Researching for the Ginger Gold Mysteries has been so much fun. I hope you sense that as you read. Ginger Gold is smart, savvy, and delightful. The fashions, the dances, the CRIME. The character of Haley Higgins, a medical student at the London Medical School for Women allows me to further delve into another keen interest of mine: forensics. Never fear, the Ginger Gold Mysteries are COZY, so no scary, graphic on-stage violence. You’ll find these books to be clean reads, with no swearing or sex. I hope you enjoy the Ginger Gold Mystery series!

I loved reading this fun E Book.
Enjoyable, quick read and light mystery. I enjoyed Ginger’s calm in the face of problems. She was rather amusing and I could imagine her entertaining in a detective type tv series. Not sure she really could have gotten away with everything in reality but it was fun to see her do it in my mind’s eye. Even though the book is a murder mystery it was not graphic or dark in nature. Lots of time is spent in food and clothing descriptions. I suppose because Ginger loves clothes but it got to be a bit much at times.
I would read more in the series.
I would call this a Cozy Mystery. I quite enjoyed it. One of those satisfying story lines with lovable characters. Who doesn’t like a Good Who Done It?
A great beginning to an exciting cozy series. A historical mystery with roots in both America and England. Characters that reoccur in subsequent books. Start here first.
It was OK but not memorable.
Beautiful, light, fast paced mystery. Captured the spirit of the age with a satisfying climax.
This is the first time I’ve read anything by this author. It was an interesting read but not my cup of tea.
enjoyed the book because it was set in the time between WWI and WWII before passenger air travel and people had to traverse the oceans by large ships. The fact that one of the women characters is a sleuth made it very entertaining, and she had a female companion who helped her with forensics. It was certainly a different world than the cruise ships of the present.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book
I’ve enjoy MURDER ON THE SS ROSA, as well as other Lee Strauss books in this series. Very enjoyable.
I do not over analyze fiction but since this was supposed to be historical fiction involving a British lady, I thought the main character took a lot of liberties that would not have been acceptable for ladies of that era. Still an interesting story but the asynchronous behavior ruined the story for me.
Enjoyable quick read. Interesting setting and time period. Light and fun.
Fun light reading
The book is an easy read with lots of suspects. The anachronistic language bothered me at times. There is clearly going to be a sequel, and perhaps a love interest will develop. I’ve read better mysteries, but for light reading this is fine.
I really enjoyed the read.
Enjoyable period piece
Clever Story with good characters-need to read more by this author.
Interesting murder mystery
One of my most favorite series!
Just a fun, quick, easy to read mystery — entiirely predictable — but, would be a fun vacation read, especially if a cruise ship is on your futur.
