Welcome to Cherry Hills, where small-town life can be deadly. Kat Harper fled Cherry Hills, Washington fifteen years ago never expecting to return. And she certainly never expected murder to strike so close to home. Kat has barely settled into her new apartment when she spies her neighbor’s cat Matty sitting on her doorstep. But Matty’s not making a social call. The newly orphaned feline has just … newly orphaned feline has just witnessed her owner’s violent death.
But who would want to kill Mrs. Tinsdale? Was it one of her fellow animal rescue volunteers? A money-hungry daughter? Or a local veterinarian with something to hide?
If Kat wants to close the case, she’s going to need Matty to lend a furry paw to solving the crime. But how do you convince a cat eyewitness to reveal “whodunit”?
All of the Cozy Cat Caper Mystery books can be enjoyed as standalones but will be better appreciated as part of the series. The books are light, fun cozy mystery novellas featuring an animal-loving female amateur sleuth, lovable and not-so-lovable quirky characters, and a page-turning mystery that needs solving. None of the books include cliffhangers, bad language, or graphic scenes.

Great characters who make you feel like you know them. Could be your neighbor. And has a cat/animal shelter. Can’t go wrong. Hope to read more or author
I could not get into this book; deleted it from my kindle within the first couple of chapters.
I found it to be to simple.
Delightful read
Very entertaining mystery solved by a cat’s reaction after witnessing the murder of it’s owner.
I really enjoyed this book. Although it was just a short novella I loved the setup for the main character Kat to return home and meet up with Matty her new cat. Working with animals is great. I loved that this was about a pet charity. I recommend this as a great starter book for a fun series.
IT’S AN EASY READING STORY.
While the story was fun and interesting, it was a real disappointment to discover that is all it was – a story. I would like to read further but but the individual stories are way overpriced. Very disappointing.
This was a nice easy read. I like the way the storyline is laid out and I look forward to more in this series. The characters are well developed.
Book was just ok. I probably won’t read more books by this author.
The book was well written and I enjoyed the characters but it seemed to go by too quickly.
I didn’t like this one. Minimal mystery and delt more on the care and feeding of animals than anything else. No development of the characters. Only finished it because it was short.
Great read. Lots of plot twists and turns. I stayed up late to finish it.
It was rather slow and childish. If you want a book that is not involved this is it
Quick relaxing read!
This book is a cute fast read! It is enjoyable from being to end!
Short read. The murder was solved in only 55 pages but was interesting to me. I like stories with animals and children. It was very easy to read and appropriate for all ages. An appetizer for reading future books. I enjoyed it.
Need to like cats. This story reminds me of stories I read as a young girl.
Liked Kat and the other characters in the story. Kat has common sense and uses it. I will be reading more books written by Paige.
Interesting characters with unique personalities, including the cat! An intriguing plot to entertain and keep you turning pages. The villain was a bit obvious, but that did not detract from the story. I’m looking forward to seeing how the characters progress and the storylines unfold in future books.
