Georgie Kaye lives every day as if it were a gift, because to her it is. She beat cancer, against all predictions, and is following her life’s dream to draw portraits of the fur babies of the world. When Georgie and her twin sister Aleta arrive at an art gallery that wants to show Georgie’s work, they schmooze with donors, charm the artists, and overindulge at the sweets table. Everything is …
Everything is working perfectly in their favor, until an owner of the gallery is killed.
Georgie must help solve the mystery before the opportunity to have her first art show disappears.
Working with Aleta and her detective ex-husband Stan, Georgie sleuths her way to the answers, running into unexpected twists along the way.
This is Book 1 in a brand new series, Pet Portraits Cozy Mysteries, and includes recipes!

Entertaining book to pass the time on a hot summer day.
I read everything I come across with these characters. I think they are all so fun and I enjoy the stories
kind of boring
Loved it
Loved the fact that the “Leading Ladies” were well over 18 years of age. A nice summer’s read for any age. Fun, interesting characters throughout — both two and four legged. Proof that life does go on and thrives after thirty.
It was ok, and if memory serves, a clean read. The story was good enough that my only real dislike was the cover art.
The sisters related well (that was nice), and the police were intelligent and capable for a change. The story was reasonably interesting too, though I guessed ‘who done it’ right off. The humor was refreshingly not thrust in your face, and I did laugh out loud a time or two. I couldn’t help but wonder, though, how those two women could constantly be eating all those delicious sugar concoctions and not be 300 pounds or more, and sick besides!
Hated it. Too many recipes, no actual construction of a mystery. Characters undefined.
This was a pleasant read, characters (sisters) were entertaining and for me made me think of my best friend.
cute characters cute story
Just started reading. So far find it interesting
Entertaining
Lightweight but pleasant book. Perfect for travel or beach
Light, easy to read & fun Cozy!
I like the Sisters going to every thing
Things done by 60+ women unusual. One is still connected with police inspector still on the job. He sounds much younger and she acts afraid of his opinions but goes and does what she wants anyhow. Not terribly interesting.
Easy, light reading. I found it somewhat entertaining but pretty unbelievable. George bumbles her way through a police investigation without repercussion and seems to always stumble on the right people and clues to solve the mystery. Not a series that I will be following.
Your basic cozy – nothing exceptional but a decent afternoon’s read.
Read for yourself and enjoy like I did!
I could see people I know in the characters.
Very nice for a cozy..characters solid
