Jo Ravens is thirty-two, divorced, and stuck in a rut. She wants two things in life — a new career as a private investigator and to lose the sixty pounds she packed on after her divorce.
When she crashes her nephew’s bike in a construction site, she lands on a girl with a large knife in her chest. Jo enlists her sister Pepper and journalist friend Jackie to help solve the girl’s murder. Things … murder. Things become creepy for Jo when the girl appears to her in dreams and offers unusual clues to her death.
Murder Under Construction is a humorous mystery with Jo’s family adding to the antics of the three women. Mama caterwauls, Jackie’s two children offer sleuthing assistance, and her brother Hank laughs at all of them from the sidelines.

Enjoyed this book will read more by this author.
Piece of fluff, but better than a lot.
After reading this book I immediately turned around and got the 2nd book
available.
so many antics, it was great.
Great book. Will have you in stitches!
This is a very funny murder mystery with great characters. However, I found the many, many scatological comments throughout its pages more than I needed or wanted to know.
I liked the book and would read another on the series.
Just not that interesting
Really enjoyed the main characters. Exciting, and interest built throughout. Suspense grew as the amateur, soon to be real, PI got closer and closer to solving the case. Ready for next in series!
Another Stephanie Plum but more down to earth.
what fun. I enjoyed this book so much. Great characters and lots of thrills and laughs.
I started this book, but did not finish it. I didn’t care for all the sexual innuendos. I would not recommend it.
It was a fun read.
Good mystery with humor.
The book was engaging and funny with a mystery thrown in. It kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. I highly recommend this book.
Great writing. He gets you hooked then take you for a ride that’s smooth yet thrilling.
Kept my interest through out the story. Interesting ending.
First time I read this author and will not again. She worked too hard to be funny and it was not. I had to make myself read it to the end. Also the murderer was easy to to determine early in the book. Plot wasn’t ok.
It was my first book by this author so I wasn’t sure,
but when I read it I loved it.
Good book! Good mix of mystery, suspense, a bit of comedy,…
