Maggie Newberry is an advertising copywriter who’s fast on her feet and a little stunned to realize that she’s over 30 and still hasn’t found true love. When her long missing sister ends up dead, Maggie flies to the south of France to find the little niece that no one in the family even knew existed. Along the way, she finds handsome, sexy Frenchman Laurent Dernier to help search for the girl. … Meanwhile, her sister’s murderer sets his sights on the little girl—and Maggie.
(Alors: Laurent’s classic boeuf en daube recipe at the end of the book!)

Not particularly well written, characters a bit far fetched
This looks to be an entertaining series.
Liked a lot
Kept me engaged to the very end.
Loved the setting of the book and the inclusion of French cooking and language.
I loved it. Read another one in the series, of course out of order, explained a few things.
I enjoyed the fact that the character had her own problems and met them with courage. There were enough hints that I was entertained and unsure of outcome until the end!
Excellent story with twists and turns!
A great book to read on holiday or travelling.
Loved this book
Disliked. Quit after 50 pages
Loved having imperfect characters. Her love interest has a shady background and I didn’t guess whodunnit. Love this series.
Great who dun it?
I found this book rather hard to read because I don’t speak French. I skipped over the French words with no knowledge of what they meant. Other than that, it was an enjoyable read.
I found the “leading man” self-absorbed. The whole idea of Maggie falling in love with him was hard to believe.
Great characters, very unique plot, excellent settings.
Thougjt I was in Paris!
Love Maggie and Laurant!
I thought this book was just okay, nothing special, but worth reading.
Predictable and not, good reading tho
