With her teenaged daughter’s birthday on the horizon and the town’s autumn festival in full swing, Emerald has her hands full with party preparations and teashop specials. But a request from her friend Jimbo has her using her abilities to look into the disappearance of his friend. In the woods surrounding the Klickavail Valley enclave, Emerald senses a strange energy manifesting itself-before … literally stumbling across the body of Jimbo’s friend. While the police are willing to blame the death on a cougar attack, Emerald knows there’s something else wandering the forest-something that resembles the Klakatat monster of legend, but may actually be a monster of a more human kind.

Instead of unpredictable, I’d say her plots are unexpected. The characters are well developed, the plot carries the reader along. I would highly recommend this author.
Nice use of lore. Emerald and other characters well drawn and believable
Interesting characters and kept reading as the story was so inviting. Enjoyable murder mystery with romance on the side. looking forward to next book
Intriguing story. The lore keeper is an interesting character. I always like a novel that tickles the thought process about the universe.
Wow, what a fantastic read! A cozy mystery that contains a Native American legend. I couldn’t put it down until I had finshed. Yasmine has become one of my favorite authors.
weird
This book was about a man with many secrets who uses the bigfoot legend to keep people away from finding a cache of money from a long ago robbery committed by a man who lived in the woods outside a small town.
Do not read this kind of book much, but this one is really good.
Emerald O’Brien is full of action in this mystery/romance/paranormal novel. Book three of this series has a diverse set of characters that you will love or not. Plenty of heartfelt emotion. Ever heard of the Klakatat monster? Read this you won’t be disappointed.
A good read
Loved it
I’m not particularly fond of the whole sensitive thing. It wasn’t totally out there. And it was entertaining, and there was romance,
Enjoyed it very much.
I love this author and did not realize I had already read another of her books. This one has an amazing story with Indian lore and of course murder added in. Along with that is a single Mom making it on her own with two almost teenagers. And, add the romantic story that is written with respect and dignity, and I loved it!
Very good cozy, I thoroughly enjoyed this read…
Meh…
I enjoy this series. This plot was a bit too far out there, but…..came together better than I expected in the end. Great characters.
This is a great series a short one but worth reading all the books. Loved it.
Loved it. Very nice cozy mystery.
Did not hold my attention.
