Espionage, intrigue . . . murder . . .It’s 1924 and war widow fashionista Ginger Gold’s new Regent Street dress shop, Feathers & Flair, is the talk of the London fashion district attracting aristocrats from Paris to Berlin to Moscow.Ginger is offered her first job as a private detective when her sister-in-law’s stage actor friend goes missing, and though the dress shop takes most of her time, … though the dress shop takes most of her time, Ginger takes the case.
But when a Russian grand duchess dies at the shop’s official grand opening event, Ginger ignores the missing person to chase a killer. It’s a decision she will live to regret.

I loved it! I hope Basil and Ginger work out things. This is a must read series.
Murder at Feathers & Flair by Lee Strauss was an engaging mystery set in London after the First World War. Ms. Strauss has written a complex mystery with believeable characters, international intrigue and historical accuracy. I was totally wrapped up in the story and didn’t put it down until I finished it. I’m enjoying this series and ready to start another one.
Very amusing story from a different time.
Fashion, Flair and Feathers in this one and a very clever mystery too! Five stars to a book and author who has it all.
Keep them coming!
I normally do not like period books but I rather enjoyed this one.
Enjoyed the plot, characters and the twist it takes. Looking forward to her next book!
It was a fun and entertaining murder set in London.
Fun to read and love the period references.
The creation of feathers and flare adds to the atmosphere of this series.
This book is as delightful as the previous three. The characters, descriptive clothing, and the twists and turns throughout make for a very entertaining story. Great beach, fireside or uplifting quarantine read. Happy reading!Looking forward to the next book in this series. Highly recommend!
Ginger Gold is a classy widow with a great sense of fashion and a penchant for getting involved in murder cases. The characters are fun and interesting. Feathers and Flair is the perfect name for Gingers clothing store. Now if her grand opening had only gone better…. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.
Murder at Feathers & Flair is the fourth cozy mystery with unofficial private investigator, Lady Ginger Gold and Scotland Yard Detective Reed. I love these mysteries, set in the post WWI era and this one set in London. Strauss uses lots of action and fun characters to entertain her readers. Missing actors, secret agents and a convoluted tale of the Blue Desire necklace that’s gone missing keep interest high. I listened to a library copy of the audiobook and narrator Elizabeth Klett does a wonderful job telling Lady Gold’s story. Can’t wait for book 5 in the series.
The series is good. I would recommend reading them in sequence though this is not necessary. If you enjoy Miss Fischer you will certainly enjoy this series.
This was the first book of Lee Strauss’ that I have read and I’m definitely hooked on her books and especially this series. I can see a lot more of her books in my future.
Totally hooked on the series. Love the characters and plot.
Good setting.
The book began with the disappearance of Angus Green and ended with me still not knowing his story!
many characters were introduced and I suspect that they all had interesting stories to tell, I did not hear them! Lady Meredith was left hanging. What was the purpose of Smithwick in the story? Blake Brown, the reporter, did he fulfill his role? Scout and his cousin, unbelievable characters, who didn’t need/want help in those terrible times in London?
Unpredictable mystery story taking place in London in the 1920’s.
Seemed a little short, but it was interesting. I like the historical setting.
I’ve read four of the Ginger Gold books and really enjoyed them all. The characters are wonderful and the 1920 era comes alive in a cozy mystery way.
