My name is Megan and I have a knack for two things: discovering dead bodies and uncovering secrets.
I don’t go looking for dead friends and neighbours. They just show up.
Like when my best friend and I are on our way to lunch, and stumble across Jill Plumb’s dead body.
Jill’s death was no accident. It was murder. Untangling the mystery of her death unravels a string of secrets that were never … secrets that were never meant to be revealed.
One of these secrets cost Jill her life, but which one?
With a little help from my friends, I’m determined to find out, and get Jill’s killer off the streets of my sweet, cozy town before they kill again.
Stitches are like clues, individually they don’t look like much, but look at a bunch of them together and suddenly you have a sock… or a killer.
The ebook includes a link to a free knitting pattern at the end of the book

This is a great series! Megan is the main character in this series. Her friends and all of the other characters are all fun! Megan has a knack of somehow getting involved with dead bodies being found. This time it’s happened again. Megan does a little snooping of her own and discovers a lot of secrets around town. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was easy to listen to.
This review is for the audio book.
I loved this book and think the series just gets better and better the more you get to know the wonderful characters. This is book three and you don’t need to read or listen to the books in order as each book is a standalone mystery but why would want to miss out on laughs, twists, romance, adventure, pets and murder? Everything you want from a great cozy mystery series. The mystery was interesting and I liked the way the author kept you guessing over the reason behind the motive and with so many suspects I kept changing my mind, I think I might have even suspected someone who wasn’t even a suspect at one point. I like the small town feel of the book, the way everybody know everyone and is willing to help there neighbours. Also the knitting shop is a nice change for a job but don’t worry Megan is to busy solving a murder to confuse you with knit one pearl one. The story is broken up with some light hearted animal antics, not to mention the reason the body was found and in some great characters and you are in to a winner. I can’t wait for the next book.
Living in a small town has it advantages like when a dog is found running around in the streets, someone is going to know who he belongs to. That someone is Megan the owner of the Notorious Knitting shop who is just in her way out for lunch and has plenty of time to return him back to her elderly owner. Rather than dropping him off and leaving, Megan offers to wash his dirty paws out back and in doing so stumbles over the cold dead body of one of the elderly priests careers. Who would want Jill dead? The property developer who wants the elderly man to sell his house and the man Jill chased out of the house? Or was the motive more personal? And her husband believed the rumours about her affair? Then only clue is a bag full of money and an elderly man’s ramblings about a bad man. Can Megan stitch the clues together and find the killer?
I liked the narrator. She really helped to bring the story to Life by giving the characters some great voices.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I loved this story. The mystery was very well written – it read like untangling a mess of yarn, each twist and turn kept me guessing. The characters are wonderful and it really feels like a visit with friends. This can be read as a stand-alone but read the whole series. I know you won’t be disappointed! I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Murder & Merino was a great read. There were many twists and turns about what was happening in Harmony Lake. It had me guessing throughout the book trying to figure out who the murderer was. I had a few ideas but the more I read I couldn’t decide. Reading through the story, it told a little about the lives of the characters; about Jill, Vanessa, the relationship between Megan and Adam and Megan and Eric. The relationships in this book were believable. The camaraderie was outstanding; how they had each other’s back. To me, it showed genuine friendship and the love they shared for each other. I also liked the portrayal of Adam in the book; making him a decent guy who was willing to help Megan and all the folks.
I received this book as a beta reader for an honest opinion.
Im enjoying this series very much.
