Georgie Kaye lives every day as if it were a gift, because to her it is. She beat cancer, against all predictions, and is following her life’s dream to draw portraits of the fur babies of the world. When Georgie and her twin sister Aleta arrive at an art gallery that wants to show Georgie’s work, they schmooze with donors, charm the artists, and overindulge at the sweets table. Everything is …
Everything is working perfectly in their favor, until an owner of the gallery is killed.
Georgie must help solve the mystery before the opportunity to have her first art show disappears.
Working with Aleta and her detective ex-husband Stan, Georgie sleuths her way to the answers, running into unexpected twists along the way.
This is Book 1 in a brand new series, Pet Portraits Cozy Mysteries, and includes recipes!

Enjoyed the sisters, their differences and how they play off each other. Clever plot twists.
Enjoyed this read.
Love the older characters
A fun way to spend an afternoon
Great read. Liked the sisters.
Amusing but total fluff. Good beach reading.
Cute and entertaining.
I really liked it. It left your mind to wonder and try to figure out who did it. With a bit of humor.
I liked the camaraderie between the twins even though at times the antics they got up to were not quite believable. I thought too many characters were introduced but were just left hanging out in the middle of nowhere. The build up to the discovery of the killer was very shallow, almost non existent. It did not stimulate the brain cells but it relieved boredom.
It was good, ended rather abruptly.
It was an easy read with some very entertaining characters.
I started this book but just couldn’t get into it, so I didn’t finish.
Delightful sisters have playful banter all through the story. It is a whimsical murder mystery. I kept thinking that it should be a movie all the time I was reading. I am enthralled with the witty sisters and will look for more like this.
Good mystery.
It was a fun read with quirky characters.
Twin sisters, one artistic and the other an accountant are this book’s main characters. In their mid-sixties, they do everything together. One is divorced and the other widowed, so they have lots of time. This book was an okay read with some charming parts and not too much bumbling around. I especially liked the surprise ending!
If you know your art you’ll love this book. A real “who done-it” that is entertaining.
I really enjoyed this book, made me laugh a lot. The middle aged sisters were a hoot, looking forward to the next one.
Ok
