Maggie and Grace’s plan to work out their differences at a charming ski resort in Grenoble takes a deadly nose-dive when they become trapped by an avalanche with ten people–one of whom is a cold-blooded murderer. Will the two of them make up in time to uncover who the killer is before he or she systematically makes his way through the guest roster, one murder at a time? Book 11 in the popular … popular Maggie Newberry mystery series, this book is a clean read with no graphic violence, sex or strong language.

Love the characters the suspense a very enjoyable read.
Could this really happen? I never had a clue about the ending — and neither did the husband. WOW! Read this for a great plot in an unusual circumstance.
When I first read book #1 in the series, I was ambivalent. Now that I have persevered and read quite a few more, find the characters have been fleshed out and are interesting people. Love the setting – Loire Valley in France. murder in Grenoble takes our heroine to an adventure in Switzerland. Worth the read .
This is a good murder mystery. It starts out a little bit slow, but when it picks up speed, it’s great! Maggie & Grace are isolated with a group of strangers — one of whom is an insane killer. Laurent is stuck at home with a totally different problem. Will they all find answers before the killer gets to THEM?
A twisted plot and surprise ending make this story a fun read. The series is very entertaining.
This is absolutely the best Maggie Newberry novel ever! Maggie and Grace are going on a ski vacation to Grenoble, where Grace hopes to mend their friendship. At home, Laurent is dealing with visiting inlaws, one of whom has Alzheimers, as well as Graces’s neurotic daughter ZouZou. And when an avalanche destroys the chalet and traps the guests with a serial killer, the novel’s tension ratchets up enormously. A great read.
I have read the majority of the series and do like the characters. Good mystery as well.
Great series with great characters
It helps if you’ve read some of the other books in the series. You can read stand along but you get a better flavor for the characters.
It was too “over the top” in plot twists.
In contrast to the others in this series, the plot in this one is way over the top and just not believable. Too many complicating factors in what is not a great plot in the first case. Characters are still enjoyable, but… I want to emphasize that all other books in this series are very good.
Unrealistic, dull
I have come to really enjoy this authors books and havè recommended them to family and friends. I particularly enjoy the French settings, recipes and culture. I lived in Europe for several years and enjoy revisiting areas I visited while living overseas!
Great descriptive setting and interesting story with a well written plot and some surprising twists.
Her books are always great reads!
Interesting and realistic since I was in a similar situation many years ago
Different, interesting, enjoyable.
I enjoy the characters in this series.
