I enjoyed this book because it wasn’t threatening. The characters are endearing. Nice cozy read.
Great read
Light reading, quirky characters. I didn’t figure out “who done it” until nearly the end which makes it a good mystery in my book. I’d buy the others in the series to read. The book can stand alone too.
Not a Stephanie Plum but funny enough to entertain.
I really enjoy this book.
Good story
Can’t bother finishing it.
Recently on vacation and literally read this on the beach. Light, entertaining read with a kicky lead character. Cute!
This book was a fun read, first time I read this author, looking for her other books
Book basis is using a perm rod to wind around a man’s “jewels.” Is that even possible? The heroine gets into even more unrealistic happenstances as the story continues. Okay for a bedtime read.
Really enjoyed it.
I loved this book. It was funny and entertaining. A joy to read.
Loved it!!! Couldn’t wait to read the next chapter and the next. Got me so tickled, I’d laugh out loud. Great mystery! Keeps you very interested! Bought the second book as soon as I finished the first!!
This is a typical cozy mystery in many respects. Heroine owns her own business (beauty salon) and solves murders, possible romance with detective. It was not easy to guess whodunnit. The thing that was different was the heroine had a hot flash and/or practically fainted every time the detective came near her. Not Jessica Fletcher or Miss Marple. Also, while this book was billed as #1 in the series, it kept referring back to a previous murder she had solved which included permanent bodily harm to the genitals of 1 of the murderers by a beauticians tool. If you like your cozy’s to be steamier than normal, you’ll like this. I personally could have lived without it, so I dropped it to 4 stars. It was otherwise well written and a good mystery. It did not contain swearing. While part of a series, it stood alone, no cliffhangers or unresolved mysteries.
Just a fun light read.
Rather silly but what to expect from a cozy mystery?
A bit too many calamities for me. It did keep me guessing as to who was the murderer.
Fun book for a rainy day not to deep just a light fun read.l
Not my type of book. I woon’t be buting anymore by this author.
Sorry, I just didn’t enjoy this book and stopped reading after a few chapters.
