Sunnyside Retirement Witches Community gets its fair share of visitors. Some of them like the entertainment and others enjoy volunteering. But when one of the sight-seers ends up dead, Zoey Rivers has to figure out what happened. The residents come up with a fantastic idea: Since the retirement complex seems to have more than its fair share of murders, they figure it might be a good idea to have … idea to have a psychic on staff.
So, Zoey hires Iris. And all the information she pulls from the ghosts of the growing list of victims points to Zoey herself.
Except the clues aren’t pointing to her. They’re fingering someone she’d thought was long dead.

Zoey Rivers is the director for the Sunnyside Retirement Witches Community and has her handful with the special residents. When a murder occurs outside the community’s doors and one of the residents is considered a suspect, Zoey knows she needs to dive in and solve the case. What she doesn’t expect is a visit of the familiar kind, a psychic wanting to take up residence, and a demon retiree added to the mix.
In this book of the series, you get a closer look at Zoey’s family and occurrences from the past, the budding relationship between Zoey and Steve, and how people don’t have to be of the same blood to be considered family. It is a cozy mystery with dynamic characters, an enthralling storyline, and enough twists and turns to keep you from wanting to put the book down.

Great, fast paced read. I have not read the previous books in the series but that wasn’t an issue. This book not only held my interest until the very end, but the introduction of each new character had me rethinking my guess of who the murderer was. I didn’t want to put this book down. I was captivated from start to finish.

Not Easy to Keep Mum
I have read every book in this series about Zoey and the zany characters at the paranormal retirement community where she works. Something in Zoey’s past is coming back to haunt her, literally and figuratively! I absolutely love the way this series mixes Zoey’s life with those of her residents. The community members add such color. In this book, Zoey is facing parental issues. Her crew with her retirement community has her back, but oh, my! I love that the magical aspect of these books is written with such humor. If you’ve read and enjoyed the other books in this series, you will thoroughly enjoy this latest addition.
Zoey Rivers is asked by Luke to help solve a murder when the guest of one of her residents at the Sunnyside Retirement Witches Community is found dead. She and rival witch Hope are both asked to look into the case. When a second murder points to Zoey and her Mom as the main suspects, Zoey and her residents have to solve the case and clear their names. Zoey and Steve get closer in this book too, which was wonderful! I love this series and I can’t wait for the next book! I totally adore this series. The residents of the Sunnyside Retirement Community are the best. They are supportive, loving and overall fun to be around. There’s never a dull moment at Sunnyside. With this book several questions are answered about Zoey’s parents. Hopefully they will be able to put the pieces back together. Only time will tell.

I’d move into this retirement home in a heart beat! I love all the characters and their antics. The solving of some long time mysteries in this one was heartwarming and exciting. Can’t wait to see what all the residents get into in the next book.
I don’t think I have enjoyed a supernatural mystery series this much in years! There is something amazing about Zoey and her retirement community that makes me want to live in that world and be friends with them all!
In this story Zoey has several events going on and she needs the back up of her friends. She is still trying the find her feelings for Steve, finds the mother she thought was dead, deals with demonic energy, and is helping her detective with a murder. What a action and humor packed story this was!
I LOVE the residents at the retirement home, they steal every scene for me, I love Zoey and her attitude and her positive outlook on life; and I love that this series just clean fun that makes me smile, laugh and enjoy turning the pages. I received an ARC via Booksprout and am leaving an honest review.
This book pick up with Zoey trying to get her feelings for Steve straight and dealing with a usually commotion of the retirement home.
There is a person bothering one of her residents at the home, she asks her to leave. Then she is informed by Luke that there is a murder that he would like to check out with him. She goes with Luke and Hope. Turns out that the person that was murdered was the woman that was bothering her resident. He is a suspect as no one saw him at the home when she was murdered.
Then a when she decides to go on a date with Steve, some weird guy interrupts and talks about his grandmother. They follow him around.
The crimes are seeming to be liked to Zoey and her past. She has to try to solve this murder before her resident or herself are arrested for the crimes they didn’t comment
Zoey with the help of the residents, friends and Steve will solve the crimes that have occurred.
This book has a lot of action going in this book, a lot of different mysteries, this will keep wanting to read to see how they get the person and how it all will end. I truly enjoyed this book.
I received an ARC Copy of this book from BookSprout, this is my honest review and opinion
Demons and Djinn and contracts – oh my!
Zoey faces several new challenges in this book. The mother she thought dead the last ten years was in her room , stealing her shoes. New energies are popping up all over town. Demon signatures. Marv, her poopoohead of a father returns – what an insensitive jerk! Zoey also tries to resolve the dating Steve issue- awkward!
Whatever else happens, Zoey knows that the family she made at the retirement home will have her back, no matter what. Their execution can be a bit festive, but their intentions are mostly good- more or less.
Fun and action packed KU series!
