The French Riviera is the ultimate travel destination…unless murder is on the itinerary. When an old high school friend is murdered on the Côte d’Azur while auditioning for the hit TV travel show “Americans See Europe,” Maggie is forced to break away from village life and new motherhood to find the killer. Her sleuthing takes her from the sun-drenched beaches of Saint-Tropez to the cafes and … and backstreets of Arles, across lavender fields and stunning medieval ruins and straight into the evil hands of her most diabolical adversary yet.
Can Maggie find her friend’s killer before an innocent man pays for the crime? And can she do it without paying the ultimate price herself?

Love all the books in this series. Characters are great, the plots (well, most of them) are credible, and the writing style is enjoyable. I’d highly recommend d them, especially if read in order.
Interesting characters and a good mix of mystery, family love and drama with the backdrop of wine producing in another country.
I feel there are way too many subplots in this book. The characters aren’t very likeable and the main plot is predictable.
Excellent writer. Loved her style.
Often confusing
I love all of her books. It’s not just the mysteries that are really great, but the education you get about France and vineyards. I love this family and their friends. Sometimes they have problems with their harvest, their friends and their marriage but somehow things turn out well. You don’t need to read from the beginning but it is so much better if you do. It starts in the U.S. but it quickly goes to France and it is almost all in France.
The thing I liked best was the twisting plot. Just when one crisis was averted, another popped up, increasing the level of suspense.
Enjoyed all the books in this series, but this one is really good!
Loved it!
Loved it!
The Maggie Newberry series is always intriguing and I appreciate how the characters have grown
I have enjoyed the series, have come to know the characters.
I love this series. It has a bit of everything. I want a “Laurent”!
This series is interesting and intriguing. I really enjoy a look at vineyard living in Provence.
Interesting characters 🙂 Good storyline; light reading; good summer book
The Maggie Newberry Mysteries are always a winner. Hard to put down and characters who become a part of your family.
I thoroughly enjoy this writer’s books. Based upon her portrayal of this part of France in other books, I would love to vacation there sometime.
This book was off. I found the suspects shallow and totally uninteresting. I wouldn’t want to spend 5 minutes with any of them. I did finish the book.
I will continue reading this author, as all her other books were great! This one, not so much
great characters. like visiting family
this has twist that has a way of keeping you reading
Couldn’t really get into it. Finally quit after one third
