A New York Times Book Review Editor’s ChoiceA Richard & Judy UK Pick Paula McLain’s New York Times–bestselling novel piqued readers’ interest about Ernest Hemingway’s romantic life. But Hadley was only one of four women married, in turn, to the legendary writer. Just as T.C. Hadley, Pauline, Martha and Mary: each Mrs. Hemingway thought their love would last forever; each one was wrong.
Told in four parts and based on real love letters and telegrams, Mrs. Hemingway reveals the explosive love triangles that wrecked each of Hemingway’s marriages. Spanning 1920s bohemian Paris through 1960s Cold War America, populated with members of the fabled “Lost Generation,” Mrs. Heminway is a riveting tale of passion, love, and heartbreak.

Short book that seemed long, boring for the most part..
Interesting perspective- enjoyed it
The Paris Wife was a much better written book than Mrs. Hemingway. While Mrs. Hemingway is informative and interesting I, personally, do not especially care for this type of writing. It jumps back and forth from time frame to time frame.
Very Well written. Romantic, funny, informative.
I’ve always been fascinated by the person a of Ernest Hemingway and the relationships in his life.
I am still reading this book but still recommend it. Great writing1!!
some people sure get a lot of life out of their life!
Great history of Ernest Hemingway.
Enjoyed this time in history. A little slow.
As one of the greatest authors of our time, I’ve enjoyed learning about Ernest Hemingway way and his great loves and wives. He was such a tortured soul. I found it almost amazing that a man of his accomplishment was so tortured and feared being alone. He went from wife to wife without stopping to ask why. I’m immersing myself in all th8ngs Hemingway preparing to visit Cuba and his home there, Finca.
Beautifully written with colorful description of characters and places. Loved it. Would recommend it.
Excellent read. Eye opening. Love the way the author presented the story. Heartbreaking in the way that someone who had everything going for him wasted it all.
The multiple Mrs. Hemmingways is a book that goes well with a lazy afternoon plus rum and coke.
Forget everything you thought you knew about Ernest Hemingway’s four wives. In a quartet of searing interlocked portraits, Naomi Wood brings vividly to life the real women who loved and lost the legendary charmer and great writer. Mrs. Hemingway is a luminous heartbreaking novel. Wood is a writer to watch.
A beautifully written book about Hemingway’s four wives. Really emotional but the writing is very spare and clean. It’s a while since I read this but I still remember so clearly. Super book!
