After lots of really messed up things happening to Ruby, but some good things too, she ends up investigating the murder to get her started on being a journalist.
I really liked Ruby and Jen so much! The rest of the characters too, especially Bartholomew, the dead guys cat that Ruby ended up with. What a smart kitty! I’m sure the rest of the series will be just as fantastic as this book was!

Fun, enjoyable read with likeable , except one , quirky characters. Ruby is checking out a wedding venue and gets involved in a murder. Her credit cards are frozen, her bank account is emptied and she’s stuck in the small town of Holyfield . The story flows smoothly, and as is the norm with cozies, Ruby is sleuthing to figure out murderer. Loved the ending. Cannot wait to read more by this author

The author has given us a group of characters that have allowed us to enter their lives. This story has a plot and a subplot going on. The murderer is well hidden within the story, although that is what keeps you turning the pages.
