“Clever and entertaining, you’ll love this charming Golden Age mystery series. And the fashion is to die for!” – Molly C. Quinn, actress, CastleThere’s a skeleton in the attic! When Ginger Gold arrives at her childhood London home ~ Hartigan House ~ she’s shocked to discover decade-old remains from some poor woman in the attic.
It’s a mystery that once again puts Ginger alongside the handsome … from some poor woman in the attic.
It’s a mystery that once again puts Ginger alongside the handsome Chief Inspector Basil Reed. Who is the victim? And how on earth did she end up in Ginger’s home?
In order to solve the troubling puzzle, Ginger and her good friend Haley Higgins recreate a soirée hosted in 1913 by Ginger’s late father, George Hartigan. A shadow of suspicion is cast on her father’s legacy, and Ginger isn’t so sure she wants to know the truth about the man she dearly loved.
Before the night is over, another person is dead. Can Ginger stop the killer before she becomes the next victim?
Researching for the Ginger Gold Mysteries has been so much fun. I hope you sense that as you read. Ginger Gold is smart, savvy, and delightful. The fashions, the dances, the CRIME. The character of Haley Higgins, a medical student at the London Medical School for Women allows me to further delve into another keen interest of mine: forensics. Never fear, the Ginger Gold Mysteries are COZY, so no scary, graphic on-stage violence. You’ll find these books to be clean reads, with no swearing or sex. I hope you enjoy the Ginger Gold Mystery series!

This was a good story!
This was a really fun book. Well done characterization, good story. I’ll probably read more from this author especially with the same characters.
I loved this book.
I love Lee Strauss! I really enjoyed reading all of this series!
Good, clean old fashion mystery.
A shock to come home to a body. The main character adjusted to change in country and plans easier than most would.
Great story. Great historical background. Hard to put down.
I enjoy this genre. Totally readable but not absurd.
Another great British mystery. This was a good story, very original and believable characters and once again I didn’t guess who done it until the end. Love it when that happens. I can see this being a TV series
Good read
Pretty much straightforward English country manorhouse mystery.
I absolutely loved this book.
Great mystery keeps you wanting to read on to the very end.
Made me want to look up more books by this author! intriguing to read a mystery woven into the years after the “Great War”,
Well written Cozy mystery. If you don’t like the current genre of women sleuths solving murders, you might not like this, but if you do, you’ll like this. This is also a period story set just after WW1. It is part of a series, but each story stands alone.
Did not like.
This book was hard to put down once I started reading.
Was ok
This book is very readable. The characters are very well developed. I Definately recommend this book for anyone who loves a good mystery.
