as the situation goes from bad to worse, the results aren’t pretty, especially when Murphy’s girl, Riley, is in trouble and Satan’s Fury gets involved.
What. A. Story!! Like the others before it, this segment is also action packed, deeply heart felt, funny at times (the banter between club members is priceless!), with just enough steam. The whole cast of characters are brilliant, each adding so much depth to the storyline. I love that we still can enjoy the guys from the Washington chapter and how they interact with one another. It was so cool to “see” both chapter presidents, Cotton and Gus, taking care of business together.
~~When I walked in, I found Cotton and Gus having a drink. They were in a deep discussion and hadn’t noticed that I’d come into the room. I stood there for a moment, appreciating the fact that I was in the presence of two living legends as they sat there talking. They were both known for leading their clubs with an iron fist, neither of them backing down when faced with adversity. Instead, they faced it with strength and determination. They both had balls of steel, and never showed a moment’s hesitation when it came to protecting the brotherhood. There wasn’t a brother around who’d ever question their loyalty to the club, and I was grateful for the opportunity to work alongside them. When Gus noticed me standing in the doorway, he motioned me over and said, “Hey, brother. Come have a beer.” ~~
Murphy and Riley are great together. I love when a female lead is strong yet understanding of her role within the MC world. These two truly compliment each other and I‘m glad Murphy’s laws cracked enough, allowing him to get the girl! Phenomenal read!! Five stars for me!!!!!
I simply cannot get enough of L. Wilder’s bikers! Murphy takes that love to a whole new level with how fantastic it is. All sorts of seriously swoony romance that still contains that rough grit of the MC world and a good dose of suspense that keeps you on your toes waiting to see what’s to come this book is one you won’t be able to put down. I was hooked immediately and quickly absolutely in love with all things Murphy and Riley!
A sweet, smart and kindhearted farm girl seems like the complete opposite of a bad@#$ biker like Murphy but these two go together like peanut butter and jelly. Well, if peanut butter and jelly had electric chemistry that left you fanning yourself and falling head over heels that is. The attraction between them is instant and the pull undeniable. Despite any resistance it was clear from the get go these two were meant to be. As always with L. Wilder’s brilliant writing there’s as much action to keep you hooked as there is romance and I found myself pulled even deeper into their story by it. There’s not one moment of this book that I didn’t love!
As will all of Leslie Wilder’s books this one was terrific. I loved Murphy and Riley’s story. I loved Murphy’s honesty and dedication to his club. He was such a strong sexy character. Another great addition to the Satan’s Fury books.
Another great installment into the Satan’s Fury world and I can’t get enough! I was really excited to finally find out about Murphy and why he ended up with the MC, and his story did not disappoint. I also really enjoyed Riley’s character, where her family makes bad decisions but she always maintains her ground and feelings despite it being her family. When Riley’s family’s decisions end up putting her in serious danger, while they weren’t supportive of her relationship at first, they know that the only one to save her is Murphy. Overall, great world and character building and the flow of the storyline were perfect. Can’t wait for the next installment in this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series of the Memphis chapter, and is Murphy and Riley’s tale. Murphy has had a tough life, and betrayal has defined him to the man he is. Riley is a college student who grew up on a horse farm, and when she is home quickly realises that things are complicated and all is not as it seems. This is a beautifully written story which is a slow burn love story. I was totally intrigued and captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
I love love love this authors books she really draws me into the story and has me wanting more from the characters . And wow have you seen the cover just hotness over load so saw the hero as the cover model . Murphy’s childhood was messed up and the girl he loved tore his world apart when he surprised her after coming home from training in the military. So 10 yrs later he’s a member in the Satan’s Fury. Then he met Riley when he and some of their brothers go to meet her father about guns. She doesn’t approve of what her father is doing but she does understand why. It was a big loss to them when she lost her mom to cancer, and the bills started adding up. Now Riley is in danger and Murphy is there to help. HEA.
Murphy, the Sgt-At-Arms for the Satan’s Fury MC received his roadname because of his belief in Murphy’s Law: Anything that can go wrong will.
Murphy has long believed that love is a myth, after both his mother and former fiance taught him that love was a joke and not worth the risk of being hurt again. Riley is young and busy. She recently lost her mother to cancer, and then found that her Dad was not making good decisions with their horse farm and side business he should never have gotten into.
Riley and Murphy have a sweet meet-cute, but Murphy decides if they get involved he’ll only end up hurting her. Little does he know Riley will end up needing his help, or the threat to her could very well be life threatening.
A fun, sexy trip back to visit the brother’s of Satan’s Fury, with a beautiful HEA for Riley and Murphy!
I am a dedicated Satan’s Fury fan, and have been since the beginning. The next installment in the Memphis Chapter of Satan’s Fury DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Wilder has a way of twisting the plot so you don’t know what to expect, which is definitely something that keeps me coming back for more. Murphy is the no-nonsense Sargeant-at-arms for his club, which means he will not let anything distract him from protecting his family. Enter Riley. Sexy, feisty and innocent farmer’s daughter. Everything Murphy has put into place to control his surroundings starts to waiver once he meets Riley. This is a sweet, sexy story of love, war and opening the heart. You can totally read this as a standalone novel, but I promise you, you will want to read the entire Satan’s Fury series! Wilder has a way with words that leaves you breathless waiting for the next installment!
Wow! When I started this book I thought, “oh, this is different from the other Satan’s Fury books.” I thought it wasn’t going to have the suspense and intensity of the others.
But boy was I wrong! This starts slower than some of the others because L. takes the time to set the stage so you understand where both the hero and heroine are coming from, then thin action and intrigue get started. This is a great book and keeps you guessing.
This is another great read in a fantastic series! I adore Murphy and Riley, they click, and have a great connection. He’s strong, and loyal, she’s smart, a little sassy and doesn’t back down. I shed some tears, I smiled and I devoured everything about it. I loved this book and I’m addicted to these guys in this series. I’m always looking forward to what is next to come.
Wow I loved this story!!! Riley has such an amazing personality. Loved her backbone and toughness but at same time, has a soft sweet side. Murphy is just an incredible person and I fell inlove with him right off the bat. This story had so many emotions and feelings as I read it and kept me there the whole way through!!!!
Another fantastic read! Murphy has a particular set of rules. Rules he has lived by for a long time…… and then Riley comes along and razes them to the ground!
Sergeant-at-arms of the Satan’s Fury MC-Memphis, Murphy is a tough man with no intention of ever allowing love into his well-ordered, albeit illegal, life. While on a gun purchase he encounters the seller’s daughter and is captivated. 19yo Riley is just starting college and helping on the family’s horse farm when she discovers that her father has been brokering gun deals to pay off the family’s debt. She accidentally meets Murphy and is attracted to him. However, her father’s dealings also include an inner city gang who is not so understanding when the shipment is delayed. Although Riley’s father does not approve of her relationship with Murphy, he has no choice but to turn to the Satan’s Fury when things go south. This is a quick story but is fast paced, action packed and has some steamy moments. It’s not necessary to read prior books in the series first but it is more enjoyable. Great job by the narration team.
I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
