I thought the book was well written. The plot was interesting and kept evolving with twists and turns so you really did not know how it would turn out. The top Character Maggie was unfortunately was not too believable. She went into danger where only fools would tread.
She had a six month old baby but it did not stop her from going into danger which she knew was dangerous. It was unbelievable she would do the things she did with no thought to anyone else weather it hurt them or not. Seemed she was like a spoiled child who could do anything she wanted with no thought to the outcome or who it might hurt. It was well written, except for Maggie, so I gave it 5 stars.
LOVE this series – Maggie is a great character, as are Grace and Laurent. The stories are always interesting and keep you reading, and this one is no different. Only criticism I have: she had a 6-month old doing some things that no six-month old I’ve ever known was capable of, even a couple of VERY advanced-for-their age babies. But I probably only noticed because I happened to be babysitting my 9-month old grandson at the time. lol.
Love following Maggie and her husband Great love story with mystery thrown in
Except for the heroine and her children, most of the characters were mysterious and unlikeable. Lots of secrets. I loved learning about the Latin Quarter of Paris.
Was disappointed that they used French words at times with no explanation of what they meant. Liked it otherwise.
I enjoyed this book so much that when I started reading, I kept on until I had completed the entire book!
I would recommend this as very entertaining reading!
The plot was a bit complicated but intriguing. I enjoyed the descriptions of life and customs in France. I have read earlier volumes in this series and enjoyed them, although I felt that Maggie’s friend Grace was acting a bit out of character. Worth reading,
I love the Latin Quarter so the setting was great for me!
