Funny characters and easy read.
Ok, but the humor got old and wasn’t all that believable. I just skimmed that last few chapters so I could get on with Dee Henderson’s latest book.
This was a great romp through a whodunit. The main character was likeable and funny, and there was enough stuff going on to keep me entertained throughout. I’ll admit that I figured out who the killer was in the first few chapters, but that didn’t detract from the book.
This is a great read for lazy winter evenings by the fire, or sultry summer afternoons by the beach! Great plot, engaging characters, believable story. Take this one off the shelf and into your hands.

Not an interest holder
I enjoyed the characters, witty but seemed to drag on a bit.
This is a mellow who-done-it with fun characters and humor. Light reading, though the ending was less surprising than two of this series that I’d already read.
It was ridiculous. Characters unrealistic. Tedious. I will not read another book by that author.

I really enjoy the humor in these mysteries. I love the relationship between the two detectives and their barbs at each other.
Much improved from ‘Murder under the Christmas Tree. ‘ Plot moved along, insipid neighbor subplot was much reduced as were references to their girths.

Agatha Christie.

I like Steve Demaree’s books because I can count on humor, a little mystery and clean writing. His books are fun to read.
I like cozy mysteries by various authors. I really appreciate being introduced to Demaree’s books. I have recommended his books to our local library.
