In the fifth book in this series, Lt. Dekker gets an advance warning that he might be investigating a couple of murders when two people turn up missing after a high school reunion. When those bodies do indeed turn up, the lieutenant and his sergeant sidekick go to work. They start by interviewing everyone who attended that high school reunion. In their favor is the fact that not a lot of people … people attended the reunion, but it doesn’t help them any when they find out that everyone hated one of the victims, but none of them appear guilty of murder.

I really enjoy the characters of Lou and Cy. They are funny, and work well together.
A good mystery with a lot of humor. The characters are charming & witty.
I love all the books from this series.
A very enjoyable read. Well written cozy mystery. It’s a keeper for my ebook library to read again in the future.
Steve Demaree’s books are funny and light without unnecessary gory details. Each one is a dependable friend and an enjoyable read.
Cute book hero characters with a good mystery.
This was a creative book, and I had trouble figuring out “who did it” til close to the end.
Enjoyable story with a few twists!
Reading about Cy’s change in life style through healthful eating, exercise and planning to be successful was inspiring, and still he was working hard on the murder case! He has his priorities that include prayer and Bible reading. Very enjoyable read.
Awful book. No clear ending
Nice cozy mystery!
Kept waiting for them to find out who did the murder and they couldn’t so never mind let’s go on with our lives. Sorry I wasted my time with this book.
Very entertaining. I enjoy this author immensely. This series continues to amuse.
Hated it. Juvenile writing.
While I usually enjoy Dekker novels, this one was too wordy, took too long to get to the disappointing ending. Reading was an uphill battle.
It was mildly entertaining. Some of the dialog was rather corny!
