Summer on the Côte d’Azur means tan bodies, wide beaches and glamorous nightclubs throbbing with the vitality of the rich and beautiful. So when Maggie Newberry arranges to meet an old boyfriend at the International Advertising Festival in Cannes, it’s no surprise she begins to feel the seduction of her old life. But amidst the glamor, beautiful clothes and brilliant creative work on display, … display, there is also the side of the business Maggie had forgotten was always there too. The petty rivalries, the dirty deals, the betrayals, are all still front and center. When the back-stabbing turns literal and the wife of Maggie’s childhood friend is accused of the murder, Maggie knows she has to help.
Along the way she needs to fight the police, Laurent, and even her own natural instincts about who she is now and the life she left behind.
She learns the hard way that the treachery rife in her old industry has since ramped up to a whole new level—one that her quiet life as a vigneron’s wife has not at all prepared her for…and one that could very well get her killed.

Since I love the South of France I enjoyed revisiting the different places easy reading
Not a great read. Characters were flat and plot was trivial.
I have loved all of the books in this series. My only problem is the inability to put it down! I think I’ve read them all and keep checking for more.
I’ve read several from this series. I like the characters and the story telling of each book.
Always like to see what Maggie gets into next!
Excellent read
I enjoyed this book, and this entire series
fun read. loved the local and descriptive scenario…
Enjoyed the plot.. great descriptions of the area in France ..
Loved it!
I’m partial to the characters in this series.
this is the 4th or 5th story I have read in this series. The settings are interesting, the characters well developed, and the mysteries fun to work through.
I just love this book. Not only was the story fast-paced, it also to the time to dive into the main character herself. You learned so much about the inner workings of the heroine as she navigates this time in her life not to mention she’s trying to solve a murder as well. Can’t wait to read the next book!
Great series.
As always these books about Maggie are entertaining as she is always in the midst of a murder with interesting and complicated characters. An easy to read book that will surely entertain.
Good plot twists and a charming look at French life.
Some characters were well-developed; some not. Perhaps by design. A few interesting plot twists.
I found the last parts of the novel annoying as the characters seemed to make one mistake after the next.
I enjoyed reading this book.
Loved it, the second one of this series I’v read and I do look forward to reading more.
