This book takes you further into the sleepy little French town of St-Buvard, where Maggie and Laurent discover not one but four murders to spice up their tenure in Provence. The wine, the food, the scenery and sexy French chef and winemaker Laurent make the journey a very palatable one indeed!A year spent living in the south of France is not all it’s cracked up to be—especially when you have no … you have no job, a prickly first year of marriage, and your new BFF is murdered virtually before your eyes. Maggie Newberry is determined to help the investigations into Brigitte’s murder even if the incredibly sexy and very available French police detective on the case can only complicate her life in every possible way. Murder in Provence is set in the ancient city of Arles and, like the other books in the series, showcases the sights and mouthwatering cuisine of Provence—with a healthy dash of murder.

Honestly, I couldn’t get into it so I didn’t finish it. Probably would have been much better to start with the first one in the series.
Great! Love all of her books!
Not keen. The main character was always rather a blur and the book seemed to stop abruptly.
Love her Provence books…sorry she won’t put new ones on Kindle, library loan..have to stop reading her…
Very predictable if you’ve read one of the author’s books before.
Sooo
Plot moved slowly. Liked the previous book better.
A great mystery
The entire series is very entertaining.
Wonderful characters in this book, and while it is a part of the series, they were developed well enough that I didn’t feel confused or lacking information to follow what was going on. Will read more books about Maggie as she solves future crimes. Delightful touches of France are a bonus.
I loved the plot and charcters. Have thoughtful images of France and it’s cuisine.
I loved this book. It was hard to put down. I love murder mysteries, and I particularly liked this one since it was set in Provence, France.
Have enjoyed the Maggie character before. Can’t imagine living in France let alone trying to help solve a murder. Enjoyed the escape quality.
Slow confusing beginning, then it was interesting enough to keep me reading.
Hard to get interested in the story jumped around among many characters. I began to enjoy about half way through the story. Surprise ending.
This series has a great sense of place, and the outcomes are usually not predictable.
I love this series of books about Maggie and Laurent. They’re interesting, informative and fun to read. The main characters are people you’d want to have as friends or neighbors – without being too perfect. I’m always happy To see a new title.
Love this series!
Another great read by this author, she does not disappoint 🙂
Entertaining and it was fun to learn about French country recipes along with some French words and phrases.
