This book takes you further into the sleepy little French town of St-Buvard, where Maggie and Laurent discover not one but four murders to spice up their tenure in Provence. The wine, the food, the scenery and sexy French chef and winemaker Laurent make the journey a very palatable one indeed!A year spent living in the south of France is not all it’s cracked up to be—especially when you have no … you have no job, a prickly first year of marriage, and your new BFF is murdered virtually before your eyes. Maggie Newberry is determined to help the investigations into Brigitte’s murder even if the incredibly sexy and very available French police detective on the case can only complicate her life in every possible way. Murder in Provence is set in the ancient city of Arles and, like the other books in the series, showcases the sights and mouthwatering cuisine of Provence—with a healthy dash of murder.

I enjoyed reading Maggie’s adventures. Descriptions are real and you can visualize the scenes.
Liked them all. Best to read in order.
I gave up on it.
Not the best in the series and it didn’t work that well as a stand alone novel. Still worth reading if you follow the series.
I enjoy books especially mysteries where I can’t guess the ending.
I enjoyed the book. It was easy to read and fast moving.
I always enjoy books taking place in France.
If you enjoy books that blend romance and murder investigations, this book (and series) is for you. Amateur detective Maggie continues her investigation, often withholding evidence from the police and sharing it with people who might be involved in the murders. All this goes on in the wine country of France. Filled with good wine and good food.
Great series
It was fine, will start with the first book to get some clarity on the characters.
Boring characters. No plot.
The Maggie Newberry Mystery series is one of my favorites. I’ve read all 13 of them and am eagerly awaiting #14. The characters feel like old friends.
Liked the setting and the characters.
Part of a series, I’ve read them all and just waiting for the next book.
This is the book that got me started on this series- love the characters, the situations, the story, and how the author concludes them. It’s the kind of book you hate to finish because you want to hang with these friends, but you stay up all night to finish it because you have to know how it ends.
Very enjoyable. Excellent characters, good story line, entertaining. I enjoy all books in this series.
I love this author!
