This is the first delightful book of the Maggie Newberry Mystery series. I found it to be highly entertaining to read and a great who-done-it!!! The characters are believable and the authors descriptions make you feel like you’re really in Cannes. As you can tell, I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to start on the second one.
Loved this book
I absolutely enjoyed reading this very entertaining book. I feel like I have been to France myself because this author made you feel & see everything as if you were there. Very intriguing story. I highly recommend this book!

Fun, entertaining book.
I enjoyed this book, I did not guess the ending. It was surprise!
excellent visit to France!! Love this book as the start of a unique series, American heroine in France, and an unlikely romance with a difficult, moody Frenchman.
The characters and storyline work their way into your subconscious daily thoughts making you want to drop the workday and head for your favorite chair and this book to see where the next chapter will take you!
Perfect for the plane tripover
Enjoyed. Kept my interest.
This is the pre-quell to the stories I have already read, yet Laurent and Maggie in the later books take on a completely different persona. I now know Laurent’s background or at least pieces of his enigmatic history. Maggie’s life and adventures in France are much more enticing to read, however, a little more ang 30% of the book is a look at …
It was fun! We had just returned from Provance and some things were familiar.
Enjoyed the French cuisine references! Although not very detailed in her descriptions, I was able to conjure up images of the historical sites and local culture in France.
I’m looking forward to starting the next book in this series. The characters were compelling and I really enjoyed the unexpected turns this storyline took.
Great characters in this book, that you want to keep reading about. Didn’t see that coming surprise ending. You will want to get all the books in the series.
Murder in the South of France by Susan Kieran Lewis was a roller-coaster ride of emotion. Maggie goes to France to identify her sister’s body and bring her home. The mystery surrounding her sister’s death is filled with lies, suspects, and mistaken identities. Great characters, tight plot, fast-paced.
Murder in the South of France was written by Susan Kiernan-Lewis. This is an action-packed thriller with the sister of a murder victim becoming an amateur sleuth, she has a passionate desire to find the killer and bring them to justice.
There are many interesting characters in this story, we see Maggie, who is the sister who travels to France to …
This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be reading more of hers.
I am undecided. I am going to read another book in this series before I pass judgement.
