If you love closed-room mysteries like And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, you’ll love this holiday who-dunnit.
This is the first book set at Mistletoe Manor in Windy Pines, Idaho. Don’t miss the others, including new release (November, 2019) IN THE HEART OF WINDY PINES.

Great plot and characters. Unexpected twist! Keeps you reading.
A book that reminds me of the game Clue but with it’s very own plot line and twists and turns you dont see coming.
I felt that the premise was interesting, but some of the situations were awfully contrived,
Witty and entertaining, good story line and a great ending.
Loved this book. It reminded me of Agatha Christie’s “And then there were none”. A story of simple revenge. I’m normally quite good at guessing “who dunnit” but to find this culprit I had to read to the end. Looking forward to reading the next Mistletoe Manor book 🙂
7 people just happened to be at the inn on the same night of another murder years ago. Accidents happen but when a bloody leash is found near the crushed body of the dog’s owner, it looks like murder.
Cute story but felt like a rehash of Agatha Christie’s And then There Were None
Kept my interest..the characters were wonderful..the story line was like Agatha Christie’s, “And then there were none.” A good, and fast read.
Twisting constantly! Good read
Light read and enjoyable
Easy read but pretty flat as far a character development and some parts just didn’t seem probable. Even with an easy light mystery there needs to be a buy in that it makes sense. I kept thinking “there is another murder, so soon everyone will be dead” and rolling my eyes.
Quick, easy read.
I hate to give a book a bad review, but no one in this book behaved the way actual people do. I especially disliked the way law enforcement officers were portrayed. I hope the author will keep writing but trying harder to reflect actual people in actual circumstances.
The plot in this book is a little bit different from other run of the mill mysteries.
The only part I could not get past was why the guests did not leave when their lives were in danger.
Quick easy read.
“Murder at Mistletoe Manor” by Holly-Tierney Bedford is a wonderful mystery that snags readers’ attention from the very beginning. We meet Klarinda Snow who has purchased Mistletoe Manor in the mountain town of Windy Pines, Idaho and is looking forward to having guests there for Christmas. The manor has seven guestrooms and Klarinda finds it strange that all seven have been booked for the same Tuesday night, a night which is neither right before Christmas nor during any special holiday. She has two people working for her, One is Myrtle, who can repair anything, shovel snow, get wood and help keep the rooms clean and tidy and the other is Pierre, the inn’s chef who prepares all the meals. Both Myrtle and Pierre live in separate apartments in the old carriage house behind the inn and have lived there for years, working for the prior owners of the inn. The inn is also used as a dinner restaurant for the town’s people. As the guests arrive separately and are shown to their rooms, Klarinda notices that most of them are used to staying in posh hotels and some even complain about the appearance of and accommodations in the manor as well as the lack of amenities. None of the guests pay and each shows Klarinda an invitation they have received telling them that they have won one night of luxury at the inn as well as an airline ticket and taxi voucher. The invitation also says that all meals and expenses have been paid for and they should expect a life changing evening. As the guests arrive, most of them realize that they know each other from attending the same boarding school and have not seen one another for years. Then the Windy Pines bike messenger arrives and hands Klarinda an envelope containing ten thousand dollars in cash and a note that says the money should cover all of the evenings’ expenses. There is no identification on the envelope and no identification of the sender inside and when Klarinda phones the bike messenger who had already left, she learns that the envelope was left at his shop with the Manor’s name and address on the envelope and the delivery fee was left on top of it. Readers will start to wonder who invited the guests and what will happen during their one evening stay. Then there is also another happening to think about, a very bad snowstorm that closes the roads to the inn. The guests are now all snowed in. I could not put the book down till I found out exactly what will happen at the Inn and I am sure other readers will not be able to do so either. I highly recommend reading it.
